I stayed for five nights in the hotel for a business trip. The hotel strategically located, only 5 minutes walk away from Escuela Militar metro station. It turned out to be most convenient for my business travels. The hotel reception staff were very amiable and helpful, room was spacious and room service was good. The only drawback I saw was, the floor in the room was not particularly clean, but certainly could be overlooked considering the many positives.
The rooms are very functional with the kitchen and the fridge. Bathroom is clean and wifi worked well. Breakfast is not great, no eggs or fresh fruit, but it has yogurt. the pool is very nice to swim or just relax. Gym could be better. reception is very responsive.
I stay at this aparthotel every time I am in Santiago. It is fantastic. Great location, nice staff and very accommodating. Recommended 100%. You can walk to main transportation, very safe area and supermarkets are close which helps.
Located in Las Condes near the metro station Escuela Militar. No signs in the building that consist of two big towers. The reception is on room 203, second floor in one building and the rooms are in both buildings. The room is comfortable equipped with a little kitchen. The breakfast is a little poor, served the night before. But there is a mini market just outside the building so you can make your own breakfast in your kitchen. Very good WiFi in the room. Nice view of Santiago from the upper rooms.
Very disappointing considering the amount of traveling done to get here. On arrival, the kitchen utensils (cutlery, dishes and pots) were not clean with leftover food marks. The lounge sofa was dirty, dusty and leftover female (or male) long hair. Furniture is tired and needs a revamp. The only good thing about this place is its location in Las Condes). I would consider another option first before booking your stay at Monarca.
The hotel is in Las Condes, so its quite a lot expensive everything. Its a good place if you are travelling to work and need to be in Las Condes. Its close to trains station, so if want to meet the city can be a little bit cheap. The breakfast its just ok, can be improved. The room is clean and the infrastructure is good. the swim pool its huge, but its not so hot as they said. The only problem its that they are not famous in the city and we can't find information about the hotel outside. So you need to know the address, otherwise the taxi not know this place. Also they have a gym, but I didn't use, so i wont post nothing about :P.
This apart-hotel is located in a building with two towers: at first it is confusing, as you enter the apartment building you need to go up to the 2nd floor, where you will find the reception. The apart-hotel has different apartments spread all over the two towers. You can tell the difference because only the apart-hotel apartments have key card access. The apartment I stayed in was very clean, modern and functionally furnished. High-speed Internet access was included and worked fine. It was cleaned on a daily base. You can catch a taxi outside or use the metro (station "Escuela Militar"). All in all a good experience.
Even after the reviews it took us a while to find the front desk. (room 203 on the second floor) as it is an apartment and the name of the hotel is nowhere to be seen. Rooms have a kitchen and separate bed room and so would be ideal for a longer stay. The staff was very helpful and delivered our cold breakfast the night before so we could eat at our leisure. The location is on a major street and is only 2 minutes to the subway.
You may find strange at first because the hotel, actually an apart hotel, is located inside a residential building. The front desk is an apartment at the second floor. The room is nice, cozy and clean. It has a full kitchen with microwave, oven, cooktop, silverware, corkscrew (ideal for Chilean wine), glasses, etc... About the size, it's perfect for two. With a living room with sofa and chair, lots of wardrobes and a nice king size bed. Be careful about the bathroom, as the bathtub is a little high above the ground and you can hurt yourself while leaving the shower. The staff is nice and polite. They speak english and are available at all times. The hotel is just 2 min walk from the metro, which is by far the best way to go to other places in town. The downside: The elevators... they just keep "parannnn" with that annoying noise. You can hear that chime all the time whenever it stops at any floor. The noise and privacy from lower floors. You need to stay with the curtains closed for some privacy, as there is a large bus stop and the metro entrance right in front of the building. ---- Certainly I would stay here again, but in a higher floor.
This hoteles was fine but nothing outu of the ordinary. The location is good if you need to use the metro but there are not many restaurants or shops close by. It was nice having a kichen for our week stay and there is a minmart as well as a Uni full grocery store close by. The metro stop also has some shops and take out places. The unit has very nice views from the balcony of the Andes (we lucked out with clear weather) but there is no outside furniture. The unit had a slight musty smell, especially the closets (all my clothes had this smell when I returned home) and they only provided one towel per guest. They were also low on glasses. Our unit slept four but only 2 wine glasses and 3 other glasses! As other reviewers has stated, the breakfast is not very good - mostly canned fruit and processed, sugarery cereal. The yogurt was good and we did eat that. Also, the phones and interet went out several times while we were there and it made it difficult to communicate with the people who brought us to Santiago for a conference. Also, getting dropped off is difficult as there is no drive for the hotel. You try buzzing the reception for the buliding but they were not very happy to let the car into the lot or jump out quickly in front which is also the bus lane for the metro-bus stop nextdoor. If you want a kitchen and need some space or are staying for a long visit, then this place is ok but I think overpriced for what they offer and next time I visit Santiago, I will book a boutique hotel or look for another apartment-hotel option.
