Room freshly decorated and clean, staff very helpfull, breakfast and dinner ok. Located just across the street of the sanctuary. Ideal location. Free parking at the back of the hotel. Just one problem: cold water in bathroom during rush hours. If you can manage to work around the group schedules (like we when we found out the problem) you have warm water and it would have been the best hotel during our trip!
This hotel is a small gem within the crown of Fatima. A very welcoming staff, very good food, a warm family atmosphere prevail here. Yes, rooms are a bit small, but very well decorated and extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bathrooms are excellent. The location is superb, but one caution: due to its location, you hear ALL of the services from the Sanctuary, from 7:30 am until the end of the evening procession, about 11:00 pm. You do not come to Fatima for 5 star luxury. This hotel makes for a perfect stay.
This hotel offers cozy room with excellent service. Not just that, its location is also excellent located right next to the holy trinity basilica, a stone's throw away from the sanctuary. On top of that the meal offered at this hotel is just superb, I had the chance to have dinner there and their pork chop was perfectly seasoned and perfectly grilled, served with beautiful salad elevated by beautiful olive oil dressing, creamy and fluffy rice as well as fries which were crunchy on the outside soft in the middle. Truly a beautiful meal. Their caramel flan is so beautiful and wobble just perfectly. And if you still have enough space for another dose of desert have the strawberries and cream, truly a beautiful experience
This is a family run chain of hotels... Fatima Hotels.... It has a very welcoming and positive vibed color theme... the room decoration and color co-ordination I'd absolute wonderful... Very close to the Basalica so it saves ur time walking and travelling... The dinner is good not a lot to choose from but good.. infact it was wonderful to see the entire family who own the restaurant come down and have a meal together.... The breakfast is buffet style fresh and nice... Thank u to the management and staff for making our stay so lovely and comfortable... Regards Leona n Ronnie
This hotel was not only immaculate but the service was extremely warm and friendly. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. It was literally across the street from the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima Buy candles in one of the near buy stores and join the evening procession after the rosary which starts at 9:00. It is a lovely and moving ceremony. The food was very tasty and plentiful.
First of all my apologies for the delay in posting these words of appreciation. Ours was a big group - 80 people with around 15 children under 13 and we spent 4 nights in this great place during the last week of October 2015. We were a Church group on pilgrimage to Fatima. We found the hotel staffs were brilliant and also they were so accommodative and friendly. All our team members felt absolutely satisfied with the staff and the hotel. The food, stay and over all experience were very good. I think big groups traveling with kids should always consider this hotel. Not only during the stay even during the preparation phase I found the admin team brilliant and very promptings with their communication. Will stay in the same hotel next time.
The Hotel Coracao de Fatima employees were most helpful during our recent visit to Our Lady of Fatima, Portugal. The cost of a 9 days accommodation including breakfast was very reasonable for a second week of November stay. For a fit and light traveller with luggage on wheels will have little difficulty reaching the hotel in a 15 minutes or less walk but taxi is always available if required. The only negative about the walk is crossing the width of the sanctuary which is on cobble stones but the rest has a smooth tiles along the sidewalk. For anyone wanting to pay homage to the Our Lady of Fatima will find the location most ideal as the walk takes a minute to get to the middle of sanctuary. The distance to the Way of Cross is 1.5 KM and can be reached in a leisure walking speed of 45 minutes from the hotel. Pingo Doce is a grocery shop where we got our very reasonable lunch and dinner, which is just opposite of the bus station. To actually get more items for the Euro, buy souvenirs at shops along the way to Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia's houses, just on the other side of the Way of the Cross hill. Enjoy almost 20-40% cheaper compared to shops around the sanctuary.
We had a bit of bad luck with our stay. We were expecting a double bed and a single bed but instead we got 3 single beds. We read online that they had bathtubs but our room had a small shower. We avoided going into the bathroom because it's window was broken and let in the cold air so it felt like Siberia. We contacted reception and the receptionist tried to cover the window but it was no use... We discovered that our door lock was broken and wouldn't lock so, our family and our things were unprotected during the night and the next morning. We were told that the hotel was full and that it was impossible for us to change rooms. We also got an apology e-mail from the hotel but it didn't change what had happened. On the bright side, We checked in and the receptionist was super lovely and helpful. The hotel is a short walking distance from the shrine. We had access to parking until the end of the day we checked out. The room was clean but could really use refurnishing. The breakfast was okay but the restaurant was really cold.
I stayed at this hotel in late June 2014. The price is good and hotel itself is in pretty good condition and very easy to find. The Hotel staff are terrific and eager to answer all your questions and will help you with maps. The rooms are pretty basic with good air conditioning and small TV. I think I could just get CNN is English. The breakfast is included in the price and consists of thin sliced cold cuts, cheese, croissants, breads, sweet cakes, yogurts, cold cereals, juice and a cappuccino maker, so for the price, you are getting a pretty good deal. It has one elevator that is fairy small. The best part about Hotel Coracao is the location. It is just yards away from the sanctuary plaza and you can walk to the Basilica within 10 minutes or the apparitions chappel. So if you are "lost" anywhere in Fatima, all you need to do is get back to the sanctuary plaza and you will know where the hotel is. Also, after breakfast in the morning, I walked to Aljustrel to the homes of the three shepherd seers, and along the whole way is a cobbelstone path. You can also walk to the parish church of Fatima where the shepherd children were baptized and attended Mass. Across the street is the Parish cemetery and that is where Francisco`s and Jacinta`s parents are buried. I met Jacinta`s and Francisco`s niece, her father was their brother John ( don`t know how to spell it in Portuguese ). If you are lucky, she will come out and introduce herself and show you pictures. Her shop and home is across the street from their childhood home during the apparitions. She even showed me Jacinta`s little earring, which is encased in glass in her shop. I never had to take a cab once in Fatima. But the Hotel Coracao De Fatima is good for the price.
Room was clean, basic accommodation, kind personnel serving breakfast, very good price for a a plain hotel. Very close to Fatima Plaza. Polite front desk employee.
