Family run, very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Beautiful view from our room, and amazing breakfast delivered to the room every morning you can pick as many options as you want and all is freshly made every morning. Quad hire next door, the hotel is on a hill (as is all of Santorini) so be prepred for a steep walk back ul if you wander into the town. Oia and Thira are around 30-45 mins in a car or taxi, bus goes from the village to both of these and is €2 return, air con coaches with a guide stating where different drops are which is helpful! Highly recommend doing a guided tour of the island and a boat cruise around the caldera! Our room was a corner apartment which was on the top level it has 2 floors with a double bed up and down and a huge balcony. Could really do with a jacuzzi in this apartment as they have on the downstairs ones as there was plenty of room for one on the balcony!
We had a room here and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was brought us everyday so we could enjoy it outside. The hot tub even has a privacy curtain which was really nice to have for the evenings. The last day the room was double booked and they took us themselves to a larger private suite nearby that was really quite large and private which was a treat. It was great since we had had some dates mixed up with the ferry strike.
We visited the William’s houses at the red beach. The stay disappointed us due to the way how the accommodation is advertised, which doesn’t correspond to reality, and doesn’t worth at all the money. The Red Beach houses complex is advertised at booking.com as having a bar, jacuzzi, view and breakfast - thus we expected a hotel like service with a common space with a view, where we can chill at a terrace with a drink or use a common small jacuzzi. When we arrived we saw that all these amenities apply only to “deluxe” suite and it fact the standard room (the only available at the time of our booking) has none of these, just a medicore studio with a view into the garbage, dirty dishes and a lot of small defaults (e.g. lights at the nightstand, which do not reach any plug and thus are useless). “Breakfast” is a bunch of cheap food in a fridge (disgusting pack of “cheese” and “ham” for 2 Euros included), which you need to prepare yourself, in a tiny kitchen without equipment or space. Doesn’t worth 130 Euros per night at all and the way it is advertised is extremely misleading. I would like to give 2 stars for the very nice and friendly staff but they did not safe us from disappointment unfortunately...
Nice place, very clean rooms and kind service. We spent a pleasant week-end. The staff is always available to meet every request, at any time. Average prices. I would definitely recommend the structure.
My husband and I adored our room (Suite). We came to Santorini for our honeymoon and decided to stay Akrotiri to be away from the crowds and to relax. From our suite, we had an amazing view of the caldera from the balcony. The room and balcony were both very spacious. It's definitely the picturesque type of room you think of when you think of Santorini. The jacuzzi was very nice and I loved that it was inside our room for added privacy. There were drains all around outside so you don't have to worry about the floor staying wet. Breakfast was great each morning, very filling and delicious. The bathroom was very nice as well. The staff was probably one of our favorite things about this hotel. Nick, the hotel manager, and the entire staff were extremely accommodating. Nick booked all our tours for us which were all amazing, by the way. Some nights, we just ate dinner at the restaurant across the road or just walked 10 minutes down to the village. The nice thing about being in Akrotiri was that it was quiet but if you did want to go to the more touristy areas, you could just take a short walk down to the village and take the local bus to Fira. We did that almost every other day. Had fun with crowds then escaped to our sweet getaway at Williams Houses at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this hotel for all.
We visited akrotiri for our vacation and stayed 2 days in this very nice house. It has a very nice setting and comfortable rooms. The View was the best in akrotiri from our terrace as the pictures show!
The hosts at Williams Houses were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and they were able to give us good local knowledge. The room was cleaned daily, and breakfast on the veranda looking out onto the caldera, was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The bonus of the room was the espresso coffee machine and the towelling dressing gowns! The resort of Akrotiri is much quieter than Fira and Oia, but the accommodation prices are more reasonable. There are plenty of good Greek tavernas to eat in, a short walk into the town centre. As the island is small is it easy to reach the other towns and beaches, providing you have a car or a scooter. Thoroughly recommend this resort and accommodation.
This is a great place to stay if you want to be away from the main tourist areas of Fira & Oia. You probably do need a car or scooter if you want to see the island but that would apply anywhere. The staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The rooms was cleaned every day, with new bedding & towels. Our room was overlooking the Caldera with great views up towards Fira and the numerous cruise liners, ferries and other smaller boats in the bay. The breakfast was a real surprise as we had forgotten all about it, but it was a lovely treat in the morning being brought up on a tray to the room. Akrotiri isn't the most lively of towns but it has a nice feel about it. We wandered down to the coast a few times to the Red Beach and had a couple of meals at the restaurants down in the bay. Fantastic food and a lovely atmosphere. Would strongly recommend this to anyone wanting to see the island as this is a great base to do it from. There's lots of the old villages and interesting places of Santorini within easy reach. Fira and Oia were heaving in August but the rest of the island wasn't too bad. Overall we couldn't fault the accommodation and service and would happily recommend it to others.
Great rooms in the quieter part of the island. You do need to rent a car to get to the various beaches which are not very far but they are the best on the island. Family run 8 room structure. Great breakfast brought to your room, great shower, comfortable bed and linens. The only thing we were not happy with is the fact that the main road goes right in front of the hotel and there are so many motocycles going by.... but you're really a few minutes away from the best spots to watch the sunset which is not Oia.
We stayed for only 4 nights, but really enjoyed our stay and view on the Candera. Private Jacuzzi was sufficient for us to cool down every now and then. Rooms are clean and modernized. Bathroom is really slick! Family owned hotel, very friendly staff. Great place to eat just across the road, which was ideal for us, as we could use the baby monitor. If there's one downside, it's the traffic raging by a few meters from the rooms. The road is not that busy, but as it's quite steep, especially the quads make a lot of noise going by.
