We ended up renting at the last minute, and I'm glad it worked out. Very cool place, well located, access to bars and restaurants, clean environment and exceptional service. Highly recommended by me and my family, which included children.
My stay at the Lastarria 61 was restful and peaceful. The staff was extremely helpful, especially with my limited Spanish proficiency. I stayed in a comfortable 1-bedroom apartment and would definitely book the Lastarria again
Comfort, quality and service, and we really enjoyed our stay at La Starria. The location is just grand; safe, close to parks, shopping and historical sights. The rooms are kept immaculately and I loved the balcony off the master bedroom upstairs. The staff are very helpful and nice. Worth every penny.
Lastarria 43/61 is a great place to stay in the best part of Santiago. We were warmly welcomed and helped with everything we needed, including airport transfer. The place is neat and beautiful. We had a great stay.
Charming room overlooking the cobblestone street, convenient to dining, quaint shops, Cerro Santa Lucia, Mercado, and more! Clean, safe, and most accommmdating, FRIENDLY staff. Wonderful!! Having access to a variety of places to eat, visit and a comfortable room made the Lastarria 43/61 ideal.
The apartment we stayed in was newly renovated, spacious and airy. There appears to be three different locations for these apartments but they are all close to each other. The staff were extremely helpful and the location is great with lots of cafes and close to parks and museums.
The location of 61 is great (43 is a few seconds away, but the views / sounds of the street are not as good). We had two rooms and a living area with kitchen - very practical as the last hotel in our South American trip. Grocery store is 5 minutes away and we made breakfast in the room as there is no restaurant at this property. However, as you open the front door, there is a restaurant right there on the sidewalk if that is preferred, as well as about 10 more across the street in a very pretty enclave. It so happened that the property had an issue with the hot water for a couple of days when we were there, but they remediated that problem (water was lukewarm for one day and practically stopped for another day). The management was very apologetic and allowed us to depart late on the last day at no extra charge to acknowledge the inconvenience created. Again, happy with the choice and a lot of the city sights are within walking distance.
We visited Santiago for 3 and half days and thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed at Lastarria 61 and the apartment was great. The bed is comfortable, the place is very clean, and nicely furnished. WE were on the 4th floor and so at the end of the day a bit tiring, but is good exercise. We booked through Trip Advisor and everything went very well. I sent an email to notify that we would be arriving late and staff offered to book us a transport to and from the airport. We really appreciated that as we do not speak Spanish. The staff generally spoke some English and were therefore very helpful. All of the staff that we met, Sebastian, Claudio, Miguel and Raymond were very nice to us and we appreciated their hospitality. The neighbourhood is very nice and safe to walk around in the evening. There are a lot of nice restaurants close by. If you are needing a cup of coffee in the morning I suggest you turn right out of the place and left on first street and go to Marley Coffee for take out. WE highly recommend Lastarria 61 and would book there again.
Location is great in the heart of the trendy central Santiago. Great restaurants close by as well as yummy ice cream. It is an apartment but not fully set up so I would stick to bringing in something for breakfast or a glass of wine with dessert. The room is small but very nicely appointed and is a perfect base for your days touring Santiago. Great sheets and duvet! Very new and clean and modern. We were only there for one night but I would return in a heartbeat. Staff were very attentive and helpful.
Location perfect for getting around town and seeing the main sights (and unfortunately [!] we didnt need to use the buses or metro). The room/kitchen/bathroom had all we needed+more for 3 days and was a haven to escape to from the heat, or hustle+bustle. Staff were helpful in providing guidance / maps etc. Arriving early (post transatlantic flight) we were able to check in early but with an upgrade (paid-for) flat - well worth it. Strongly recommended. Would definitely choose again.
