Stayed here for two nights. Check-in was easy and quick. The room was a king, although small it was perfect for what we needed and an absolute bargain compared to everywhere else. Would definitely stay here again.

Great for bikers and hikers. Not fancy but good for a short stay for why you have gone to the San Juan Islands.

We enjoyed our stay. Room is small but adequate and very clean. Good value !

No frills hotel, more of a mom and pop place. Loved Cheryl that was running the place, she was super helpful. They don't have hair dryers in rooms, but will gladly give you one to use during your stay. They also don't have an ice machine on the premises, but you can grab a bag in town and keep in your room frig. The hotel is in a nice quiet place and shops and restaurants are a short walk away. So, not many amenities. . you get what you pay for, but we enjoyed our stay.

If you plan on enjoying all the island has to offer, and just need a place to sleep, The Orca Inn is awesome. The owners/managers were both very nice & accommodating- especially the woman. She was super nice, friendly and helpful. The room (deluxe queen) was perfect- extremely clean & safe, and plenty of room. The beds were comfy. The price was awesome. We were pleased and opted to stay again on a whim as we had so much fun we just couldn't leave as planned. Ill definitely recommend this place to friends/family.

Unbelievably tiny rooms, a three min. limit to hot water for showers, and lack of basic amenities at a very high price. That's what you'll get when you book Orca Inn. I'll sleep in my car and save $100 hard earned dollars next time I visit the beautiful island.

Very small rooms. The bed was strangely placed in the center of the room because of the air conditioner. The staff was nice but definitely not worth the amount I paid nightly.

Was in town for two days and needed a place to lay our heads

Room was small, but sufficient for an overnight stay, and that's all I needed. Safe neighborhood. Right next to a grocery store. Good value.

Perfect overnight stay. Room was clean n bed comfy!

Overall it's a decent place. You get what you pay for. Small room, decent bed and shower. No real complaints on that given the price point. Unfortunately they force you to lock your bike outside in an unsecured location. But they don't tell you this upfront anywhere (or in their policies listed on the web), so once you get there you're out of luck. So if you are bringing a bike or plan to rent one I'd avoid this place.

The hotel room is clean and it is only minutes away from the Ferry. The front desk staff is very helpful. The room is a bit small and it reminds me a room on the ship.

Perfect room for exploring all day, hot shower, and air conditioning. Yes, rooms are small but, extremely clean, no smell, and clean sheets. Quiet!! Great room for sleeping. If you want to stay in the room all day and watch tv with fancy wallpaper, and $$$, then try someplace else.

Room was too small for 2 people. The bed was against the wall on one side. The shower made a horrible high pitch noise and fan/ light in the bathroom raddled. It felt more like an old dorm room than a hotel.

this hotel provided the basic needs for overnight stays at a best in Friday Harbor price.

I stayed on the island with my girlfriend and we went hiking for the day and later had a romantic dinner. The Inn was not what we expected at all. It was smaller than we thought but very clean. It was pretty quiet as though there were minimal occupants the weekend we visited. Great and friendly staff. Would stay again!

Take it for what it is. A place to sleep. With so much to do and see in Friday Harbor that's all you need. So the inn is a perfect place to stay on a budget.

The Orca Inn is a great base to see Friday Harbor from. It's a 20 minute walk from the ferry and less to all of the quaint places to visit. It's next door to a large, locally supplied super market with local produce and very friendly staff. Speaking of staff, the staff at the motel were outstanding, providing tips on where to go and what to see. The room was clean but spartan. It did include a fridge, microwave, free wi-fi and TV. a good place to sleep after a day of adventuring.

OK, so it's not a Michelin caliber facility, but that was not my expectation. It was the only available place for less than $400 for a quick night's stay so we bit the snob bullet, and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The staff was very accommodating to upgrade our room and to our delighted surprise, the two-queen room also came with two full bathrooms! Everything was immaculate and the wood panel walls were proud statements of humble background. Not pretentious, but clean, quiet, comfortable and real sweet service. (The proprietor's mother makes Orca cookies every day and while I didn't bite this offering, it was a sweet touch.) When we checked out and I left my Kindle behind, they called me to retrieve it but when I told them I was in line for the ferry and could not turn around, they brought it down to the ferry. Who does that these days? Well, the Orca Inn does. Love.

We stayed only one night and wished it was a longer stay. Enjoyed the two bathrooms available in the comfortable double bed room. Efficient use of space. We had privacy & convenience for three persons. The location was convenient to town. A swimming pool is the only amenity, to be perfect !!! Our Road Scholar Program was the reason for our visit.
