Stayed here precisely one year after my last visit to Leipzig and again the service was just perfect. The location is great - is cannot get more central in Leipzig. The premises are not breathtaking and rooms might deserve a design overhaul in 2-3 years. Yet, the room (to the back) has been extremely quiet and sleep was great. AND - the crew is just outstanding. Always friendly, nothing is a problem for them and everything is being taken care of immediately. As an example I called for someone to make the window fully openable and that person arrived within three minutes. Breakfast is great too with the very attentive lady preparing egg dishes (omelette & co) on order. Highly recommendable!
The location of this hotel is perfect, staff is very nice and rooms spacious. Nice pool area too. Marriott as usual is symbol of quality and high standards. It is also very close to the station and main tram hub. Very clean. Stayed in June for the WGT festival and if I will attend the festival again next year will choose to stay in this hotel.
We stay here when we have layovers in Leipzig. Besides this hotel is in the middle of city center, the hotel team is very friendly, breakfast is so delicious and rooms are quiet and clean. I strongly recommend this hotel.
This hotel is a bit tricky if you're driving as it sits on a dead-end street, but once you get that sorted, the rest is easy. It's just across the street from the train station and a short walk to the Market and tons of restaurants. The Hop-on Hop-off bus is just around the corner. We worshiped at St Nicholas, also a short walk away. Beautiful service! The executive lounge here is amazing - if you're not up for going out to dinner, the evening offerings make an ample meal.
This stop was in the middle of an organized tour of Germany I recently took with my family. The location was perfect, tucked away between the train station and the old section of town, yet our room was very quiet. The lobby has an open and bright reading area next to a small bar. I am noting this hotel in this gorgeous city due to the customer service, particularly at the front desk, which was just exceptional - professional, efficient, accurate (assistance with directions for example). It is probably expensive but since it was included in the trip, I did not have to attend to the room cost, I just really enjoyed my stay here and would love to stay here again and also visit Leipzig again.
We have stayed at lots of hotels during our recent European tour, but this is my favorite for many reasons. The amenities are the best: a wash cloth--really it means a lot to Americans--shampoo AND conditioner, soft Kleenex brand tissues, even cotton balls and cotton swabs. The electrical outlets were numerous--enough for all of our charging needs. The security of needing your key to use the elevators gives you a safe feeling in the downtown area. Great location for tourist activities nearby!
Book and even numbered room (they are at the back) to be quiet. Very good breakfasts and interesting cooking at dinner. Comfy well-appointed bedrooms. The Champions Bar at the back of the ground floor has about 15 large TV screens which show sporting events - the bar can get crowded and noisy during big events. Large shopping Mall just opposite
We arrived via train in early afternoon and while we were extremely tired, we decided to walk to the hotel as it was only one block away from the main train station. Even with all our luggage, we made it to the hotel in five minutes....cannot beat the location especially when arriving by train. We stayed here for two nights as we were in town strictly to visit the Christmas market. The staff was friendly and helpful especially in assisting us in finding a pharmacy as we were coming down with the flu. The room was good size and very clean and we were very pleased. The hotel was located less than a kilometer from the main old town square and the Christmas market so location for us was perfect. We definitely would sty here again when we are in Leipzig.
Close to city centre and to shopping areas this hotel is s bit old fashioned and not extravagantly glamorous but has nicely appointed rooms with excellent beds and pillows and correct amenities including coffee/tea making facilities in room. The morning breakfast is of quite high quality with plenty of fresh fruits and an egg station as well as good choice of cheeses and cold cuts. Thus hotel is quite Convenient at a reasonable cost
Here again.....after my last visit a few months ago. Beds and breakfast still as awesome, can't miss it. However, the fitness room equipment need to be updated. Of the 3 treadmills there, only 1 worked....and it's pre-programmed to stop after 10 minutes. Pretty disruptive if you're trying to do a longer run. Power outlets are the euro styled ones, and one better have the correct adapter. They have the sunken type outlet, so even if you have the 2 rounded pronged adapter, it has to be cylindrical in order to fit into the sunken outlet. Savvy travellers beware......I carry a mixed bag of adapters since I go to many different countries, and yet I still have had to ask the front desk for a local adapter. Other than that, was a very pleasant stay here. As mentioned above, the breakfast was great....wonderful selection of breads.
