    Amazing place to stay

El Hotelito is an amazing place to visit. Jenefer's kindness and hospitality is wonderful. The views are spectacular and the flowers that grow on the grounds are stunning. You can even take a walk down a trail, which when we went, was guided by one of there adorable dogs :) They have 5 and each one is lovely! The road to the estate is not as bad as a few people claimed. Go slow and drive with caution making sure to keep the tires on the highest points... (we made it up NO PROBLEM in a COMPACT KIA rental multiple times) The Coqui frogs bring the rainforest alive at night and is a sound that must be heard. We had such a great time, we stayed one more night.

    Off the grid

If you want to go off the grid this might be the perfect place but be aware of the following: The view from the rear of the hotel is awesome the room is large and the bed is comfortable. There are no power outlets in the rooms,TVs or a refrigerator If you want to power your electronic you have to do it in the common space. There are 5 friendly dogs and they do sit on the common space furniture and I did find dog poop in the common area. You have to bring your own ice they will not give you any even for any drinks you bring with you. There is a $10 cork fee to drink in the common area ( might be per bottle). If you want dinner you must order mid day. Above all the road is exceptionally rough. I got my Econ rental up the road but damaged the front bumper. Get a vehicle with high clearance and 4 wheel drive. When it is wet the road is not for the faint of heart. I live in rural PA and I think I’m a good judge of what a bad country road looks like and this is a bad country road. I strongly advise that you do not try it at night. I was able to get WiFi in my room on the first floor-not sure if it works in the upstairs rooms. The frogs are really noisy but I doubt you find a place in the rain forest where they don’t exist.

This is a nice and quiet place , the view is amazing , you definitely need a Jeep to get there because part of the road gets really bad when there is rain. Overall we had an amazing time , the people Were very welcoming and friendly . I definitely want to come back soon ...
