We arrived in the early evening and were greeted with a knowledgeable friendly desk clerk who was also a home grown local. Fresh scones, cookies and a bottle of sparkling wine added to our surprise. Perhaps, it was other places we stayed at on our trip along the state, but the Inn is a standout. The property delightful and restful. The pool and hot tub clean, accessible and enjoyable. The vegetation everywhere added to our relaxation. The room was roomy, clean and the full kitchen was a welcome surprise. Finally, we didn't feel cramped. Parking was easy. We didn't have to pay extra for this or that. We wanted to stay more days, but were on a schedule. Of course, we'll be back.

The room i was given was more like a two bedroom aparment I diffidently would bring the family here next time I am in the Santa Barbara area.

Very quaint and perfectly located! Staff were very friendly!

I loved this hotel. It's my favorite hotel in Santa Barbara. Will stay here again. Nick at the front desk was extremely nice, helpful and attentive to his guests.

Front desk personnel was helpful and accommodating. The room however needs renovations it's very dated. Breakfast was basic.Nice garden. Vending machine oddly placed near lobby.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The hotel is one of two that are next to each other and run by the same people. It feels like an old run down motel. The room was okay but did not have enough the kind of modern amenities that one would expect. The evening staff was ok. The guy in the morning clearly did not care about guests. In short we would not return.

My goddaughter and I spent three nights at Inn by the Harbor. Check-in was a breeze with a very friendly staff. They informed us of the many extras, ex: breakfast, cookies and milk in the afternoon, wine and cheese in the late afternoon, DVD's and bicycles available for check-out. The room with two queen beds was perfect for two and the bathroom had been recently updated. We also had a kitchen which was great for making coffee, snacks, etc. Our room faced out to a garden and was only steps from the pool. Noise was minimal due to double-pane windows.

Excellent. Breakfast is awesome for contenental . The setting has sort of family orientation .

No privacy in room unless curtains are completely closed then nothing to see..didn't like public balcony

Easy parking, clean and spacious. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel was really nice and relaxing. Loved the complimentary foods they offered. The staff was great! Will come back for sure!!

Very pleasant stay, would return, or recommend. Neighborhood was a little sketchy, but convenient to State St, and downtown.

Good hotel with a good breakfast and very nice bed. Complimentary food is served in the afternoon, like cheese and cookies.

Nice central location but on a very busy street and parking lot was shared with a run down low income apartment complex. Rooms were quiet but in need of updating. Bathroom and kitchen very dated. Bathroom tile/caulk were grungy, grout discolored and didn't seem clean. Reception area really nice and the courtyard was landscaped really nice and gave a tremendous ambience. Pool was small but nice for kids. Bikes were available for checkout and happy hour and cookies provided. Breakfast was adequate. Overall, not great but not bad just middle of the road.

I stayed here for a night. The staff was very nice. It felt like a step up from a motel, but the staff added some nice touches such as wine and cheese and milk and cookies to give the place a more homey feel.

This is a very old place. The rooms are quite small. Uncomfortable bed. Shares a driveway/parking lot with an apartment building where strange people hang out in the carports. The staff however are the shining glory for the place- the front desk staff were cheerful and extremely helpful.

If you like comfort and don’t need modern amenities this is a fantastic hotel. We appreciated the comfortable bed, a kitchenette and that there was plenty of space in the room. The deluxe continental breakfast was sufficient to get the day started and they had cruiser bikes available for free for a nice beach ride. The only unfortunate part of the room was the bathroom was dated with the shower head being a bit low for taller guests. Overall it was a great stay and I would highly recommend it.

There was an efficient and friendly check in. The location was good with an easy walk to the harbor and wharf and it was close to historic State Street. In addition to the continental breakfast, this motel offered complimentary wine and cheese in the late afternoon. They also provided a complimentary bicycle. There was no view and the renovation of what had been an apartment building was fair at best.

This was an easy spot for enjoying the Harbor and Funk Zone of lower State Street downtown. The breakfast saved us tune and hassle too.

I stayed for 2 nights with my family. My wife and two daughters 13 and 8. We have two queen beds. Pros: 1. Great location and is walking distance to State street, etc. and 10 min drive to Butterfly beach. 2. Safe location. 3. Beds and bathrooms are clean. 4. Free wifi. 5. Laundry room is available. Cons: 1. The carpets are not clean. 2. Free breakfast was bad. 3. One of the chair in the room was broken and the cushion was sinking. 4. Very small swimming pool.
