Everything was excellent - location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, the room, the swimming pool, etc. Nothing to complain about. Next time in Berlin I will stay in the same hotel.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. The room was nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room setup was a bit weird - the closet was in the bathroom - but since I was by myself it didn't matter much. The shower/bathtub combination was the best feature. I didn't want the shower to end :) The only thing that soured the experience a bit was the fact that the bedside lamp did not work. I reported it the first night I checked in and was told it will be fixed the next day which was fine. When I came back the next evening it was not fixed. I called again and was told it will be fixed the next day. The guy came the next morning while I was in the room and since the door was locked, he left again. Turns out he didn't think to come back later since when I came back that evening, the lamp was still not fixed. Day 3. I called again and was told it will be fixed. I came back that evening and there was a card saying it can't be fixed. What? So it can't be replaced either? I went down to reception the next day and asked about it and I was offered to move a room which was too much of a hassle so they told me they'll handle it. I came back that evening and finally the bedside lamp was working. Interestingly enough the next day it stopped working again at which point I was simply to discouraged to try again. I checked out the next morning. Not sure why it was so hard to fix or replace a bedside lamp. I was not offered any compensation for the inconvenience.
