Novotel Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

Its location is fantastic if you are flying in and out of CDG Airport. I landed at Terminal 2 followed the signs to airport hotels - approx 10 minute walk. Hopped on the train - 2 stops later I was at Roissypole where the hotel was located. Followed the signs and the hotel entrance was right there. no need to catch a taxi - save your money and follow the very easy signs. Staff were friendly, room was clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend it if you have to stay at a hotel close to the airport.

The Novotel is easy to get to from the airport. However, it is very tired and in desperate need of renovation. The $21 breakfast was not much better than what one gets included in the standard room rate at a Hampton Inn.

OK for an overnight stay. On airport grounds so very convenient. No airconditioning that we could make work, bare ammenities, clean, adaptors wouldn't work, staff very nice, helpful and polite. Make sure you get on the right shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel as there are several and make sure you know the terminal you need to get back to the airport. Rooms are very similar to a Hotel 6 in USA. Nothing fancy, serves the purpose. Also there are many Novotels, make sure you know which one. Would not recommend this hotel for a lengthy stay in Paris, depending on price.

This is my second stay at Novotel CDG. It's not extra-fancy, but my room was nicely decorated (the bathroom was especially chic) and larger than most hotel rooms in Paris. Soooo convenient to the TGV station, the RER to Paris, and of course the airport. A great option to save time for a morning flight. Room service dinner was excellent, "city breakfast" package was meager and overpriced. Overall an excellent stay.

It is an airport hotel. Good enough for the price and location is convenient if you are catching a flight next day.

very good hotel located close to CDG via free shuttle hotel staff was courteous and helpful gave us the number of beds we requested

And what it is is an airport hotel. Convenient, excellent soundproofing and spartan. Great toiletries, decent desk and lighting and lots of room. The room itself could use a touch-up, but the bathroom and toilet are new and excellent. One elevator malfunctioned with me in it, but that can happen anywhere. Initial roomkey malfunction -- for several guests checking in at the same time -- was soon resolved. But perhaps that should not happen at all. Overall, very satisfied and would stay again for a layover, but would probably use one of the off site places in Roissy en France if I had more time to spend between flights/appointments. Still, recommended, for what it is. And smoking rooms are available -- a rarity these days -- for those who want them. Staff were very friendly, efficient and welcoming.

It was very close to the RER B line into Paris and to Terminal 3 for our departure. Two out of three staff at the front we spoke to were rather rude but we did discover things out on our own as the wifi was great. The toilet room floor was dirty when we first entered the room. I had a great sleep until 7am when the maids began slamming the doors on the floor above us. My husband went down to find out what the noise was all about but nothing changed. We mentioned it as checking out but he said nothing and proceeded with the check out and the charge of the French local tax. He also asked if we had breakfast.. would have been lovely to be offered breakfast but we had not eaten there and certainly didn't want to pay for the meal. We did find a free shuttle as you exit the train station behind the hotel. It took us to a great mall, Aeroville. It was close, great shops and about a dozen restaurants to eat at. Worth a look if you have time to pass. There was a large grocery store as well. I would stay again because of the close proximity to the airport but I would definitely ask for the top floor. I understand the maids have to work, but they don't need to put the latch on the door so when the room doors close they slam and clunk.

We stayed here due to the location. It was easy due to the fact that we could return our rental car, take the hotel shuttle back to the hotel and then take the RER into Paris for one last look. The room was very clean, staff was nice but the bed was a little hard. All in all, it was great.

Stayed here after driving from Mont St Michel for our next day flight. Good hotel to stay in if you need to be in CDG early. Train is available inside to take you to your terminal. Highly recommended.

Very loud, the bedside tables were filthy! Not worth the $ spent.

This hotel is very overpriced. Rooms are very worn and outdated. It smelled old. Looks like it hadn't been refreshed (new carpet, shower and floor tile, etc) in about 20 years. However, it is very convenient for a 1 day layover in Paris with easy access to train for a quick trip to Paris to see sights. I guess that is all that you are paying for, convenience. They should still update the rooms. For me, it was gross. Will not stay here again.

This hotel is right next to the train terminal at the airport. This was a big plus. I don't know that I would stay here again. The room was very small and the shower drain backed up and would get close to over flowing. The Staff was very kind and professional for the most part other than the fact that they didn't seem to care that the drain was plugged up.

This hotel is comfortable and convenient for flying in and out of the airport. I was only there for a 12 hour layover but it had everything I needed. The food in the restaurant was good (service a bit slow). One thing was it was very difficult to find. This is probably not the hotel's fault but the airport. I travel a lot and it is the most confusing airport I've ever been in. And there is no signage for this hotel anywhere.

Very easy to find, relaxing and peaceful, good food!

The first thing that greeted us on the entrance is the distinct smell of sewer followed by no too helpful staff. The rooms held out the sound of nearby airplanes (as best as can be), however the sound of slamming doors and your guests a few rooms down made it difficult for the little ones to sleep. Out of the two elevators that serve six floors, one was out and the incredibly small size of the elevators made for long waits. The restaurant is incredibly expensive, especially for such mediocre food (this is Paris). One nice thing, was a small area for kids to play/read books. By no means an extensive collection of toys, it is nice that there is a dedicated space.

This hotel suits the American taste for a short CDG layover at a reasonable price.

After having waited forever for hotel shuttles that supposedly pass by every 20mn, I love the convenience of hotels located in terminals. The Novotel is the best deal for me. I've tried the Ibis which was cheap but hellishly stuffy in July, and the wonderful Sheraton (but do you want to spend all that money for 7 hours of sleep?). Novotel offers a good compromise of convenience, comfort, at a more reasonable price. The restaurant is decent, quality of staff service can vary, in room amenities are good, and bedrooms are quiet.

I chose this hotel because we had a 7am flight out of CDG airport, and I really didn't want to navigate our way out of Paris at 4am with barely passable french speaking skills after a long vacation. We ended up taking a cab out to the hotel from the left bank, since it was an exceptionally hot day and we had spent all afternoon outside in it, rather than taking the Metro and RER. I was a bit resigned after reading some of the previous reviews, too. But after 3 weeks of European hotel rooms, I wasn't worried that it was going to be uninhabitable. The front desk employees were helpful as we checked in, and gave us verbal directions to the airport train shuttle area. When we got to our room, it was larger than we expected. There were signs that the room had been recently renovated. We had a superior double room, and it was larger than most of the double rooms of our trip. One thing puzzled us until we figured it out. The room lights would not work until we put a room key in a receptacle that was above the 1st light switch by the entrance door. Even though the hotel is located between 2 airport terminals, the room was quiet enough to sleep. The hotel has free wifi. As we found out later it has a boxed breakfast that is available, in addition to its breakfast buffet, though neither is included in the price of the room. We would definitely stay there again on another trip to Paris.

best place beside airport. Basic but fits the need
