Very well placed hotel for a city break with excellent leisure facilities in the lower ground floor. Lovely breakfast and genuinely nice staff. Very comfortable room. Beautiful building dating back many centuries and cleverly modernised without losing memories of its history.

Love the location in the old town walking to the cathedral the old clock the market and plenty of nice stores We ate at the hotel but the next morning I discover nice restaurants near the hotel This hotel is TOP but expensive also very pretty

Lovely hotel in a great location . We were with disabled friends and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, with good spoken English.. Breakfast was good but worth sampling the excellent local restaurants for dinner. not cheap, but you get what you pay for

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Hotel beautifully repurposed from 17th Century castle like building, rooms superb, and breakfast outstanding. A joy to stay here and Bozidar Janackovic at the front desk speaks beautiful English and knows everything about the hotel and the city. He is wonderful with every guest and very knowledgeable .

Stayed in late October, 2017. Can't beat the location in the historic center of Rouen. Five minute walk to the Gros Horlage, etc. Beautiful historic building. It has a very modern bar and lobby area that is nice, but doesn't seem to fit the exterior of the building. You can look through the transparent floor and see people swimming in the pool for instance. Great service. Room was nice as well - good bed and bedding. TV on an acrylic stand in the middle of the room was odd, and again, didn't seem to fit. And I'll never understand not having some sort of shower door or shower wall in the bathroom. Water all over the floor and vanity. No way to avoid it. Only other complaint was road construction immediately below our window that started at 7 am. Not the hotels fault obviously, but knocks the sleep quality score down a bit.

We very much enjoyed our short stay at the Hotel de Bourgtheroulde. Our room was clean, a nice size and had a beautiful bath. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast is served buffet style with a wide variety of items. The location is perfect, a short walk to just about anywhere including the train station. Truly didn't want to leave, it was such a nice, comfortable hotel.

We stayed one night, it was ok. The old building is stunning from the outside, but what a disappointment when you come in. Very modern design, aggressive red and black colors, it’s too big of a contrast with the beautiful secular stones. And on top of that, the furniture in the lobby and in the rooms is quite cheap, the decoration lacks harmony, zero charm whatsoever... Service was ok, but not worthy of a 5 stars establishment. No coffee / tea in the room The breakfast buffet was also rather average but food was decent. However, It’s a shame it closes at 10:30, even on weekends. And they do clean everything up at 10:30 sharp!

An exceptionally beautiful hotel in a superb location. From the valet parking, the walk through the exquisite courtyard and the automatic doors inviting you in - this is a signature worth a visit. You are right in the centre of Rouen surrounded by its historical heritage, beautiful shops, fabulous buildings and top notch restaurants and cafes. The hotels’ own restaurant is good value for money, the food good and the ambience wonderful. There is a communal bar area which boasts dramatic opulence with a quirk of artistic flair all set above the hotels pool which can be seen through glass tiles on the floor as you walk in. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean and staff are friendly, efficient and multilingual. An absolute treat to have spent two days there. I highly recommend a visit ..

My husband took me to Rouen last weekend to celebrate our birthdays, staying 2 nights at Hotel de Bourgtheroulde. It was just beautiful. The outside looks like a castle, the bar a beautiful, warm glowing red showcasing art and looking down through the glass floor to the pool below. Service was excellent and the rooms large, comfy and immaculate. The only negative thing I would say is ladies take your own hairdryers as the ones in the hotel are next to useless

We spent 3 nights here last week (Oct 25-28) and had an amazing time! Rouen is a very cute city and this hotel is perfectly located in the old town surrounded by a cute market and several great restaurants. Other than the great architecture the staff here made the visit special as they were extremely friendly and seemed to genuinely want to make our stay as perfect as possible. Rouen is a very walkable city and this hotel is about a 10 min walk from the train station. We loved the city and would definitely stay at this hotel again when we return in the future. The only place I think they could improve upon is that I found the breakfast lacking. Again, the staff were fantastic but the food was just average. We are Marriott Platinum so it was included in our costs but if it weren't I would find some other place for breakfast. We didn't eat any other meals there so I can't comment on lunch or dinner.
