The room is as spacious and comfortable. Beautiful view of Fenway Park out our 5 th floor room. People working there were very helpful and friendly.
My husband and I were so excited to stay at this hotel, but we were not impressed. Staff was really nice and hotel was super close to Fenway park but other than that we didn’t feel like the amenities were great or there was anything special. We also thought there was a rooftop lounge with a view of Fenway park, but that was an event space so that was a fail for us. Feel like there were probably better options out there.
Beds were comfortable, staff was warm and welcoming, location was great (short walk to Fenway), room was clean, bath products were lovely, the jersey robe was fun. Loved our short stay here, wish it could have been longer.

As a New Yorker the baseball stadium nearby isn’t an attraction 😀 but came here first time to speak at a technology event. Great customer service from moment I arrived & checked in, through room service, and dinner quality at the event in the venue downstairs.
My stay was only for 1 night so I really didn’t get to take advantage of a lot of things during this stay. I received an email with upgrade options. The one that I took advantage of was early check in at 10am. I called the hotel to confirm my early check in and was told it wasn’t approved. I asked if I could drop off my luggage so I wouldn’t have to carry it all over town until check at 4 (that check in seems late). They told me my luggage could be held. On my way to drop off my rental I stopped at the hotel at 11:30am to drop off my luggage and surprise they had a room ready for me to check in. Very friendly front desk staff, when checking in they off you snack from their snack basket. The room was a nice size, bigger than some other Boston hotels I’ve stay at. Very clean, 2 closets one with a safe. The bathroom was also nice & big. The lotion, shampoo & conditioner were bigger than little sample sizes. I walked around during dinner time to find a place to eat but really didn’t find anything great. It was a little chilly so maybe I should have put more effort into looking. I went back to room and order room service. I wish the menu had more to choose from. I ordered the chicken tenders and they came pretty fast. They were great, the best I’ve ever had. They were big & thick and not a lot of batter on them which was great because it was all chicken. They were so good & filling I barely ate any of fries. I would stay there again just to order those chicken tenders.
We stayed here for a college reunion and it was perfect. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The front desk was very helpful. The only thing missing is the lack of an onsite breakfast spot.
My new Go To hotel in Boston!
We were in Boston for a special Birthday trip. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. We will visit again!
Beautiful hotel great service
The Hotel Commonwealth is just a wonderful hotel. It has long been a great choice for baseball fans as it is only 200 yards away from Fenway Park, in busy and fun Kenmore Square. The restaurant on site is now closed and that is unfortunate but something will take its place soon, i hope. However, there are multiple choices nearby, many in close walking distance. The service and rooms are impeccable, and it is a great experience every time.
