First of all let me say the staff was excellent and very friendly. The hotel is old and you can tell by the way it smells and needs many repairs. The room needs a major renovation. Thought it was expensive for the condition it was in.

I walked into the hotel and it smelled very musty. It almost made me sick. The walls were sealed up where you can tell there were holes and the floor was very dirty. The microwave was broken and the AC worked but you had to stand by it just to feel it. I would rather pay the extra $20 to stay at nicer hotel.

Although I am American and so am not accustomed to bargaining, I tried to see if they could honor our previous room price (~$45/night) for our second night, at which the rate had increased to $55/night. The management preferred to give up our business than accept this slightly lower price, so we moved to another hotel. Had there been many people lined up vying for our room, I could understand, but the place was totally empty. It seems to me that they would rather have someone pay $45/night than no one stay there, but I guess I was wrong!

A decent distance from downtown. A little dated and a bit dingy, but the rooms themselves are clean, comfortable, and adequate to a single night stay. Decent value.

Staffe were very friendly and helpful....loved the free breakfast, close to tybee and restaurants

We rented 2 rooms because there were 2 families going, our key didn't work half the time and they had to keep resetting our door. Our friends room their key and someone elses worked just fine, while they were sleeping 3 hispanic guys came into the room, they were given the wrong key at the desk because the clerk didn't mark the room as occupied. There were several drunk in the pool area and the police were called! If you like drama and drunks this is the place for you, If not stay away

Overall it was a good experience. The staff was really nice and accomodating. We had to change rooms when we got there because we got a smoking room but it took like 5 minutes so no problem. Comfortable beds and it was just a quick overnight stay.

My friends and I went to Savannah for St. Pat's. We wanted a hotel that was cheap, which it was, so I guess we shouldn't have expected much. However, this hotel was not in great shape. The front door was difficult to shut. Out of the 4 electrical outlets in the sleeping area, only 1 worked/was accessible. The sink was stopped up and took forever to drain. Also, the bathroom was very small, the door almost touched the toilet so it was very tough to get in and out. The bathroom floor looked grimy and was almost purely calked around the edges. I would not stay there ever again. Regardless of our reasoning for our stay in Port Wentworth.

You get what you pay for

The hotel staff was nice and friendly. I am not sure if it was because they were too busy or maybe under staffed...however there were roaches in the light fixtures and the bathroom was not clean, the shower curtain was nasty. However, the bedroom it self was dust free and the carpet had been vacuumed. No evidence of bedbugs and believe me I CHECKED But, for the PRICE it was what I expected. Nothing MORE and nothing less. I would say for a couple it was ok...but not good idea for small children. It was in excellent proximity to gas stations, and restaurants and mins from the beach. The staff was nice, the pool was closed and the washer and dryer was broken...

We wanted an economical, one-night lay-over for our visit to Savannah. We couldn't have chosen better.

I enjoyed my stay tremendously! The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. I didn't bring my dog this time but I will when I come back because I found out they are pet-friendly as well.

The rooms were not clean when we got there. We found a beer can that had some in it. I have a toddler that was there. This would not have been good. This showed that the housekeeper did not clean. There was cocaroches dead and alive on the walls. The bed mattress didn't fit onto the bottom one .It hung over it. Sheets were too big and kept comming off. Ice machine didn't work. Tv remote didn't work.Thay had several 18 wheelers parked in front so it was hard to pull in. Owner was rude. The door knobs were not on very well and the door that joined the two rooms was missing a lock.

I guess you get what you pay for. I arrived at the motel a short time after midnight. The clerk was not teribly friendly. After getting to sleep around 1am the smoke alarm starting chirping sometime between 5am and 5:30am. I called the front desk at about 5:30am and explained the problem. The clerk informed me rather rudely that she could not come down to the room and told me to take it off the wall. I managed to get it off the wall and remove the battery but it kept chirping for a while so I put a pillow on it. By 6:15am, unable to go back to sleep, I got up and got ready to leave. When I checked out I told the clerk on duty that I had removed the smoke detector from the wall as instructed and that it was on the desk in the room. The clerk wrote something down but made no attempt to apologize for the inconvenience.

Great place to stay. Will come again.
