This hotel was built to support one of the world's fairs. It is very convenient to city center Sevilla. The rooms are interesting. You enter and you have a full bath and a living room on the first floor, and a loft bedroom with a half bath. We were with a large group so we had the buffet in a special area. The menu was very diverse and everything was exceptional.
Although your in Sevilla your out of the hassle of parking and the tourist traps ,this hotel is luxurious and cheap with a bar terrace and pool overlooking old Seville ,great service when you find a member of staff ,food in restaurant classic Spanish ,great ham jamon iberico and wines of the region ,quiet rooms and big and comfortable the views exceptional over the city easy free parking which is rare in Seville
we spend 1 night in the hotel.the hotel was big and nice but lot of stairs case.it was problem for our group to carry begs to our room. The rooms were very far from lobby. They only provide ram to dining room only.
The hotel is was fantastic the only thing is a bit far way from the town center, nice big area with fountais and plans to seat around, nice bar , very friendly nar attenden . Afew restaurante serving a big selection of hot and cold breackfas and cakes,
The room was in bad shape. Needs remodeling. Staff was very unhelpful and rude. The room had no instructions on how to reach the different hotel facilities, to the point I had to use my cell phone to call the hotel main number, in order to acquire the instructions. I was promised a pamphlet that never arrived. The minibar was empty, not even a bottle of water.
I live in Spain and have been to Seville previously but just for the day, I decided to book a weekend away for my mother who was coming to stay. I booked through Travel Republic, having used them many times, I had stated that a room with a walk in shower was essential. I then followed up by phoning the hotel to ensure we did get the correct room. They asked me to confirm my requirements by email which I did, however on arrival and after checking in, we had a bath rather than a walk in shower. The staff on reception were very good and quickly allotted us the disabled room which was a lovely large room. Positives about the hotel were the staff, who were friendly, helpful and professional, lovely bedroom and lobby area, the restaurant was also very nice. We were on a half board basis and found the food very average, slightly perplexed at breakfast when the previous evenings vegetables and rice dishes appeared, I was not quite sure which nationality the food was aimed at. The drinks in the hotel were very reasonably priced, pool and outside areas nice. We were a little concerned at the flooring in the disabled room which was wooden slats and very slippery, something I would say needs replacing. The parking in front of the hotel was free, huge bonus. I would stay in this hotel again.
TRH Alcora is a huge hotel that is located a slight drive into the city center, but don't fret, the hotel provides a shuttle into town. For 2 euros per person you shuttle to the center and back, this is a one time fee (I did not know that until later), so save your form. Make sure you purchase the breakfast plan, well worth the price. The pool was huge and pristine and the members of the staff were very nice. This hotel is a tremendous value and a great place to stay.
One of the best hotels I have stayed considering the price range. The check in was quick however to reach the room was quiet a task mainly due to the fact that the hotel is humongous. The room was a kinda duplex and it was the first time I was staying in such a configuration. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. The buffet spread was elaborate and good. The best thing about the place was it was very close to a huge supermarket so we could stock up and shop for our travel. Over all a nice place to stay.
We stayed two nights in the hotel. First of all, if you have big luggage you will have to carry them up and down some stairs (well there is a lift for disabled people, so you could use it too). The reception was ok, the hotel looks impressive and nice at a first glance. It probably was very nice some years ago. We went to our room (n°1018) and I was disgusted by the dirtyness of the carpet. We complained, and got another room, much bigger and with wooden floor which looked clean. The room (n°1013) was way nicer, and relatively quiet (although you could still hear the highway which is really close). Would have appreciated a clean balcony and a sink in the bathroom which was not clogged. To summarise very nice room but could be a bit better taken well of. Next day, we went to the pool. The grass near the pool was flooded, not exactly what you would expect. So could be a nice hotel if it was better taken care of... Besides that, the cleaning lady was very nice as well as the shuttle driver (you can only go by car or shuttle bus to the center). The last shuttle is at 21:00 so to enjoy Seville by night you'll need to come back by taxi/car. The breakfast was ok but we had better.
This was my second stay in the hotel and must say first stay was more pleasant. I work in Fraser Suites Edinburgh (4 star serviced apartments) as a receptionist so I do not complain unless if I have a real reason to. My boyfriend booked a large number of rooms for Tumba y Tumbao dance festival. Whilst I understand how stressful it can be when the hotel is full of uncontrollably enthusiastic dancers the amount of mistakes happened was a big downside. After checking in we went to rooms on second floor with couple of other people to find out that our rooms are not even ready and poor housekeepers were stressing out so we just apologised and asked if we could leave our bags which seemed to be fine, other rooms did the same. Later on the hotel was experiencing power cuts which completely messed up with their system so they couldn't check in other people from our group for a long time. Although we were all laughing and having dinner in a romantic candle light and the waiters were trying their best. Although I understand it's not the hotels fault but they could have been better prepared for emergency situations. The last thing that really put me off was when I booked additional night through their website, I went to reception to ask if we could stay in the same room and after checking my confirmation, the gentleman at reception confirmed that it's OK and told me to pay in the morning when I check in again. Next morning I went to reception and I was ready to pay €96 for my stay as stated on confirmation but the man at reception said it's too much and asked for €60, I reconfirmed but then he asked of that's a problem, I asked if That's with breakfast and then he corrected and said with breakfast it would be €75, I checked again and showed him my confirmation and he just said €75, I said ok and paid then I asked him for invoice or receipt but he said to come back in the evening. I asked again as I really wanted to see if everything is correct but he just ignored me and as I was in rush to get the city bus, I left. Me and my boyfriend returned after midnight and I asked for invoice again, the gentleman didn't speak good English and he just showed it on the computer and then I noticed that the name on it is Shan and not my name. I told him my name is not Shan and he was just confused. I requested him to find my name on system and the he showed that I'm in room 4038, when all my stuff were in 2038, he asked me to come back with my credit card so he could check me in in the other room but I told him I paid already. His answer was "I don't know it, my colleague knows and I have to speak to him" so you can imagine my shock when I was thinking that I've paid for someone's room with cash and they will charge my card on top of that. Anyway in the morning I came down again, asked for my bill yet again another receptionist confirmed that in 2038 which I spent the night in, is Mr Shan. I asked him to find a reservation under my name and he said I'm not there. I asked him again to check cancellationa, no-shows, check ins and check outs and all he found was my old reservation that was maid by my boyfriend. I asked him in that case to change the reservation to my name and print out an invoice. He quickly made a phone call and in Spanish asked if he can do it "I assume it was a manager" and then he did it. I'm sorry it's such a big essay but I hope you can understand my disappointment. The only reason I'm giving it 4 star is because of my last stay last year, the housekeepers doing a great job and overly staff are pleasant and I will come back next year for next festival.
