room cleanness was excellent, hotel staff was courteous, and proximity to cedar point was good enough to walk, if ambitious.

This was a very comfortable stay for the price and distance . room was clean and lady at the front des was very friendly and warm . we did have a few bugs on the door but that's how it is in Sandusky . it's not an enclosed hotel so your door is accessible from the outside . I would stay here again . breakfast was available too . waffle makers and coffee fruit cereal things like that . have to get there early though . we didn't eat in the park at cp so we went out to dinner afterwards and its 5 min from the major restaurants .

Both nights of our stay we had bugs in our room specifically in our bedding. We reported this to the sraff and they half-heartedly said the would check it out. Nothing happened ad far as we could tell and there were no apologies or efforts to reimburse us for our poor experience offered. I will not stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.

The room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom was dirty and out dated.

Spent 2 days there. Would do so again. Staff very friendly.

The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to Cedar Point. I had to take my shoe off just to remove the spider webs covering the door to the hotel room. Once inside it looked nicer than we had expected, until we found Mountain Dew bottle caps underneath the bed and bobby pins in the bathroom. Spiders and other insects were also in the room and I had to remove what I could see. The staff was nice when addressing the concerns.

When we pulled in to check in, the maid was standing outside of a room with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. Two individuals pulled up looking like they were making a drug transaction. I was not comfortable staying there with my 3 children. We canceled and went to the Great Wolf Lodge instead.

OMG--take this off your list! It was old, run down and FILTHY. I could see daylight through the door and the bugs were horrendous. I did not feel safe. There were rusty waterspots on the ceiling and the bathrooms had mold in every corner. The pool was also dirty. The staff were great and the fourier looked recently rennovated. Boy was I shocked when I got into the room. We ended up getting our money reibursed (I hope) and then went to a different hotel.

The pool pump wasn't working the room was dirty very unhappy for the amount of money my family paid never again will we stay there or recommend it to anyone

My wife, daughter and myself went to Sandusky with other family for a trip to Cedar Point over the Fourth of July. The Baymont Inn was one of the cheaper hotels within 1/4 mile of the park entrance. At 123.00 dollars the room was clean but dated .We got there before check in and were allowed to put our things in our room..the staff was courteous and friendly but after returning from our trip we noticed no towels in the bathroom no coffee for the morning but then again don't expect much for that price.. just convienience in location to the park.

Sandusky is not known for having great inexpensive hotels, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Baymont. It is super close to Cedar Point. The staff was really nice and had some great information for visitors. The rooms have definitely been renovated and updated. It was really nice. The bed was very comfortable. It was much better than I was anticipating. I would definitely stay there again!

Very close to Cedar point and the room was not bad

Basic spot-- dated, but clean. No frills, but good enough for a night. There aren't really any super nice or modern places to stay around cedar point, so there is no reason to spend a ton. This place does the trick.

The hotel staff from the front desk to the housekeeper were friendly, cordial, and helpful. Breakfast was not too fancy but for a free meal, why complain? My kids LOVED the waffle machines and thank goodness they have two! All other hotels we've stayed in had one and we would all finish our meal at different times while waiting for waffles to cook. The only negative I have is that it searched with filters and wanted a hotel with a fitness room. They DO NOT have a fitness room. Otherwise, we had an enjoyable stay.

I'll begin with the positive side of things: the room and furnishings were nice, modern, and comfortable. So if you're simply looking for a sleeping room, this property could be a great find. However, understand that the building itself is very old and built in the old-style of "motels" i.e. you enter the groom directly from the outside, the bathroom facilities and hanger (no closet) are open and visible from the sleeping room. I had reserved two rooms: a king and two doubles. When we arrived, only doubles were available. The night manager was not well trained and had no idea how to make changes in their reservation/booking system. He also had very poor "people skills." In fact, there was nobody at the front desk when we arrived (~10pm) for 15-20 mins because he was the ONLY person on duty and he was doing something else. Bugs are constantly in the room because the room is entered directly from the outside and the property is adjacent to Sandusky Bay. Neither of our rooms were cleaned after our second night. The breakfast area is small and cramped, and they serve only a continental breakfast -- which is OK if they would've simply made that clear. Problem is that they're not near any breakfast restaurants -- you have to head south quite a way on Hwy 250 to find some. In short, if you're simply looking for a sleeping room with a comfortable bed, this could be your answer. If you expect a little more, I suggest you consider the newer hotels a little south of Sandusky on Hwy 250 near Sandusky Mall.

Great service. Friendly desk. Plenty of ice from two machines. Refreshing pool.

I had two separate rooms reserved side by side. We arrived around 8 pm. We got to our rooms and thought they were updated, contemporary style, but very and appeared to be neat. However, There were a ton of dead bugs on the carpet by the window, on the curtain and cobwebs by the ac unit with dead bugs sitting on it. We stopped by the front desk to advise and were told it's very common during the spring, they won't harm us. I'm sorry but it was disgusting. We went back to our room to find a live tick on one of the pillows. That did it. We cancelled our hotel and left after a hour. One side of the parking lot didn't have much lightning so we didn't park it in front of our room, we faced a dumpster from our hotel window. One other thing I didn't mention earlier is the toilet didn't work- flush and we asked for a plunger. It was handed to us vs offering to fix it and see why it didn't flush. Also, one of the double beds fitted sheets were torn and you can see about an 8 inch wide view if the mattress. Just didn't have a very good experience. I would recommend finding a hotel with the doors on the inside of the building.

I had Mosquitos all over in our room.. The front door wouldn't close all the way.. The tv wasn't hooked up.. And housekeeping didn't clean or make beds the next morning.

The room was very clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly. The close location to Cedar Point made it nice to be able to quickly get to bed after a long day of riding roller coasters. Definitely would stay here again

The hotel was very nice, clean, and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. When i booked this hotel i expected it to be closer to cedar point as it says it is only one block from it, this is not the case you will still need to drive to the park and pay for parking. The continental breakfast was awesome, had a ton to choose from. The Mexican restaurant next door was AMAZING!!!! Our plan was to eat somewhere on the water but we loved the place so much we went two nights in a row!!!
