I have stayed at this hotel in the past and gave it a excellent review. but this time was not good. first off I arrived three hours before check in and could not get in.they made me wait till exactly 3:00 pm.second the room was not clean at all and the whole place was rundown and in need of major renovation.the fire alarm went off two times during the nite and then they came around to every room and asked if all was ok . not good for sleep. I will not stay again or recommend to anyone.
before i even checked into my room I knew i was in for trouble as there was a bunch of furniture outside other rooms indicating a fair number of people were living at the hotel. I walked in and there were white stains on the desk and tv stand and the desk chair was cracked and worn. i was disappointed this hotel was listed at such a high cost compared to the amenities.
Clean hotel, affordable, an not terrible experience
Convenient location for what we wanted to do (Pirate spring training games, beaches, etc.).
Although the water view was very nice, the breakfast was as expected, and the front desk staff was friendly, the toilet did not flush without several attempts, the room entrance door stuck and was difficult to open and close, the coffee maker did not work, and adjoining rooms were noisy. I would recommend the hotel to a friend that would enjoy the water view, making sure I mentioned all of the above items.
The outside of the building looks like it is from the 70s but once inside of the room it looks fine
A great little hotel for a staycation. This was the second time I stayed at the Ramada waterfront hotel. The first time the room was a little musty but still comfortable. This time they asked if I had been there before and I said yes and they gave me a complementary upgrade to a waterfront room upstairs. The room was very clean and the king size bed and pillows are extremely comfortable. The view of the marina is great and the Bearded Clam restaurant and tiki bar is a lot of fun with really good food. And if you want quiet time with your date there is an indoor game room area with pool tables and darts and the service was very good even in there. Very affordably priced it's a great value for a weekend away from the kids or whatever.
Never book with this hotel. The walls are thin, my children heard people in the room next door having relations A LOUD. Gross, the facilities was not clean. Hair in the shower and around the towel. The floors were dirty and gross. The desk was sticky, chairs were dirty and just look gross as if they never had an upholstery cleaning.
Staff was nice and very pleasant, our room was clean, but the exterior and general maintenance was really bad. Okay for the price. Okay place to just sleep and go.
This hotel is not actually in Sarasota, as advertised. Got there and there was hair all over the bathroom. Sketchy people outside drinking and walking around. Definitely more of a motel than hotel. On the second night, once I was more used to it and my expectations had been lowered, I relaxed, but the first night I was up all night scared. I DO NOT recommend.
I paid for my 3 night stay in full online and took nothing but cash on my vacation. At check in the desk informed me that I had to have a deposit put on my card. I explained that I wouldn't have funds available on my card until the following evening. She expressed NO suggestions, a severe lack of customer service and in the course of 10 minutes told me that after driving 14 hours, I could always "Stay somewhere else" and ask orbitz for a refund. I jumped through hoops with no help from her to get a card authorized by my spouse at home to use for the deposit. It wasn't until the owner appeared at the front desk that her demeanor changed and she immediately started to offer suggestions that would make the process much easier. When I explained that her attitude completely changed when he walked up, he was less than concerned with how she had treated his customers. After another hiccup in the process, the owner waived the deposit and allowed us to finally go rest in our room. The room had not even been cleaned! Trash on the floor, one of the most stained mattresses and box springs I'd ever seen, the dirtiest bathroom and almost no lightening to even see in that gloomy room and bathroom. The water came out YELLOW! We had to let the water run until it was clear to wash our face, shower and brush our teeth. & that was in the SECOND room we went into! The last night we were there our door broke and we couldn't lock it before we left. No elevator for second floor bag carrying either.
I had no idea that this hotel had such a great view!
Room was not cleaned, food was left in refridgerator, bath tub had rings around it. When i called front desk they said they couldnt do anything as housekeeping was gone for the day
It's a very dirty facility that should explain it all it was awful.
Just needs up dates. New furniture, carpet and beds.
Bed was comfortable. Bathroom had little bugs running around on the counter that looked like baby gernan cockroaches. That is my only complaint. The breakfast was good and I enjoyed it.
I stayed for 3 nights without any house keeping / fresh towels. There were roaches in the bath room. It took 2 days to get a replacement for the broker hair dryer.
Allowed me to stay an extra night at the same rate
Nothing like the pictures online. Small beds, small rooms lots of noise from plans flying over.
I checked in to this hotel after the first ine i booked turned out to be a dive. this place is great. the bar and food are great and so is the service. room was clean and the staff was awsome.
