I red reviews about this place before traveling to Santorini and found it funny that some people complain about the view...but then I arrived to the hotel and understood immediately why: When you book a room with the volcano view and a balcony, what you really get is a room with the access to a communal terrace with the volcano view. It's not a bad view and not a big problem really but I think the owner should be a bit more honest about it so that people know what they choose and can avoid disappointment. When I asked why on Booking.com the room I booked is described as caldera view with the balcony (that was the most expensive option!!!) he simply responded that it wasn't him writing the description, so he didn't feel any responsible and didn't understand where the problem is... He also claimed that to be "normal" in Greece that room with the communal terrace and room with the real private balcony is exactly the same. Weird to me, honestly speaking... There is a massive difference for the privacy if you have your own balcony or not, and if you have a volcano sea view or just a view on the terrace... So if you look for some privacy make sure you book room no 8 or 9 on the top floor otherwise you have people from the other two rooms on "your" balcony having their breakfast and doing whatever else they want ;-) Breakfast is served on the terrace. It's very simple but tasty. Good coffee and orange cake. There is no lift but always someone on the reception to help you with the luggage. Very friendly young male and female receptionists. Helpful to recommend place to eat or print your boarding pass. Hotel has a great location, on the last line of Fira's old town, just before the slope. Good for a volcano and sunset view. Generally speaking good stay, despite the disappointment with the room. If I can recommend something, I think the older guy (the owner? Manager?) shouldn't be on the front line with the guests because he is lacking skills of a good customer service...
This hotel is amazing! The location is very convenient to eating, shopping, and museums. The breakfast is generous and served promptly at your requested time. The views are great from the multiple balconies. However, what really sets this place apart is the service. The people are wonderful! Very helpful, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
OMG!!! I love it!!! Since the moment we got there, the atmosphere is peaceful. George did our check in, and he took his time to go over the WHOLE ISLAND map with us, he explained us everything, he did his recommendations and every single detail he went over with us. The views are just gorgeous!! Breakfast was serve in our room, at the time of our convenience. Room was big and clean. Only one thing, they will need a variety of menu for each day, because basically they serve the same menu every breakfast. Location is central, at good distance to get everywhere. If i go back, i will stay here again. And George is a great gentleman!!!
A nice little boutique hotel with 9 rooms. No. 1-4 are the standard doubles and look over the street , have a balcany but with no views of the caldera. We had no.4 and it was the largest of these. We up graded room to no.7 and got a shared terrace with views on the upper floors. I would rate the standard as a good 3 star but what really makes this hotel is the attention to detail and service. In the first instance the staff were fantastic with a very helpful George at reception who would help with local interests and information/ tours and where to avoid as tourist traps. He even met us of the bus as it cannot get directly to the hotel. ( small walk of 2 mins involved). Secondly all the rooms we stayed in were clean, had all the dressing gowns, irons etc and they brought you a fantastic breakfast at your convenience to your room or terrace. This was big enough for a family with eggs, bread, pastries, honey, jams, cake, friut, orange juice ant tea or coffee. It was an ideal location but also had the benefit of the use of its sister hotel 2 mins walk away. That had nice food and a good pool. Very fire fly and hope to return.
A quaint hotel centrally located in town. Request a room on the higher floors if you want to wake up to a view of the caldera. Keep in mind this hotel does not have a lift, so get ready to carry your bags up the stairs. Rooms are roomy and comfortable, breakfast is filling and the service is awesome!
I would highly recommend this hotel! I stayed with 2 friends at the end of May 2016 and it was lovely. The views are breathtaking, breakfasts are delivered on the terrace with stunning views of the caldera, just amazing. Ideal location in Fira Town, that's where you want to be! Access to shops, restaurants, just the views walking in Fira Town are amazing. You can rent a car and drive everywhere else (Oia, etc) but stay in Fira Town. The owner who's names escapes me was so accommodating and beyond expectations. 5 stars all day.
My daughters and I had a wonderful stay at Theoxenia Boutique Hotel! Staff was warm and welcoming, entire property was impeccably clean and our room (No. 6) had and incredible view of the caldera. (Seriously, the view is no joke! ) The hotel is centrally located and perfect for exploring, shopping and dining. Breakfast is served at your desired time in room each morning and it was filling and delicious. I can’t say enough great things about this property.
We spent 3 nights on Santorini and our stay was amazing. We had the Jr suite. The breakfast was delivered every day to our room when we wanted, and had a great selection of breads and fruit, coffee, tea and juice. The views are amazing but the staff also is fantastic and helped us rent a car. The room was so nice and clean and the shower was perfect - hot, strong, and plenty of room to move about. The wifi was also fantastic!! There was absolutely nothing I would have changed.
We stayed here few days this February. Everything was so nice about this place! We had some windy days in Santorini, and our room was a warm and cosy place to retrait for the night! We had a room with a view. A large room, also a large bathroom, a great bed. Very nice and polite people working there. They helped us in the first day to carry the luggage to the room, and when we left they arranged a taxi for us and the taxi driver also helped us with the luggage. Thank you! Definitely a place to stay in this amazing island!
This is a small cozy hotel of a house type, conveniently located in the central Fira. In the room you will find all the most necessary stuff for living . An iron, ironing board, kettle, bathrobes and slippers are in stock. Also there is a mini bar . Daily wet cleaning of the room, clean bed linen and breakfast with delivery to the room. I liked the most attentive staff. Guys ,thank you all for your kind smiles and outgoing from you positive. I will recommend your hotel to my friends and acquaintances.
