perfect breakfast with lots of homemade stuff, very very good bed in a large modern perfectly equiped cosy room ,very nice large bathroom. We had the chance of watching the polarlights lying in bed through the window of our room. warm pool outside (38°-40°)
Hands down one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel is architecturally fascinating, the thermal pool steaming, the food exquisite, and Skrumpa the hotel dog the perfect host. The room and bathroom were generous, beds comfy, and tub and shower hot. The proprietors Olafur and Anna went beyond personalizing the experience for each guest. We had the good fortune of viewing the Aurora Borealis with Olaf, Anna and the rest of the guests a couple of nights. It became a celebratory occasion. Anna took pics of us all before the Northern Lights and taught me how to shoot them on my own. This was a perfect base from which to explore Southern Iceland and the Golden Circle thanks to the attention and care of Olaf and Anna.
With 360 degree views, this lovely boutique hotel has the perfect location for experiencing the best of Iceland - especially if you are lucky enough to see the Northern Lights as we were. Our hosts Anna and Olafur made us feel welcome with their delicious cooking and warm homely atmosphere. The comfy designer rooms and undisturbed views are just magical. We shall be back for more...!
You can't get a better northern lights opportunity than at 360. The owner was kind enough to take our picture with the lights in the background. If the sky is clear and there is activity this is the place to be.
Very unique and private high end hotel. Olaf and his family who own the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. Their spa is absolutely incredible with their own hot spring water channeled in from a local farm. A must stay if you are in the area.
We loved this boutique hotel. The owners were incredibly kind and gracious, the space is well designed and stylish. We stayed in the largest suite, which included a separate sitting area, huge spa bathroom, and two patios. The spa pool was really wonderful--hot geothermal water but in space room with open windows so accompanied by a cool breeze. Breakfast, included, was delicious. We traveled with a child and the owners provided a crib with sheets and a booster seat. I would say the hotel is child-friendly in that the owners were clearly welcoming of our family, but we felt we were disturbing the tranquility of the other guests only because it's such a restful and calming location. It is, as others say, in the middle of nowhere, but it's only a 15-minute drive from Selfoss. This hotel felt as high-end place as other 5-star hotels we've stayed at.
We stayed here for two nights on our driving trip to Iceland and found a great family-run boutique hotel. Our room was in the middle of the corridor and was comfortable, clean and quiet. The spa is lovely and a great experience during your stay. The highlights were the dinners and the dog! We liked dinner so much during the first night we ate there the second night as well! Recommend!
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay at 360 Hotel, the owners were accommodating and gracious hosts, the room was lovely and the food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. We we treated to great views of the Northern Lights right outside of our room and the location of 360 Hotel is central to many sights including the golden circle and several waterfalls close by, would definitely recommenced this hotel and would stay again for sure.
I really enjoyed the 360 Hotel. It is located out in the middle of nowhere and it’s a bit difficult to find, but once you do find it, you will be in for a treat. The hotel is new, having been opened only 6 months ago or so and the two very friendly owners (husband and wife) are there all the time. Their friendly dog is also there. The hotel is extremely quiet as there is no traffic at all in the area. The windows look out on a tranquil countryside. The rooms are very spacious, the bathroom huge with two sinks, and the rain shower is really nice once you figure out how it works. (The owners explain it when you are taken to your room so you should pay attention as otherwise you might be frustrated.) The art on the walls in the hallways is from one of the owners’ fathers and it’s really quite good. There is great internet access and a spa/hot tub that I did not use. I think there are only 15 rooms or so and therefore it would be wise to make reservations ahead of time. The common areas are interesting. There is a long common area the length of the hotel with couches and comfort chairs to while away the time if you want, or have a drink or three in the evening. The dining room is in an area with windows on two sides. There is also a beautiful sawed off piano on the floor – a piano that the owners owned but couldn’t really part with once they bought the hotel as it would have cost a fortune to have it refinished and tuned. It’s certainly a talking point in the reception area. Our dinner was very good. I was on a tour with 13 other people and the food was delicious. Wine also was quite good. The luxuriousness of the hotel, the friendliness of the owners, and the quietude make for a very enjoyable stay.
Just got back from 2 nights at the 360 Hotel. Owners were warm and welcoming, dinner was outstanding and the hotel / location amazing. We did not want to leave and would very highly recommend this location as a great home base for exploring the South Coast and Golden Circle
