It's ok nothing special , we only stayed one night. Not worth to pay $256 for the room . Stated "Breakfast included" if you are ok with packed baked goods , fruit and coffee or juice you may like it . All carbs!

The DeSoto Beach Hotel is an older hotel, so I was worried a bit until we were there. The grounds are kept well, the rooms are very clean and most importantly, comfortable, Our grandchildren loved the pool. The beach was great, too. My family and I enjoyed very much the short stay 3 days and 2 nights. We plan to return.
It was a little worn but overall was a nice little place with great staff and the proximity to the beach was amazing. Made for a wonderful weekend trip. Continental breakfast was a bonus.
Shower didn't drain, there was black dirt/mold in the corners of the shower, we had to move rooms, and the internet password changed mid-stay and we weren't informed. Our "Ocean View" wasn't, the walls were thin and the hotel was well away from the island amenities.

We offer a continental breakfast. It includes fresh pastries and bagels, not packaged. It is true that it is primarily carbs, as is custom with the baked goods offered in a continental breakfast.
