The hotel was seedy. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but there was a strong cleaning fluid smell in the room. It looked like it had remodeled the room, but it was not done well. The bath tub had two chips. The room had a sloppy paint job. The breakfast was not good. The eggs were little disks that didn't taste like eggs. The coffee was pretty good. The overall effect was that the entire hotel was probably built in the late 70s or early 90s and it was remodeled in a spotty and incomplete way. I would probably stay there again because I got the room on Orbitz for a low price, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they wanted something with a low price. Early in the afternoon and later in the evening, I heard people yelling outside, and I worried that my rental car could be damaged, but it wasn't. It didn't seem to be in a very good area.

I stayed for one night and everything was fine. Check in experience was great with very kind staff that exceeded my expectations. Good room, very spacious. Good breakfast and great check out.

Nice pool. Very good breakfast. Close to key beach near Sarasota.

First time at this hotel and until significant changes are made we won't be back. First off the pros, Front desk staff very friendly, kind and curtious. Cons, Room was old, mildew smell, unfinished spackle on the walls, ceiling in bathroom Has a hole in ceiling with mildew that was painted over. Hotel cleaning staff didn't clean well, we had hairs in the tub and stains on the toilet when we arrived. We bought our own cleaner and cleaned . The next day we asked hotel staff to please clean our room, when we returned they made the beds but never changed the sheets. The breakfast was fair at best, both days were the same egg patties, mini sausages and sausage and gravy. Both juices were very watery the coffee was good . Very noisy throughout the night. We were in room 133. To be honest, we wanted to complain and get our money back but we were on a package deal with flight and hotel so we just dealt with it.

Excellent breakfast every morning. Fresh towels daily and detail to daily cleaning.

Came to visit granddaughter in Sarasota at her college Ringling Art and Design School. Hotel was close by.

I enjoyed the stay very much for the money and the area. The front desk gentleman who helped was soo great and accommodating. The hotel guests were a little sketchy and the neighborhood wasnt to great but the hotel and staff made it better.

Very pleasant staff, nice, clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast and great location.

This place has the hotel room doors on the outside of the building like a motel. don't stay there if you don't like that type of place. I don't-so it bugged me. The place is run down and not extraordinarily clean. There was a hole on the inside of my door. Also a crack in the tub. The hot water only lasted 5 minutes. The mattress was nice and comfortable. the wifi was actually pretty good. there was a fridge and microwave so that was nice. I tried very hard to ignore that the place was not up to my standards, but then....Went to eat breakfast and it was really gross. I didn't even bother finishing it. Went back to my room and flushed some tp down the toilet after blowing my nose. The toilet squirted water out the sides, and started flooding! At that point, I had had enough. I booked another hotel somewhere else. They refunded me for the remaining nights. I went to go to the restroom in the lobby, and was even more annoyed at the fact that the paint job looked like my 9 yr old did it with the cheapest paint ever. The only thing that even saves this place is the staff. The lady at the front desk was always sweet and nice. house keeping was nice too, and so was the maintenance man.

The hotel itself is very old but the rooms were exceptionally clean. The front manager of the hotel was terrific.

It was good definitely staying again breakfast was delicious.

In town to visit family. Inn reception VERY friendly, housekeeping, maintenance and breakfast room staff very polite and friendly. GREAT pool. WONDERFUL breakfast. WILL definitely stay next trip(s). Close to almost everything in Sarasota. All around enjoyed the stay, Thank you

The photo of this hotel was attractive and modern. Unfortunately once I drove to the back of this motel, I discovered the opposite. The entry to my room was as attractive as the cars and trucks parked right in front of my door and window. The entry light switch didn't work, but even after finding lamps and switches that turned on, the room was too dark. The microwave was the same one I once had from 1984. The refrigerator wasn't working. The toilet directly faced the front window so I had to squeeze my small frame inside the toilet and tub room--there was only a sink in the kitchenette--and be sure the door was shut. The tub had no visible trap, but an open drain with a broken stopper. The bath mat had become partially unglued, with a large glue sheet exposed. There were also several paint or epoxy patches in the tub that added to the unpleasant showering experience. One day I stepped out to a wet towel tri-folded on the shelf. More? The A/C vents were directed to the bed and not moveable as far as I could see. Cups, coffee packets and tea bags were inconsistently replaced. Next time I'll beach more careful in choosing lodging.

I would give hotel a three out of five. For the cost I would give it a five. Breakfast was great. Room was clean, however outlets needed some work as they were loose and hard to keep phone chargers in. Was here visiting my son in the hospital so didn't get to use the pool.

The area the hotel is in is not good, the hotel has family's living there,it needs to be updated we had to go to the office twice for towels, the overall cleanliness of the room was not good I will not stay there again.

Got what I paid for. Room was in haphazard condition. Bathroom was biggest issue. Relatively poor condition although functional. Also found bugs in room.

Had a great time. Looking to relocate there. And I will for sure be coming back to this hotel.

Nice location, right off a main drag. Easy peasy to use a GPS to locate. Right up the road from Siesta Key where I was watching sand volleyball for the weekend. Uber nice seafood restaurant close by.

There are many very good things about this hotel. The location is wonderful for the Ringling Museums (art, circus, and home), the Asolo Theater and the historic Asolo (these are two separate entities), New College, USF Sarasota, and the antique car museum. The breakfast is great!! Waffles, eggs, sausage, all kinds of breads, juices, cereals, and more. The man at the desk, 4PM-midnight, is very friendly and helpful. Although the building is certainly not new, it is well-maintained and there is plenty of parking. I have absolutely no serious problems with Quality Inn, Sarasota, Tamiami Trail.

The hotel is located right by the Sarsota airport, which was convenient. The staff was friendly from when I checked in to when I checked out. The room itself contains the basics: bed, TV, hair dryer, wi-fi, mini-fridge, shower, etc. ; however, I came across 3 bugs on my pillow. Knowing I was only going to stay one night and had a late check-in, I dealt with it.
