This Hotel is rated with 4 stars but the lobby is in disrepair, with dirty furniture with large tears in the fabric. I feel that it was overpriced for the quality of the facility. The buffet breakfast was great, and the staff was very helpful and didn't push us out when the service time came to an end.
Overall the quality and selection of the food was bad. Breakfast also includes vegetables such as tomatoes or other. Nothing was there. And that in Spain. Atmosphere is also not good. More fresh and modern would be good.
Good location, and friendly staff. The room was ok, but no kettle for making tea, and the bed was not extremely comfortable. The usual problem of no spare plug next to one side of the bed so difficult to charge phones. Also had a disappointing view over the courtyard which looked a bit messy.
The hotel is downtown Santander. I stayed there for a four-day stay and it is very convenient and close to everything. Rooms are spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. I did not need to park my car in the garage, but I know it is a little bit pricey.
Nothing but praise for this hotel. Very centrally located, extremely spacious rooms and modern and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. And all at a very reasonable price. I will definitely stay here again.
spent three pleasant nights there in November. the rooms are nice and fresh and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. the staff were so helpful. it has a nice lounge at the front of the hotel with reasonably priced drinks. we didn't go to the restaurant for breakfast as it was a bit pricey but you can get a reasonable light breakfast in the lounge. the hotel is surrounded by some lovely cafes and restaurants and a great Italian restaurant next door.
Recently stayed for three nights whilst on a photographic workshop. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom well appointed although the basin was cracked. As the central heating is centrally controlled, the room was occasionally too hot. Breakfast was adequate with a choice of breads, cakes and pastries. The staff were very friendly. Overall the hotel provided a good base whilst on the workshop. The hotel was in the centre of Santander and had a good choice of shops and restaurants close by.
Good central hotel, stayed in superior room with excellent shower. Didn't have breakfast, cheap prices in hotel bar ( excellent service from barman). Good pizzas in restaurant next door. Breakfast available throughout city centre for around €5. Airport bus runs every half hour to bus station for €2.50 single, 5 mins walk to hotel.
I only stayed in the room for an afternoon while working, so did not get to experience much of it. Rooms were nice enough and clean, but a little on the small side. Bathroom was fairly average. Staff were very friendly, but think I would search for a different hotel if I were to return to Santander.
The Silken Coliseum hotel is in a very central location of Santander which was one of the reasons we chose it, the other reason was for its onsite parking. The parking is underneath the hotel but only has a limited number of spaces, which can be a little tight if you have a large car. Parking is €18 per day. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was okay, a little on the small side but we were only there one night. Also the room was looking a bit tired the carpet was threadbare in places. One point of note, there didn't appear to be a porter service, not that I use it. Wifi connection was good. We didn't try the breakfast, we prefer a local café.
