Out of the four receptionists only one showed any trace of customer service skillsets. For some reason they were all openly rude and uncooperative. Heat wouldn't turn off in first room and outlets did not work. For the price I had expected better from the workers and facilities.

I was not satisfied staying here. The cleanliness of the hotel made me decide to stay elsewhere.

Awesome location and very helpful staff. Building is a bit older and lacks the modern technology most have come to expect.

Disgusting!!! Do not waste your money by trying to stay here! Needs to be burned down! We ended up leaving after five minutes and staying at a different hotel. Yuck!!!!

The property is so old and out of date, i wanted my money back, Elevator broke down had to walk 9 flights of stairs. The hotel should be condemned. Should not be in operation at all!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Seattle. The location was great! Walkable distance to the library, to Pike Place, and to several coffee shops and restaurants. If you were up for the trek it was about a 25-30 minute walk to the Space Needle which isn’t too bad. The building had a lot of character and we would definitely stay there again. Please review the building’s “character” below: The elevator was most entertaining. We stayed on the 11th floor and you had to push the “Up” button to summon the elevator even though you were going down. WiFi was only available in the lobby, so we ended up hotspotting from my partner’s phone to watch The Bachelorette on our tablet. The water was another adventure entirely. When taking a shower it would jump from decently warm, to scalding hot, to ice cold.

I appreciated the staffs kindness and flexibility.

The room looked like a flophouse from the 1930's depression era. The carpets were dirty, the bedding was hideous (top cover was too small for the bed. I booked a queen bed and got a double bed. The TV was local antennae tv only and in downtown Seattle, the reception was grainy and intermittent. They advertise wi-fi but it is ONLY available in the lobby of the hotel. The bathroom had no toilet paper holder so the roll of paper was on the floor when I checked in. The curtains were filthy, there was mold growing in the shower and the steam heat radiator, circa 1855, didn't work to heat the room. The restaurant at the hotel only served breakfast and early lunch. They have old timey ACTUAL keys to the rooms instead of plastic cards. Fine, but they charge a $25 deposit for the room key in case you don't return it. Stone age stuff here.

Great location in the city. Close to the waterfront and market. Not the cleanest or current hotel. For the price and location and a plave to sleep, good deal.

Nice people and great location. The radiator made noise all night and kept me from getting a good night sleep. The sheets on the bed were old and worn. The shower did not get hot two of the three days and did not drain. For the price I understand but I wish I would have been able to sleep better and take a hot shower.

Bed bugs sirens the half broken elevator noise keeps you up the guy with the gray hair and mustache was unfriendly they didn't want to or couldn't have me exchange rooms complete mess

Workers very very nice. Get what you pay for. Everything else is good as far as location.

No AC in our room, cable TV was more like antennae TV, Wi-Fi only in lobby.

Worse hotel. No ice machine, no A.C. the room was like a box, tv barely worked

Wallpaper coming off walls, smelly, Poor beds, stains everywhere, no TV channels (reminders asking owners to pay their bill)...overall somewhat creepy hotel

I'm 64 years old, and this is by far the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The carpet is filthy and stained. I wouldn't walk on it in bare feet. The toilet paper holder is falling out of the wall. Ceiling has water stains. I could see through a hole in my bathroom ceiling. 9th floor, and the windows open fully with no security bars or screens. Good location but a truly dreadful hotel

No hot water in shower. Heat only on during morning and day time it’s cold all night and no staff to bring you blankets. No free WiFi in rooms as advertised You can get some in lobby but there are 4 chairs and 3 are broken and it’s freezzing in lobby. No microwave or fridge in room as advertised or in any common area at all. Tv broken and can’t even watch news station. Old and dirty rugs, tub, walls, doors, floors and furniture. The ceilings and walls are falling in and wallpaper missing/peeling. Many large open holes in walls and mold. Front desk guys staff/supervisor makes excuses when reporting issues. Tell you they never heard of your issue before- nonsense we found 2 staff members that clearly said this is ongoing issues that management don’t want to fix. Avoid this place. What a nightmare. Wish they let me upload more photos. I have plenty to share of the filth

Temperature control consists of radiator fed by boiler in the basement, like they did it at the turn of the last century. Single pane windows mean sirens sound like they are in the room. Mattresses feel like a sheet of cardboard on a jello mold. Very worn, stained carpet and peeling wall paper everywhere. You're getting a great deal for the location but the amenities are a let down at every turn.
