Great location, easy to walk to downtown on State st. Comfortable bed, in room microwave and fridge. Bathroom was a little strange.

Staff was great, close to downtown walking distance to restaurants and shops

We had a great stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites. Currently under renovations, but the staff was friendly and we had a very nice stay.

The room appeared clean. The Keurig machine was not working, but it was easily replaced with a new one. The pool and one side of the hotel is under construction.

I’ve stayed here before and was happy with it, but it’s changed. Upon arriving I was greeted by valet. There is no self parking anymore (because the property is under massive construction), but valet should then be complimentary. I opted to park on the street as there were spots right outside. As for the room: The mattress is uncomfortable, the pillows have no stuffing, and there isn’t a real blanket on the bed. The windows are so thin, so you hear everything outside. They added glass doors to the bathroom, I’m assuming to look hip, but instead it affords you zero privacy. The furniture is cheap and doesn’t fit. It’s it a Motel 6 with lipstick on. For this stay, it is what it is because it was $150. But when it’s $250 that is an insane ripoff. Will I stay here again? Probably not, unless it’s next to free. And at least this time I can go in armed with bedded and an understanding I’m not going to be impressed.

Giant bathrooms with mid-size rooms, good shower pressure, good air conditioning, and comfortable beds. Everything was clean. Surrounding area is very safe and walkable. Free parking. Great stay!

Great location walking distance from stores and eating establishments

Everything was good. But no one informed us prior to our visit that the hotel is being renovated and there was no pool access! That would have been good to know.

The pool area was clean & quiet. After a long walk to the Mission, we bought lunch at the deli across the street & had a wonderful lunch outside by the pool. Breakfast was great!!

Nice location on State Street. Easy to get to and back on the road.

Great location to downtown. Very clean, beautiful landscape, staff very friendly,

I really enjoyed my experience at La Quinta Inn. The quality of the hotel, and the staff exceeded my expectations. I’m planning on only staying there every month that I’ll be coming to Santa Barbara for work.

This is not a fair assessment because I didn’t stay at La Quinta. They did not honor my reservation and I had to be relocated and deal with a huge issue at the new hotel. My assessment for very poor was with the customer service agent I spoke with at la Quinta before the stay. I called to se if I could add my husband to check in. Had I not called, I would’ve been on site trying to check in with issues and waiting on orbit to find me a new hotel. I guess I should be happy I called at 2 so I had time to be transferred to the relocation dept and wait an hour for new accommodations to be made. This is not a review and should not be posted.

We always love this La Quinta. You’re a short walk or quick ride into the heart of Santa Barbara. The only knocks on this visit were: there is no real blanket on the bed. And the WiFi never worked. But, regardless, it was worth the stay and we will be back.

I have no complaints! I enjoyed my stay and will come back to visit again.

Room was nice, hotel clean and welcoming. Staff was courteous and professional. Definitely would recommend.

I was staying solo, so the queen bed was just fine. Great location. Everyone I encountered was professional and helpful.

Clean hotel, staff is like family to each other!! Refreshing to see!!

Thanks for letting us know how you enjoyed your recent stay with us. I do apologize for us not providing notice prior to your arrival on the new expansion project and the resulting pool closure. I wish we would have handled that differently. We are excited about the additional guest rooms, restaurant, lounge, fitness center, pool deck and spa, guest laundry, and other new amenities that are coming. We hope you will be patient with us during this time as we upgrade for our guests. .
