This was our first time staying at Sandcastle Hotel, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was meticulous, the views were amazing for sunset, and the deck on the 3rd floor with the fire pit was ideal for s'mores. We will be back and will stay longer!
By far the best property at Pismo Beach. Closet to the beach with the best views and staff. Clean and well maintained. 🐂
Great hotel on the beach
Only location was great. Not that much like photos on the web. It was just like 2 star inn, not 3stars. I have paid 300 more but not worth it.

This is my second time staying here and i will be staying again next month. I really love that its near the beach!
Not overly welcoming. Had just stayed in two places where warmly greeted, cookies, coffee, free wine/beer at happy hour, breakfast etc. - not at the Sandcastle. Instead: Coffee plus small bottle of water - 8 dollars. Small glass of mediocre wine 12 dollars. Nice place. Clean. Easy. But didn't feel the love.
Room was fairly clean. Bathroom needed a sweep and room needed a vacuum. Found hair under the plastic cups they give out. Other than that it was a good stay.

My friend assumed a few things and she was wrong, or times changed. No Pool. No Hot tub. Parking wasn't free but $20 added per day. No free breakfast. The TV only played basic cable and HBO. The On Demand didn't work and the TV isn't blue tooth so you can't stream from your phone/iPad. The walls were very thin. Same with the ceiling. I could hear pounding feet after 10pm. And music from the room room next door. If you didn't get to the three fire pits by 4pm, I doubt you'd get to sit there at all. Seems like when one family sat there, they took it over for the night. Bring a space heater and a long extension cord for your own balcony instead! We liked that they had free bikes to use. The location is great. The parking was easy. We had to ask for toiletry refills and clean towels but that's not an issue. Easy walk to the beach, the pier and the main road for food and entertainment. I'd look abit harder for a place to stay that offered more amenities before staying there again, for the price they charge. But its fairly convenient. And they supply ear plugs.

I was expecting this property to be like the pictures. I was so excited and looked forward to my stay. It turns out the location has two buildings, the building advertised has nicer rooms and furnitures. The other building is worse than a motel. The furnitures are very old and the mattress would sink in when I laid down on it. I regret my stay and I’ll never stay there again. And you have to have for parking as well. Which I didn’t mind, but I was very disappointed in the room that we received. I should’ve read believed the bad reviews on here
