The staff was very friendly and accommodating and room very clean. Great value for this class of hotel.

Staff is WONDERFUL. Room is close to atractions and clean and comfortable.

Easy and friendly check-in. Close proximity to boardwalk nice easy walk. Across the street is construction.

My wife did not like the idea of booking a Super 8 but I talked her into it. She was right. This property is old, run down, and very dirty. There was mold in the bathroom. The best part of this stay was leaving. I expected a lot more for the price. Very disappointed.

It is walking distance to the beach which will be a great plus for me with a 3 years old kid and a lot of his beach toys. The room overall is a little bit old but comfortable. I cannot complaint too much since Boardwalk is such a popular tourist spot and all the surrounding motels get fully booked easily.

We enjoyed the nice room and the proximity to the beach. The facility is simple. But we are thankful for low cost.

Very kind managers and a safe hotel. Perfect location to visit the boardwalk

Great place. Nothing fancy but nice, clean and helpful staff. Close enough to beach for an easy walk. Will definetly stay there again.

If you want to be close to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, this is a great hotel. It is well within walking distance. Beyond that, it's an average property with very tight parking and tiny "breakfast" area. Very nice manager and staff, and they were very attentive to our needs, but it's no more than an average property, at best.

Went to Santa Cruz take my girlfriend on a little birthday trip. Started looking at places and they were all really over priced in my opinion. So I went with super 8 east which was a great choice. Getting there was really easy from the freeway. Upon arriving I noticed the location couldn't of got any better. It's right next to the boardwalk the staff was awesome didn't even have to drive really cause everything you need is right there. The rooms were very clean smelled good and beds were comfortable. Overall I think its worth the money for where your at and I will be staying there again

The Super 8 was a very clean and affordable place to stay with my family. The continental breakfast included waffles, yogurt, toast, cereal, fruit and hot/cold beverages. The rooms were colorful and tastefully decorated and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. The Boardwalk and Wharf were within walking distance, and Downtown was but a short drive. The managers were very kind and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked this hotel the night before our reservation for the weekend before the 4th of July. For that reason it makes sense that we paid $200 after taxes and fees for the night. However, it is within an easy walk from the boardwalk, parking was difficult but the friendly staff made a spot for me. The room was clean and the bed comfy. It's a super 8- it would be a $70 room elsewhere. I'd stay here again.

Hotel is typical older property but with larger rooms and updates to make it very comfortable and livable. Very clean, excellent helpful staff, good location two blocks from Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Room was spacious for this class of hotel. Free breakfast was basic but OK; no breakfast space but trays to take food back to room. Excellent value, clean, comfortable.

Very nice, very clean rooms. We were impressed. This is an older hotel, but has been kept up very well.

Location is perfect for the Boardwalk and the beach.

We were able to walk to dinner and breakfast, if you want to go to a quiet beach without a ton of people, I suggest you drive north on Highway 1 to Davenport.

we stayed at this hotel based on its location and proximity to the santa cruz beach boardwalk and the beach. it is just a short walk from the hotel. the rooms are small, but clean and they appear as though they have been recently painted and updated with new bedding and curtains. although the room was close to the street, it wasn't overly noisy and our children (ages 2, 4 and 6) were able to sleep fine. we could hear the ppl in the room next door, but again, it didn't seem as though the walls were paper thin. the staff was friendly and helpful. the continental breakfast was good with a nice choice of food items and beverages. we did have to make a couple of trips back and forth between the lobby (where the food is set up) and our room as there isn't a dining room or tables set up. (the lobby is too small to accomodate diners) overall, for the price, this hotel was very good. if you want more amenities or larger rooms, you will pay for the luxury. we have stayed in more expensive hotel/motels and have not had as good an experience.

We had 2 very comfortable nights. I cannot understand the poor ratings from previous visitors. Recently refurbished to a good standard by the friendly Patel family, superb bed, room with coffee-maker and simple-to-use microwave, which we used to heat up tasty produce we bought from a shop 50 yards away. The usual super-8 breakfast, with cereal (choice of 2), muffins and danish pastry, plus toast and jam. Good value indeed, even better if you get the $10 discount voucher from the tourist office.

It was a nice little new years getaway for a reasonable price. The room was clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff. What else can I say. It was really just a place to spend the night. I would stay there again.

Hotel is nothing special. Provides only a place to sleep
