Loved the location is very nice, beautiful view, ocean, and rainforest. It is a bit overpriced for the amenities. We had very little water pressure, difficult to shower and flush the toilet. We also didn't have hot water. If you stay here, keep in mind you will not have any of the basic needs, no coffee maker, no ironing, no guest services, etc.
It was an awesome experience !!! We visit the hacienda as a request of our daughters for a first horseback riding as a bday wish. The overall experience overcome our expectations. We take the one hour ride and we all love it the 2 guides were amazing and very patient with our daughters. Horses were very gentle and safe. After the ride we definitely want to book a 2 hour ride or the beach ride. The restaurant had a great ambiance and the food was delicious. All the staff was welcoming. Ismar was great and pay attention to every detail. They even sing happy bday to our daughter ❤️. We recommend the hacienda and we will return.
Among all the inconveniences that occur during our family stay. The only attendant to the facility repeatedly stated that the owner (in third person) policies she must follow regardless of the situation. There was one night that we could not get into the property due to lack of attendance. All in all a poor experience super pricey!
This past weekend our family stayed in this wonderful boutique hotel. The rooms were very spacious, well kept in excellent conditions. The atmosphere was delightful and magical. Beautiful views. Highly recommended R Diaz
I made reservations to what I thought was going to be a great hotel. We arrived on 2/18/17. We arrived later than expected, I was trying to call the hotel and got no answer. I kept getting a recording with a number that when dialed also wasn’t answered. We arrived to the hotel at about 9:30pm. At arrival there was a man waiting for us. He said they were waiting for us because they were leaving and had to give us our key for our room, hotel side door and outside gate. Also informed us workers leave before 10.00pm and don’t come back until the next day by noon. Restaurant and bar were closed and no management is on property. We asked if there was a number that we could have incase we had to contact management and he said no, we would have to wait until the afternoon to speak to someone. We asked him what time was check out and he said we just had to leave the key on the bed. It made us feel very uncomfortable. At arrival, we had no toiletries in room. We were 2 guests in room and we had 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel. Air conditioner and TV were not working properly and we had no Wi-Fi in the room. Since there is no one on the premises we couldn’t inform anyone until the morning. Next day we informed them what was wrong with our room. We were moved to a second room. The air conditioner wasn’t working at all in this room. So then they moved us to a 3rd room. We left to go sightseeing. When we arrived back to the room so we can relax in the room, the TV wasn’t connected. It had not wiring and cables connecting the TV. It was just a TV for display without connection. the restaurant was close and so was the bar. When I went to see if anyone was on the premises, there were 2 employees cleaning the closed restaurant and bar they said we have to wait till Morning. That night we decided to make reservations for the 3rd night at a different hotel. Two days of horrible service was enough. We expect better service and expect to have staff on the premises incase problems arise. That night I went on my phone and logged onto Booking.com and made a reservation to a different hotel. In the morning I called Booking.com and informed them of my problem and told them we would be checking out. Booking.com tried contacting the hotel while I was on hold and they were unable to reach anyone. I was told to check out and that I would receive an email responding to my problem. We packed our bags and left the key on the bed like we had been informed by Management when we had arrived.
Beautiful view, Terrible service, Room not clean from the beginning till the end :( porch with the view to "The Rain Forest" not clean spider webs all over i can go on... Restaurant not in service, Pool not in service, Private party took over all the parking space for the guest blocking the entrance towards my room.. Want a great view? Just drive up take a picture and Leave! :) I was promise a discount for our inconvenience... Guess what? Never got it
This place right off of PR-3 West. There are some decent restaurants close by. The El Yunque entrance is near by as well. Ocean is a little far off but you can see it from the room. Bring your own supplies - some groceries for early morning coffee / breakfast (the restaurant downstairs is open only from Wednesday to Friday) Overall it is a very quiet and nice place. We stayed for two nights and it was a nice experience. The management is nice and friendly too. We got here late in the evening and the owner called us to give directions and came by to check us in. If you are coming, follow signs for La Cava hotel/restaurant all the way to the top of the hill. My only recommendation - some more basic amenities like napkins, coffee mugs, extra towels would greatly improve the experience. We would definitely return to stay here on our next trip!
We had a wonderful stay at this Inn, and we happened to be the only guests for our 2 day stay! It was a perfect home base to explore the area. The staff was helpful and courteous, the room was clean and spacious, and the view was breathtaking. Highly recommended!
The Resteraunt LaCava is incredible.... a hidden gem! This is quite likely the best service I have ever received in Puerto Rico, we had a wide selection of tapas including the beef crustini, the chicken and cheese empanadillas, Maui bites with mustard sauce, the shrimp mufungo, both kinds of flan and the best "old fashion" cocktail I've ever had. The beef was buttery and tender, the empanadillas savory and beautifully seasoned, the fish was fried but not at all greasy and the flans perfect! Honestly I can't think of any constructive criticism. The hotel is quaint, offers an incredible view and is impeccably clean. It does need some fine tuning with the plumbing and bathroom lighting. At this price point I would expect a few more amenities like bath products and a blow dryer. The staff though is awesome and will get you anything with in their power and THE VIEW from the rooms and lovely pool are awesome! Bring a wrap though, it's about 15• cooler on the mountain!
This is a beautiful location overlooking the ocean, and close to El Yunque National Park. This hotel would be best for a couple, less so for a family. We went with 3 adults and a 12 y/o. It advertises that it sleeps 4, but not really. To their credit, when I called, I was warned the second bed was a futon so I realized it might not be ideal for my step daughter of 31 and my daughter of 12. The main bed was a king and we slept 2 adults and the 12 y/o in it with an adult in the loft area. The loft is probably great for kids, but an adult can't stand up in it. Another important feature is the AC. It's actually on or off even with the thermostat working. When it turns on it's cold and VERY loud (through the night). When it's off it's very quiet. Which leads to the next interesting detail...the door to the bathroom is louvered like a cabana door. Luckily the fan is fairly loud. A louvered (top to bottom) bathroom door?! Really? This place is very hard to find. GPS won't get you all the way there. If you have a phone and can call during the allotted hours of 3-6 you're good. We had to get there after that time and they say to call and arrange to meet someone at the hotel. The woman who we had to meet had "to meet with a client" between 7 & 9 so we had to circle the place until then. Luckily we ran into the owner in her nearby bar who straightened things out. Once we were set up the stay was pretty good for the most part. There are very good nearby restaurants and "kiosks".
