Nice staff, clean, nice gym, restaurant ok, nice room,

Great cchotel, slept well, enjoyed the lobby music and food

Very nice hotel. Our room was very clean and spacious. Convenient location that is within walking distance to restaurants. The only complaint is the valet parking is very expensive, but can use public parking for less.

Very Glam, king size bed, puffy robes, courteous staff, great experience.

Family of 4 with young kids booked this hotel based on previous, positive reviews. Mostly positive experience--checkout was a breeze (less than 5 minutes!); we were greeted by a nice birthday dessert plate and card (very much appreciated); our previous request for a high floor room was granted (thank you!). The grounds and atmosphere were beautiful and mostly, relaxing. We loved the pool area. We would have loved it even more had it not been for a group of college-age party goers monopolizing the pool area. Not only were they loud and obnoxious, they also brought a boom box playing at what seemed like the highest possible volume; they were also drinking and swearing profusely. This eliminated any relaxation that we were hoping to gain on this trip. Lastly, I agree with previous posters. If you choose to employ their valet service, call ahead. Upon arrival at the garage, there was a very long queue. We were also inadvertently charged double for use. This was quickly reversed at the front desk. A bit of a hassle but not a big deal. All in all, I would stay here again. It really is a nice hotel whose staff really go the extra mile.

Convenient location, lovely hotel. Nice little clock on nightstand that needed batteries when I checked in and still needed them when I left. Disappointed in the cocktail lounge service - the waitress ignored me for almost 15 minutes and only had about 5 tables occupied, none with more than 2 people. She wanted my drink and food order simultaneously, while I preferred a drink first. Brought my drink with no coaster or napkin, and didn't bring a napkin or utensils.then she went on a break and another waitress took over. Waitress 2 was much more professional, took my food order, brought me the missing coaster, napkin, utensils, and water and spoke to me. Sadly, the first waitress returned to give me the bill. I would have preferred to give most of the tip to the second one, but couldn't do it on the bill. Waitress #1 also never came back to pick up the check so I walked up to her where she was chatting with #2, and pointed out that a woman alone might not be comfortable leaving her check with name and room number on the table. I'm not sure that she understood my point.

The valet workers were super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Location is perfect downtown, close to everything. Service requests were not met.On check out I explained problems .Lots to do in the area and can walk to everything.

Towels provided were not very clean contrary to what would be expected of Fairmont.

Great hotel in walking distance to all the major restaurants and bars downtown SJ. Clean room and a very friendly staff. For being a 4 star room I expected to receive free wifi and a mini fridge which I could use. Instead the Fairmont charges $15 for a day use of wifi and fills the in-room fridge with over priced mini-bar bottles and small snacks. Minor inconvenience but for the money it seems like those things should be pretty standard.. Also they require a $100 credit card deposit on all rooms (not mentioned anywhere)

This is my third time staying at the Fairmont, and I have had a consistently good experience. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is beautiful and in a convenient location. The price can range, depending on the day, but is generally a good value for your money.

Already used in the past. The location is the best in San Jose. Great service and high level rooms.

Hotel is a blend of the "classic" and the "new"giving you a choice to stay in the older established building or the newer addition. Win-Win either way

Christmas in the park was right out front. We got. Upgrade for a decent price. Just ask when you check in. We loved our suite

Very nice place, room was spacious and clean. very nice gym facilities. Definitely recommend

Paid a lot for a room that I expected to be more luxurious. Good location but ultimately I felt it was not nearly as special a stay as I was hoping for a big birthday weekend. No vanity kit in the bathroom to older bath tub left me feeling cold. Speaking of cold. ..the hot water kept dropping out! Seriously!? There was also a champagne debacle, I'd ordered some with chocolate strawberries as a birthday surprise. ..it took 6 HOURS to get it. ... obviously they got lost in the shuffle. Wanted more!

to exspensive, no internet access as it said on the internet. i didnt say you had to pay $.25.00 a day for parking. none of this was disclosed. very disappointed, the girl at the front desk was very rude, wish I new her name.

We needed a hotel close to the airport and the baby shower we were attending. The Fairmont fit the bill perfectly. The hotel is imposing and grand, the rooms are good sized, the service is impeccable, and the value for money is very hard to beat. We made a good choice.

This Hotel was plush, and absolutely ultra clean. The room was spacious and we'll stocked with drinks and snacks. The bathroom had plenty of towels and robes. I have to say again, the absolute cleanest and most comfortable hotel. Sure it costs 20 whole dollars more than some if the other hotels next door but it is still extremely affordable and so worth it.

Really enjoyed my stay, can't wait to go back to this establishment, I had so much fun, and it was wonderful walking right outside to the Jazz festival, all of the fun is centered around this hotel, can't get any better than that. And the room was exceptional, large, roomy, clean and the bed was quite comfortable, the staff was over the top...
