The hotel is ok for a place to just sleep after a long day
I was in town one night for a conference at the nearby convention center the next morning. The hotel is easy to find and there are lots of dining options a short drive away. Check in was easy and the staff very friendly. The room I was given by the front desk clerk, unbeknownst to her, had a broken toilet from the previous tenant of the room and the manager was in the process of fixing. I told him that it wasn't a big deal and that I'd rather know about it up front and know it's getting fixed, than to find out myself the hard way. The furniture (bed and sofa) are comfortable and the refrigerator was good and cold. The only drawback, which I brought to the staff's attention when I checked out, was that I woke up with several bug bites. These were NOT caused by bed bugs, but rather tiny red ants that had gotten in during the toilet being fixed from the constant in and out of the open front door. It's Florida and these little red ants are everywhere so it's not uncommon for them to hitch a ride on your clothing. Overall, this hotel was a nice stay and I would definitely recommend it to others.
This was the worst experience ever.. told one thing charged something different. No sleep for the weary. Major activities after dark. Would never recommend this hotel... I booked it with no cancellation or refunds so spent the whole holiday feeling trapped.. worst experience I have ever had!!
This was a nice surprise, I was not expecting much. I just wanted a clean room for a week while in town for training. The room was very clean and pack with amenities. I would most certainly stay here again.
Exceptional service, owners are so nice. great location great service
Check in the woman tried to make us pay extra for a cot in a king size room. Room not ready so came back and the nice gentleman said we reserved a room with two double (which we did) and that we did not need a cot and didn't know why she was trying to put us in a king and pay extra for a cot. He was very nice. Woke up 2 days before check out and seen SIX cockroaches coming out behind the headboards and mirror. Grabbed our stuff and went to front desk. Of course we got the rude lady again and couldn't get our money back for those two nights and wanted to put us in another room. Knew we weren't getting the best but not going to pay for roaches.
Very clean, friendly staff, over all great place. Compared to the other places around this area, this was by far the best.
The hotel was AAA approved so I felt comfortable booking there. It was spotless and fresh. The room had desk small refrigerator and microwave. Busy street but quiet inside. Great value. Washer and dry on premise with a nice pool. Cleaning staff really on the ball... fresh sheets pillows... I would stay here again. ( note: Not a resort type of hotel.... I went to beach by car.)
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw our room. Compared to some of the other rooms close to this Super 8, Wow! The room was absolutely beautiful, clean, and friendly staff. Thanks.
Came in for a wedding on Anna Maria and didn't want to drop $$$ on island accommodations so I found this Super 8. I only need a roof and a bed but I still want it to be clean, organized, and well attended to. The staff was friendly, the beds were extremely comfortable (I guess they were just upgraded in all rooms as of this review), and there was even a mini fridge and kitchenette. The only slight downside was the 20-25 minutes to the island but that's not Super 8's fault. Highly recommended if you're looking for basic but nice accommodations.
Very close to the airport but without the airport noise in the middle of the night. Places to eat were close and beaches were not that far away. I would not hesitate to stay there again. As a single traveler I felt very safe.
Buyer beware!!! Do not stay here, this place is a dump. Woke up Sunday morning to room construction/renovation taking place next door down @ 630am. The Hotel manager who spoke little English could care less about my concern. When I was checking out the police were filling out reports in the lobby about 2 cars being stolen the night before right out of the parking lot. I would of been better off sleeping in a tent in the woods
Stayed four nights for a long weekend/Fishing Trip. Booked two rooms, and they both were clean and exactly what we expected for this price. The road out front is pretty busy during the day, but we were close to Bradenton, Sarasota and Cortez. We're plannning another trip next year and plan to stay here again. BTW there's an excellent mexican restaurant just down the street. I thought it was kind of weird that nobody at the front desk knew of a decent restaurant when we asked. That's why I'm only scoring the staff as "average". They could have been more helpful.
Check in was friendly as were the staff. The motel & room itself was antiquated. Everything is and looks old. The lamps were all covered in cobwebs as if the room had not been really cleaned in a few weeks. Chairs stained. Some long bug strip or strip of tape above bathroom door was crusty with dead bugs and insects. Other than that I saw no bugs in the room. It was a nice size room, mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, ironing board and iron. Price was really great-perfect for those on limited budget or on an extended stay.
Room was clean and large. Nothing special, but ok. Guests were little loud at night. Good value.
All we needed the room for was to get a good night's sleep between Spring Training ballgames. The beds and pillows were way too lumpy for that to happen. The broken curtains didn't help either because the outside lights shone into our eyes all night long. Also, there was no screen in the bathroom window so I'm guessing that is why I saw some strange crawling creatures in the bathtub. I certainly did not appreciate being rushed out of the room a half hour before checkout time either. Lack of sleep made us a little slower than usual getting out of the horrible room but we didn't need a phone call at 10:30, a knock on the door at 10:45 and maids peering in as they walked by to be reminded of checkout time.
the hotel was fine. the pool could have been cleaner and some sun umbrellas would have been nice!!
room airconditioner many cobwebs behind bed musty smell
The room was oversized, clean and had all equipment that we needed. Also the staff was very helpful.
