Warning: not a 4-star hotel. Small rooms, hot, not as advertised. We arrived with four adults as stated on Orbitz. We were told it was an illegal to have child with us and the clerk began to change our room. He claimed the charge was $180 and I thought he was getting larger room. No..he was charging us for a second room. What should have been a $500 bill for 3 nights turns out to be a $1000. They also moved us to the annex, a building up the street from the main hotel. The clerk offered no solution, and as we were traveling with young daughters, put us in an unsafe situation if we were separated. But here’s the kicker: we took the first room and made arrangements for our daughter to stay with friends on a school trip. We posted four passports and they still charged us for a second room…which we NEVER took the keys for or stayed in!!!!! I am talking with Cit and my attorneys. I am also posting this on every travel site I can find. I regret booking a room with Rome Times Hotel. What could have been a great trip to Rome was ruined by poor customer service and unethical business practices. File under Bait and Switch!!!!
The hotel was conveniently located and modern. But there were certain issues. The last night we stayed we had a power outage and the AC and wi-fi was not working for a while and given the weather in Rome, it was quite uncomfortable. Also strangely, our queen bed has 2 smaller mattresses which made it uncomfortable to sleep as there was a gap between the 2 mattresses.

Great location, but the room was in the annex and it was in poor condition. The shower was almost overflowing with water, the door to the balcony came off the hinge...the place needs some TLC.
good hotel amazing location . great staff . really recomended.bit overpriced bit full all the time .
Excellent hotel w/ Grest breakfast options. The cell phone they give you is helpful because it provides audio guides, tourist attractions, and local restaurants. The hotel is in the city center and within walking distance to the Colloseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Pantheon. It's also close to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. There are 2 metro stations close by to get to the Vatican.
Great location! Easy walk to so many sites. Very comfortable. Staff was great.
Very nice staff..loved that they lend you a phone to move around rome..very clean and modern will stay here again
Friendly staff, great restaurant, perfect location within walking distance to the Spanish steps, coluseum and much more. Will return to this property.
Modern and spacious rooms. Stayed there three times already and will definitely come back.
Buen hotel pero que permite fumar dentro del mismo y para el que no le gusta ese olor es terrible ya que te lo encuentras dentro de todo el hotel. Por lo demás, es limpio, buen área y personal amable

Dear Michael,We are sorry to read this very bad review. Our Junior is a maximum occupancy of 4 people. You arrived in 5 people, your child is a teenager which needs an extra bed, and it is not possible to add it on the Junior Suite, as for Italian law we have to respect the maximum capacity of the room. We helped to book another room next to the other with a discounted rate. WE NEVER CHARGED YOU FOR THIS EXTRA ROOM AND YOU NEVER TOOK THIS EXTRA ROOM (you said to the reception that your daughter went to sleep to your friends). Our rooms are like described, the same square meters and during winter time there is heating system and during summer time a/c.We didn't move you to the ANNEX building, your agency booked the room in the annex! Why your agency didn't advise in the booking that you where 5 people? They made the mistake and we tried to help you and find the better solution. This review does not reflect the reality of the facts. We are sorry that you didn't discuss this with us during the stay and you wrote after you checked out.
