You get what you pay for, bed was wobbly and super uncomfortable. The desk had dusk and the bathroom was very small. Last minute trip, on the plus note it is very close to the highway and close to a cafe.

About a foot-long swath of black mold was growing on the bathroom wall. Also black mold growing on the shower grout and on the floor in the corner by the shower.

Ok, just slept after the wedding we attended. Just an ok hotel.

This is not a luxury hotel in any sense of the word, but it's a decent place to stay for a night. The comforter was very thing and so were the pillows. I would bring my own if I ever stayed there again.

Room had various locations of poor repair work, Holes in walls, very loose faucet, broken shower head. Very poor lighting in bathroom. Shower/tub was very dark with all lights on. Very weak A/C unit. Parking lot was small and oddly shaped.

Hotel is very conveniently just off Highway 101, but I did not get any noise from the highway. For its price (I paid $40 for a night) it is excellent value. Not 5 start but the room was very clean and fresh smelling, bed was good with lovely crisp clean sheets. Internet fast, microwave, fridge and iron all supplied too. Complimentary saop, shampoo and coffee provided despite the bargain price. Lots of nearby food outlets so no reason to go hungry. Once again, America's Best Value has exceeded all my expectations.

Not comfortable

"Continental breakfast" consists of a loaf of stale bread & expired orange juice..ugh It has NO pool & the rooms aren't very clean..I had to change the linen, the one that was "fresh" had someone else's hair on it.Grosss, and the shower had other kind of hair in the tub, totally disgusting. I will never stay here again. Unfortunately, the location is excellent very highway accessible & close to a lot of quick eating but that was the only highlight of a dim & dingy stay :-( The hotel staff are non-existent so it leaves a lot to be desired.

This place was awful. Dirty, staff was beyond unfriendly. Service

needed a place to stay in slo for 2 nights. i didnt plan on staying at the hotel much as i had many things to do in town, so for $50 a night i got a clean bed and shower. good location a quick 5 minute walk to downtown SLO. room was a bit small though, i would only recommend 2 people max to 1 room.

Average

For $20 more could have stayed at a much nicer place. went for the price to crash when getting into town, a real mistake. Mold all over the tub area, and I mean chunks of black mold all over. Bed was hard as a rock and slanted so you felt like your feet were higher than your head - we actually turned around to sleep. Tub also didn't drain so you stood in your own shower water, no ammentities in the room at all. Only thing good was closeness to Pizza place.

The hotel was fine, relatively comfortable. The bathroom had a window in it, and the material that covers the glass to make it so you can't see through the window had been torn off, so I had to cover the window with a towel so I could take a shower. Also, when we got there, there was NO parking anywhere. We had to unload our bags and take them upstairs and then my boyfriend had to go park on the street, which I thought was annoying.

surprisingly quiet since it is located by the freeway ramp. beds were comfortable.

The gentleman at the front desk was polite. We booked this room as a last minute getaway from the fires here in Santa Barbara. The rooms look much better in the photos. Our pillow cases were stamped with "Cottage Hospital," and that was a bit freaky. The bed was awful and offered no support, it was the worst aspect of the room. If you need a quick cheap place to crash, this is suitable. If you are planning a long visit, I would suggest trying to find something that offers more comfort.
