Great breakfast, big waffles!! Comfy bed, super friendly staff

The room was adequate with a clean bed. It looked as if there has not been much interior maintenance done. The breakfast was inedible for me, because I have an allergy to corn and corn syrup. Every food offered contained corn syrup or corn products. Many of the guests looked as if they were on work release with one sleeping in a truck in the parking lot. Lots of morning smokers on the balcony that you could smell downstairs, just walking by.

good location, need more cleaning outside, better control of how many in a room. Breakfast is poor..all unhealthy choices.

If you just need a room this is the place if you want more look elsewhere. I guess I can say it's a room and that is pretty much all I need for I was out hiking and out doing things and all I need was a place to rest. It's was clean kind of smaller then expected and I was on the backside of the second building so it wasn't a room with a view if you like views of camper parking. It was a smooth check in and out. Breakfast was included but didn't bother got my food outside, nothing special so I guess I got what I paid for.

If you just need a room to sleep. Can't go wrong here. Does need a little bit more finishing work in the rooms, but I only slept there. Price was good. Lots of good places close to eat.

We had a great time, the staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. Had a fridge in our suite which was nice. Walking distance to good food spots

VERY grateful to the staff, who treated me kindly.

1. Right at busy freeway & roads. It is so noisy and hotel insulation can not reduce the traffic noise at night effectively. 2. It seems that my room is in the middle of renovation. Entry door has a 1/4" gap at bottom half which you can see through. 2. Carpet is old, making your barefoot dirty quickly.

First day the bathroom light sensor was horribly sensitive and the light turned on randomly throughout the night. I mentioned it to the front desk and they sent someone to repair it, didn't do any good. Had to sleep with the bathroom door closed or the light would wake us up all night long. The bathroom included a sign indicating if we wanted to save water and reuse our towels to keep them hung up and they wouldn't be washed. Towels were hung up but replaced every day (California currently going through a drought, why tell guests to hang their towels if you're going to replace them anyway). Ended up putting up the Do Not Disturb sign as it did not need to be cleaned daily. The bathroom sink was leaking. That was reported and fixed. The breakfast room was a complete mess. I blame messy guests for this but no hotel staff were keeping on top of the area to make sure it stayed nice. I even watched a child leave the hotel lobby in front of a worker, spilling apple juice all over the lobby floor and the hotel clerk did nothing about it and didn't clean it up. Same child spilled more in an attempt to open the door with juice in his hands and the clerk did nothing to assist. One front desk clerk was very friendly. As we stayed an entire week she would follow up with me on issues and was very attentive.

It was an overnight stop on the way from a visit in Del Mar to a visit in Fresno. It was adequate for that purpose.

I stayed overnight to attend my niece's graduation from California state university San Marcos . The hotel was nice and not far from the college. There is some slight noise from the traffic at some sometimes.

I stayed for a night due to the long drive. It's right off the freeway. The location where it's at is very convenient. There's alot of stores nearby within a mile or two. I noticed the room we stayed at had an UNEVEN surface/floor/ground throughout the room as well is the 2nd floor corridor hall-way. Breakfast was decent no complaints. I would stay again.

I enjoyed my trip in San Marcos. The hotel had everything I needed. Staff was very helpful. If I will go again I will be staying there again.

Nothing special. everything was just about adequate

no big complaints. friendly staff and plenty of parking space

Friendly staff, rooms need to be better maintained , rooms should be inspected for any broken items that need to be replaced before someone is given the room

The breakfast was great, they had a waffle maker, pastries, coffee, juice, cereal. It was a great surprise but I went in at 7am and there were a bunch of people there already. The room was ok, you can tell that the carpets need to be cleaned and the bed skirt was dirty and needed to be washed. overall, I would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay nothing fancy. Disappointed with breakfast, but staff friendly. Overall good experience. Would stay again.

The breakfast was sorely disappointing, aside from that, we were very pleased with the hotel overall. We will stay again. Staff seemed helpful, friendly and accommodating.

Although this is an older hotel I found that it had every thing that I needed. My room was convenient to the entrance, plenty of parking and my bed was very comfortable. Even tho it was located near the off ramp of 78, the heavy curtains dulled most of the noise. I found that being in the middle of San Marcos so much more convenient for my travels, I was able to get on and off 78, with out problems. Check in and out was so swiftly accomplished and staff very friendly. The breakfast choices offered were excellent and nicely displayed. Thank you for offering this hotel.
