The hotel is exactly what we asked for. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. My only issue is that they ran out of parking spaces and I had to park along the back of the building. It wasn't that big of a deal, but it was kind of annoying.

At check-in, Kathy, working the front desk waited until she had finished filing her paperwork and tidied up the desk before assisting me, 4 minutes without so much as a "be right with you." Shower curtain needs attention as the bathroom floor floods every time you shower. Room otherwise ok, went with low expectations as it is pet friendly without any fees. Seems to be a rough side of town, did not feel safe walking my dog around after sundown. Checkout was slow, went to desk at 8:30 and waited longer than 5 minutes without seeing staff but could hear them in back office. Returned at 9 and took 15 minutes after waiting for same staff member to wander back to the desk. Like I said, went in with low expectations and got about what was expected. Would not stay again, will pay dearly to stay at a nice facility next time.

The hotel staff was nice and helpful. I enjoyed the quiet stay and the ammenities were nice. The one thing i didnt like was the cleanliness of the shower. I dont think theycleaned it the entire time I was there. With that being said i would definately stay again.

We arrived for check in and our room wasn't ready. We were told to wait 15 mins and the cleaning crew would wrap things up for our King room. My husband and I decided to wait in the vehicle in the parking lot since we had just driven from Charlotte, NC. Well, after the 15 mins we went back inside and tried to check in only to have a different person at the front desk tell that our smoking room ( we don't smoke# wasn't ready. I spoke with the manager #very nice guy# who said he could have the room ready in 30 minutes # not the original 15 mins) and that it would be non smoking. He offered to take my cell number and call me when the room was ready. Well...he did just that. We decided while we waited to tour the city and kill some time. The manager HIMSELF called me and told me the room was ready to go. Besides the hassle of the check -in our stay was OK.

Last minute thing but great location real close to the down town area

The room was clean & the staff was great. Upon arrival was given a room farther from smoking rooms & staff was very informative & helpful about the city & events.

There are 2 hotels from this company and one offers a free tour around Savannah and a discount with Denny's next door. The hotel next to Denny's is closer then the one we stayed at. But over all the one we chose was alright. It had three floors and we were on the third with the smokers. Now we chose a room with smoking option but the minute you walk out of the elevator all you smell is smoke. This hotel also doesn't have any balconies. The pool isn't all that great. The breakfast area is small and had a small selection. But I have to say the bed we had was a pillow top mattress and felt awesome. The hair dryer was broke, and the room coffee was gross. The room was very clean, and the hotel staff were very friendly. So we basically got what we paid for.

We had a good stay. The room was average clean. the bathroom shower curtain was sour smelling. Bed was fair but not overly comfortable. Both nights, neighbors came in 315am, woke the dogs who started barking and then after they got stirred up, they wanted to go out to bathroom (not hotel fault!). Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially desk clerks. Location was convenient to lots of things.

Definitely I will recommend this location because the staff attention is great and the room are good cleaned.

The beds put us to sleep like babies and the location is right on the local FREE shuttle line downtown ... though the stop next to the hotel isn't one where they're supposed to open the door. They did let us off kindly on the way home. Odd that ALL stops on a trolley bus line aren't OK for ALL users. There are about SIX fast food places about two blocks away ... so dinner was easy to find and good to eat!

The staff was fantastic! They were the friendliest bunch ever! Very helpful. My new "go to" hotel in Savannah

Impressed with employees, always willing to help you immediately with a smile on their face.

Room was VERY noisy - could hear all the traffic noise on Abercorn plus guests overhead and in halls, etc. I would ask for a room facing the back of the property - might be better. However, we were exhausted after a long travel day and could have slept through an explosion. Everything looked somewhat worn - but clean enough. Savannah was basically sold out and we've been there before so weren't going for the vacation experience. Just a stopover. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn't try the breakfast. Internet was fine and free. Price was appropriate for what we received. Not recommending because most people come to Savannah for a different experience. Nothing really in walking distance from this hotel and there are better options in midtown and the noise was really bad. Nothing the hotel can do about the sirens on Abercorn and as mentioned, staff was very nice - we were too tired to bother with moving but I feel they would have tried to accommodate us and it might have been worth the effort.

Booked my hotel for my last night in Savannah, GA before starting my cross country move to Vegas. It was comfortable, clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and understanding of my yappy dog & his separation anxiety. lol Great place for an overnighter before a long trip!

I was blown away by the wonderful staff at La Quinta Inn & Suites Southside. Stephen & staff went out of their way to provide a great experience for my stay. They helped me find directions, kept my rooms clean, and gave me ideas on where to go and eat while there. I cant say how wonderful they made my stay during a very difficult time. I thank them for their great Service!

Nice base for visiting Savannah and Tybee Island. The hotel had a microwave in the room which was excellent. The room refrigerator was excellently working. The hotel carpet needs a real cleaning and no room safe. Also the AC was working well and not that noisy (It was in the heat of July ... high 90's)

Hotel was clean, good customer service. Really liked the beddings

The check in was great! The staff was knowledgable. Our AC was not working properly but the staff came right away and assisted us. My children loved the room and the comfy bed and pillows. The breakfast was great. The morning staff was just wonderful. The lady kept the breakfast area very tidy and she was very nice. The staff all smiled and said hello when they passed you. It was GREAT! My daughter will be attending Savannah State; I know where I will stay when my family and I come to visit her. Way to Go LaQuinta!

We were traveling with our 2 medium size dogs and the hotel had no problem allowing them to stay. The hotel is located a few miles from the historic district but easily accessible.

The room was very nice and clean which is what I'm mainly concerned with when staying at a hotel. The only thing that was lacking was the continental breakfast which was a little meager when compared to other continental breakfasts. But overall, a pleasant experience.
