I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Vision. When I arrived my reservation had been canceled (not by the hotel) and I found myself with nowhere to stay. The staff were very kind and gave me a room at a discount to help me out because I had very little money in my budget. They checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable and were very friendly. The room was a good size and clean. The meals I ate at the hotel were very tasty and inexpensive. The hotel is also an easy walk from the train station and many bus stops. My only criticism is that the bed was very hard and not comfortable to sleep on. Overall I had a great experience.
Best value for price paid. Old hotel but clean and spacious room compared to surrounding hotel/motel. Good for business stay. Not fancy or luxury but provided comfortable bed and clean room. Free WiFi but I already rent a portable WiFi from airport, so haven't try. Tv have so many channels to choose from. Lots of restaurants and store nearby, some operating24hours. 5-8mins walk from airport bus station. Subway and mall near airport bus station. Overall definitely will come back if I'm on budget for business/leisure.
This place makes all Best Westerns look bad. Carpets were terribly dirty because Koreans don't know how to maintain carpets. Staff didn't speak much beyond hello in English even though it was supposedly foreigner friendly as advertised. Restaurant was closed all weekend so no room service for food. More than half the outlets didn't work to charge electronics. There was a hair in the sink. The cost was about the same as the small local motels in the area. They said delivery was not allowed for food. I got the basic standard room but it was too hot and no where to adjust the temperature so I had to open the window and the smokey and smelly air of the city came in as well as the annoying traffic on the busy road. Hotel fail for 2015.
value for money...nice room...nearby shopping complex enter6 and wangsimni subway station ...from airport better take bus no 6010....for subway take exit 3....hotel vision is near to fire station and tower building.
Only 5 minutes walk to metro station at Wangsimni Station where you can take metro line no. 2 and 5. Besides that also train, Gyeongchun line(? not sure). Even you are new to Seoul, you can take airport luminsine bus 6010 to reach there. E-mart is in the vicinity and even the travellers in Dongdaemun have to come here if they want to visit E-marts. Numerous inexpensive restaurants nearby and you do not have to worry what to eat but to make a choice. Rooms is reasonably space and inexpensive with tub and shower. Electric kettle, hair blower and TV provided. Room cleaned daily and towel replaced daily too. Rug is a bit worn but if you think about the price, you don't mind it. Friendly staff with good spoken English. Perfect dwelling place for budget travellers.
The only good thing is the location of the hotel is not too far away from Metro Station and the male receptionist can speak a little bit English.....which is not common in Korea. However the impression given during our stay was: This is a very old and tired hotel that you won't be interest to go back again. The entrance was old, the elevator was very old, carpet is extremely tired, guest room furniture are old, some of them are broken, mattress was in bad condition, the lighting in bathroom is very dark. Hate to write a bad review like this but frankly I would tell all my friend & family to stay away from it.
Vision hotel is just a short walk away from the subway station Wangsimni exit 2. There’s also an airport transfer service nearby, but that you would have to lug your luggage across 3 busy, uneven roads. And you have to tackle the front steps of the hotel too. I’m sure quite there are hotels who have airport transfer service just outside their hotel around Seoul. Note: Airport charges by TAXI is about 70,000 won with peak hour traffic. There are loads of BBQ meat shops behind the hotel. No problem in finding late night food. I also saw many dodgy motels (I’m guessing they are lovers hotels?) in that area too, so kids might not be suitable there. There were no porters, and their counter staff wasn’t too friendly. The staff introduced us a BBQ meat place on our 1st night, saying it was good and cheap, and they always dined there. Turns out to be the most expensive shop around. We had found better BBQ meat places on our subsequent nights there. Therefore if you don’t speak Korean, good to come prepared with your homework done ! Best of luck !
10 min walk from Wangsimni station, hotel location is pretty good. There are some restaurants around, but maybe it's better to visit Wangsimni station for more selections. Price was amazing (with discount on agoda). For cheap motel price, we got decent real hotel room with good WiFi, which was pretty fast. I will definitely come back if they have another discount.
Despite the close proximity to Wangsimni station, there is quite a lot of stairs to overcome before reaching the hotel, hence it is not recommended for backpackers. The facilities is average. However, the breakfast is really not nice, and it is quite expensive, ard 10 USD for a western breakfast. The porter is not very friendly, and the internet connection is quite unstable. There is also no air-con during our period of stay, and the bathroom lights keep switching off by themselves periodically.
We came to Seoul on a travel tour, so the hotel was included in the package. A van took us from the airport to the hotel, so I wouldn't know how hard it is to find on your own (although it does seem a bit complicated as the driver had trouble finding it the first time). The room was small, but clean. Front desk staff didn't speak much English, so we had to be creative in asking questions. There's also a small dining area within the hotel. We had a free breakfast coupon there....the portion was a bit small (compared to what you are used to getting in North America). We were fine with it, but you're used to eating bigger portions, then you might want to go out elsewhere to get food. Overall, it's a good value for the price you pay per night.
