TRYP Sao Paulo Paulista Hotel

3.5 out of 5.0

As more or less generic hotels go, this one's better than average, ideal for a short business trip or weekend in the city. Only gripe: The high-speed wifi, at an additional cost, is ridiculously slow. (I pointed that out and was not charged, which is nice--still, if you need high-speed connection, it's better to pay for it and get it.)

This hotel has most of what you will need and missing a bit is a good gym with modern cardio equipment. The location is good in a quiet neighborhood. Staff works perfectly and breakfast is very complete. Bed and room amenities are fine. TV should be a bit easier to manage.

Our room got cancelled without us knowing and was a pain to get them to cover the cost of a new room.. Other than that very nice stay.

We were only there overnight en route to Argentina but would definitely stay there again. Room was comfortable with pillow selection. Very clean. Found it strange that there was no body cream which is very convenient for short stay guests living out of an overnight bag. All other basics were provided from toothbrush to shaving kit. Staff very professional and helpful.

I am retired and I am traveling around the word and this is one of my unpleasant experiences in hotel of this category. Four times of five the room was not done (cleaned) before we returned in the afternoon. They, the management after I had to go to reception to complain send somebody there to clean the room and I was waiting, sweaty and upset for room to be done. At the firs occurrence, I was told by manager that that the rooms are cleaned till 4 p.m. But last time we have returned after 4:40 p.m. and the room wasn't still ready. Manager promised compensation of the one day stay to be removed from my bill, but when I checked out nothing happened and I payed full bill. The room key (cart) works only by accident and every day I had to return to the reception, they fixed it immediately and politely, it was another small thing but annoying. Conclusion is, my stay in the hotel was very frustrating and I would not go to this hotel ever again, and I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and they were quick to switch us to a new room when the fan was loud and squeeky. Great staff, great experience.

The hotel was very nice and in a great area. The staff was wonderful and spoke English well which helped me with getting tips on where to go in San Paulo.

Good value hotel in a great location. Perfect for the business traveler who doesn't feel like overpaying at international brand hotels. Would stay here again.

Comfortable hotel very close to everything you want in the Jardins area. Ask for a room facing the street.

OK on this one I will focus on something that was annoying. I had dinner at the restaurant the first night. They serve good food with mediocre flavor. What is bothering is that I requested the simplest plates ( salad and sandwich) and when the flavors on those are bland, then what can we expect about other plates? Other than that, the location of the hotel is good, as any area not great at wee hours past midnight. During the day it's regular common sense security as any big city. Restaurants, bars and walking area is great around the hotel. Very central which could mean traffic to get to hotel.

Nice and friendly staff.. Great location.

Not there very much. Little service during breakfast.

Was very pleased with the location and the room, but was frustrated by the poor quality of the internet service the hotel uses. As a business traveler, this was particularly unwelcome. There was some 'confusion' upon my arrival whether I had a 'premium' room with high speed internet. But even the 'premium' service was slow and inconvenient.
