3 nights stay. What I didn't like: - Service: this is just a design hotel. Do not expect service and professionality. Staff inadeguate. 20 minutes to check in, breakfast staff rude and cold - Room wasn't very clean: floor, bathroom. I found socks and dust near the bed. The first day didn't replace soap - two small bottles of water in room only the first day. The other days they expect that you don't drink - breakfast: limited choice and average. Very uncomfortable seats in a dark room underground - wifi slow - room was noisy on a busy street (the ones facing the Park cost 100$ more per day!) What I liked: - location: Lastarria is a nice neighborhood full of bars and restaurants Overall not a good stay. Design is not enough to be considered a boutique hotel.
Good modern hotel in an excellent central location with nice views to a park. Very friendly and helpful staff, always willing to go the extra mile to help - with a smile. Five minutes from pobluc transport and many cafes and restaurants. Walking distance to lively Bellavista district.
Good hotel with a lovely staff, young people to attend you!! Well location (Bellas artes and Lastarria, the barrios more elegant and interesting of Santiago) and good breakfast, essential but good quality! I suggest to reserve a suite, standard room is very little!
We spent four nights here and it was home away from home. It was a great location, across the street from Parque Forestal and walking distance to many of the historical sights, the heart of downtown and several great restaurants. Breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful and courteous. It is a small, clean boutique hotel with very clean rooms and comfortable beds. If you are looking for a very comfortable hotel in a great location with very good prices, consider the Hotel Ismael 312.
Just spent 3 days there. Great location, comfortable rooms, good breakfast and best of all, awesome staff with super star Joaquim who went well out of his way to make my visit of the city extremely enjoyable!! Thank you so very much!!
The hotel is in a short walk from the metro stop. Unfortunately, we looked obviously tourists with our big pack on so we got targeted. While walking down the street to the hotel, I felt a splash on my arm and then a random man standing by pointed out that I had bird poop all over my pack, pants and some in my hair. My husband got some on his pants as well. The guy offered a full pack of Kleenex. Never in my life encountering a man who carries a full pack of kleenex then quickly it registered to me of a scan I read about. He was trying to pickpocket while pretended to help clean us up. I told my husband to instantly walk away for him. When we got to the hotel, we told staff about it. I asked for a laundry service as my down jacket was sprayed and Francesca took care of it. The next day it was ready and I was told that it was free of charge. The staff also help with my husband trying to find a bird book to replace the one he left on an airplane. The room was nice. We had our dinner picnic in the park watching the locals enjoying their evening. Breakfast was excellent. Central location.
We stayed a couple of nights at hotel Ismael 312, it is a nice hotel, clean and well run. The location is excellent and the staff are very helpful. The decor is modern and the breakfast is very good. We were very happy staying there.
As this was to be our final accommodation for our stay in Chile, I booked a park view room which did, indeed have a lovely view of the parque forestal. On arrival we were assured that it was also the quietest side of the hotel and it was probably true as the other side overlooks a very busy street. The fact that the hotel is in walking distance of the Bellavista area, the Mercado Central, and the Cathedral was a huge benefit as well. The public areas had a very modern feel... glass, artwork and large 'coffee table' books displayed around the floor to ceiling shelves. The room was spacious but as seems to be the case in boutique hotels, the walls of the en suite were opaque ... maybe these hotels have just given up the pretence that any hotel en suite is little more than a paper thin partition and in any way private. The availability of coffee and pastries throughout the day is a nice touch, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. If you are thinking of booking here, I certainly wouldn't try to put you off.
This hotel is really nice. The rooms are beautiful and it's located near to the Bellas Artes Museum, rrally beautiful place. The breakfast is amazing, with cheesecake and french breads 😍. It's not very close to the Costanera, but Santa Lucia Hill and the central region of Santiago are very close - you can go there by walking. Secure area and nice view from the rooms.
The Ismael Hotel was very reasonably priced compared to other Santiago hotels. The location was excellent so you have your doubts; old hotel; small, dark rooms; poor amenities; cold water etc. Well! What a surprise! After 3 weeks in South America and numerous hotels, we got the best and most modern for the last, ISMAEL. The room was light, spacious, nice decor with a functional balcony overlooking a scenic park. Nice modern bathroom, large comfortable bed, study desk, fridge, safe, even a microwave. Our voucher stated "continental breakfast" but the fruit, fruit juices and yoghurts were superb and the personally prepared bacon and omelette were deliciously surprising. Did I mention that free tea, coffee, muffins and pastries are always available in the cafe. Very highly recommended. You will not be disappointed. Oh! Yes, almost forgot the young, English speaking, friendly and helpful staff including Giuseppe, the Italian Food and Beverage Manager. A hotel to remember!
