The hotel reception/lounge area was quite unique with lots of art orientated features and books on art and Chile's landscapes and culture. Free Coffee, Tea and nibbles are available by the rear entrance. The hotel is situated on a nice little park, and within walking distance of a lively bar/restaurant area with street performers etc. The staff were very nice, friendly and accomodating, although I wasn't told about the pool unfortunately. The bed was quite comfy, and the shower room was nice, but the floor of the room consisted of a strange textured mat like surface which didn't feel nice underfoot and both looked and felt a bit grubby. It let the room down in my opinion. Breakfast was quite good, omelette made to order and cereals, toast and tea/coffee/juice and water.
Very tasteful, small but convenient rooms. Good and friendly staff Breakfast buffet very good. Small remark: bathroom with modern shower shows some wear because of water overflow (Floor damage) to be recommended.
This hotel is well situated, only a couple of minutes walk to one of the main tourist restaurant areas and Street market of artists. It is also a 15 minute or less walk to both the main city plaza and the university bar area (near the funicular). The hotel itself is replete with art and has a cool laid-back modern vibe. Coffee and treats are available 24/7, and the rooms are well appointed.
This is a small boutique hotel situated on a park, yet walking distance to many restaurants and things to do in Santiago. The staff is helpful and friendly and the breakfast is very good, with eggs/omelets to order. The rooms are pretty small, so don't plan to spend much time in them! We hung out by the pool every evening and it was really pleasant.
Thanks to the Front Office staff (Thank you, Joachim. You deserve an Excellent rating), I'm happy to give a Poor rating. Otherwise it would be a Terrible. The best thing about the hotel is the location and some staff members, otherwise we would not recommend this hotel at all. Was charged US $14.- for 2 in room coffee!!!! We travel a lot and never have been charged for a coffee you make your own in the room. They did not display anything that you have to pay, would have been the same if we would have used a Tea bag!! On top of that, they don't supply any milk or spoon to stir. But have no regret to charge US $14. Surprised they did not charge for using the Toilet!! Breakfast is below average and very minimum choices. Was nice they cooked the eggs to order, "Thank you Chef". The chairs and tables are extremely uncomfortable. To top it all up: it's almost criminal the price they charge per night.! US $130 per night. The room was very small, bed not very comfortable. Highly NOT recommending this Hotel.
The location is perfect. It's near the art museum (Bellas Artes - and it's free. In fact this hotel is one of its sponsors), near the marvelous LaStarria neighborhood, half a block from one of the best ice cream places in Santiago, a five minute walk from the metro, ten minute walk from the BellaVista neighborhood and Cerro St, Lucia, and right across the street from Parque Forestal. The hotel itself is very pretty - modern and very clean. There are lovely views from the 9th floor patio where there is a small pool and spots to sit. The breakfast is nice and there are snacks out all day. What sets this hotel apart from others is the welcoming, helpful hotel staff. From the moment I checked in with Diego Guevara, who did everything possible to make me comfortable (though I had gotten there very early) to the other marvelous reception staff: Lucas, Veronica, Joaquín and others, they all were cheerful, helpful and professional. The excellent service was evident with the dining room staff, as well. Eva, the chef came out every morning to make sure that the dishes were perfect, and Leonardo, Mauro, Paolo, Andrés remembered my preferences from the very first day, so I didn't even have to ask for my eggs or coffee a certain way. They made lovely conversation and made sure to tell me about things that were going on or things I should see. The best part was listening to how kindly the staff treated each other - they were friendly, respectful, and talked positively about each other. Kudos to the GM Giuseppe Barone for his leadership and attention to detail. I stayed here a week, and will recommend it to colleagues who travel to Santiago.
3 nights stay. What I didn't like: - Service: this is just a design hotel. Do not expect service and professionality. Staff inadeguate. 20 minutes to check in, breakfast staff rude and cold - Room wasn't very clean: floor, bathroom. I found socks and dust near the bed. The first day didn't replace soap - two small bottles of water in room only the first day. The other days they expect that you don't drink - breakfast: limited choice and average. Very uncomfortable seats in a dark room underground - wifi slow - room was noisy on a busy street (the ones facing the Park cost 100$ more per day!) What I liked: - location: Lastarria is a nice neighborhood full of bars and restaurants Overall not a good stay. Design is not enough to be considered a boutique hotel.
Good modern hotel in an excellent central location with nice views to a park. Very friendly and helpful staff, always willing to go the extra mile to help - with a smile. Five minutes from pobluc transport and many cafes and restaurants. Walking distance to lively Bellavista district.
Good hotel with a lovely staff, young people to attend you!! Well location (Bellas artes and Lastarria, the barrios more elegant and interesting of Santiago) and good breakfast, essential but good quality! I suggest to reserve a suite, standard room is very little!
We spent four nights here and it was home away from home. It was a great location, across the street from Parque Forestal and walking distance to many of the historical sights, the heart of downtown and several great restaurants. Breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful and courteous. It is a small, clean boutique hotel with very clean rooms and comfortable beds. If you are looking for a very comfortable hotel in a great location with very good prices, consider the Hotel Ismael 312.
