Breakfast was good and room was bigger then I expected. It was a little musty smelling in the room but not to bad. The room do not have sea view however you can step out of your room in a shared patio and see the sea. Virginia was okay- not overly warm but not rude so over all good experience.

It was fun staying in such a unique property and we really enjoyed the front porch area despite the feeling of being on display. The bathroom was not attached but we thought that was interesting. The upstairs room was wonderfully cool with a good air conditioner but the downstairs remained warm. Lastly this property is right above the road rather than being on the ocean side and was a tad noisy. The porch provided a great view and fun people watching but we also felt like we were on display and were a bit overwhelmed by the parade of people, buses, cars and scooters.

Virginia was lovely and helpful. The property is the perfect distance from everything - it's quiet and peaceful but close to everything. Breakfast was great. Our room was very clean.

We booked comfort house that should be 366 square feet, but it turned out to be about 100 square feet, it fits only the mattress and two luggage, no extra room to walk around.

Beautiful hotel in a great location with a wonderful view. Steps away from the Main Street in Oia. Look no further and Book here now you won't regret it.

Going to Santorini was a life long dream and the staff and accommodations of The Alexander equally matched the view and charm of Oia.

Our stay at Alexander's was absolutely amazing!! From the moment we arrived Miss Virginia was wonderfully kind and helpful. Coming during the off season can mean many things are closed but we feel (especially traveling with a 3 month old) it is the perfect time to come to see the true beauty of the island. Miss Virginia kept the hot tub clean (and going!) for us, made us breakfast at our requested time, arranged a private tour of the island, and an in-room massage. The house we stayed in was stunning, and the view was picture perfect. Absolutely recommend!!

Reservations: I had booked the honeymoon suite. After making the reservation, I started to read the many bad reviews regarding over-bookings. I was quite nervous and emailed them a few times prior to arriving to make sure we got exactly what we booked. When we arrived, check-in was smooth. We got a cave house immediately but it definitely did not come with "special honeymoon decorations, welcome fruit basket," etc. But I did not want to complain as I was grateful we got a room. We did however see three other guests experience booking issues the next evening, and all were eventually sent to other properties. Sad to see their disappointment and wasted time/money. The hotel location is great. It is on the main road at a bus stop, at the start of oia. Roughly 25 min walk to the tip/windmill, but you are away from the crowds. The view from the property is wonderful. Room: There was a small sitting area, kitchenette, and bedroom. It is dingy and dark. The decor and bedding was not nice and did not go with the beauty of Santorini. The ac unit was excessively dripping. The spa tub jets were a bit dirty. The front door kept getting jammed on the floor, making it quite difficult to get in and out. The room itself did not have a big window or view of the water. Once you step out, there is a shared terrace with three other rooms. This is where breakfast was served and where the hot tub is. Breakfast was basic and adequate. The receptionist was quite friendly and helpful. That, along with the view/location are really the only positives. Overall. I'm quite disappointed at what this hotel offered, especially given it was a pricey.

I normally don't leave reviews, but if I could have given Alexander's Botique Hotel a zero for a rating I would have. The only saving grace is the view. The prior reviews I read about the hotel switching rooms happened to me as well. We were given a room nextdoor at Nikos Villas, which is probably a better property then Alexander's. We were moved the next day, which is rather inconvenient as you have to repack all of your things in the morning so the people who actually booked that room the next day can have it. We were moved late in the afternoon to our room at Alexander's as it was not ready in the morning, and left our bags in the car. The room was dirty, the bathroom smelled of mold and there were no towels. It rained that evening and apparently it was the storm of the century according to the staff, as the water from above came down the stairs to the landing where Alexander's rooms are, and flooded all of the rooms. We were luckily only to have a few inches of water, and some of our belongings were ruined. The room next to us had at least eight inches of standing water in it. The staff would not provide a refund or any sort of compensation for our troubles or loss of items.

They were overbooked and didn't have a room for me so I want a refund! I will call with details!
