Had a nice welcome by the very welcoming gentleman at the front desk. Got to my room and settled in but noticed a large machine right out side my door that the was extracting water from the room RIGHT across the hall from mine (Light noise But was noisy). Had a decent nice sleep on a fairly firm bed. Woke up the next morning and went for a walk, returned to have some breakfast with friends to a very inexperienced restaurant host. We got up and left, and went somewhere else. Got back to room to same machine outside the door, but now the contractors were there working in the hall, and hard at it to say the least.. Power equipment, saws, hammers.. VERY loud, extremely graphic language and yes right out side my room. I also had plugged in all of electronics to an outlet that now (unbeknownst to me) had the breaker been popped due to the overload from the power equipment and all of my electronics were run down to zero or gone completely. I was also trying to have a nap, that didnt happen because of the noise. Well now our day was underway and I went down to respectively ask for for some compensation or a reversal of charge. They did offer to move me to another room , but i respectively told them that I was going to be gone the rest of the day and that I didnt need a take up a new room as the damage had already been done and they should save that room for someone else.. Anyway, left it to their management team to decide how to handle my challenges. They gave me an $11 credit. DONE!!

the reason for my bad review was the heating system. Everytime the heater came on it was so loud it woke you up. The noise interfered with our sleep waking us up all thru the night. Called the front desk for more coffee the night before and it was never delivered. It was also annoying to have to pay so much to have your car parked.

Nice room with espresso maker. Gym was pretty decent but no freeweights or pool. Fun bar with jazz occasionally. I took advantage of the free midnight snack box one evening.

Overall it is great. The only thing needs to be improved is the AC. Has loud noise when it is cooling.

Enjoyed stay very much, historic hotel in a nice area

, To whom it may concern, The room was very noisy. I was able to hear people screaming on the street until 4 in the morning. When I checked out the gentleman took several minutes and asked from my rum number 5 times. He then went to retrieve my car. Brought back a different car and tried to give it to me. Then he told me that I gave him the slip with the wrong number. I told him it was a Lincoln he brought back a Cadillac. Then he told me it was on the street. We could not find the car. He final did find the car and brought it back to the hotel. It took a full hour of him walking back and forth. My father was also staying in the hotel and reported issues with his bathroom that were never correct. I would not stay their again.

We checked in pretty late but the staff was pleasant, helpful and wanted to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. I really appreciated the sandwich/snack bar which was complimentary. the room was pretty small given the rate but the hotel was beautiful and luxurious, which was quite appealing to me.

Stay was very nice in order to keep their rating they need to do some renovation soon.

Stayed here to go to a show at the SAP arena. Great location - short walk to venue and I was able to leave my car with valet all day after checking out. Super nice and helpful staff.

Great location walking distance to San Pedro Square. Very nice place.

Very classic hotel. Feel like a step back in time. The rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable. Late night snacks available, and the lounge is luxurious with high wooden ceilings, comfortable couches, and live music on Wednesday through Sunday.

THis hotel is unique. The free food pantry is one example. The rooms are clean and modern as well as luxurious. THe location is within walking distance to the San Jose Sharks and a quick drive to the airport.

I stayed @ Hotel De Anza with my boyfriend in order to attend my 25th HS Reunion. Since the hotel that the reunion was being held @ (SJ Hilton) booked so quickly, I was able to find that Hotel De Anza was walking distance from the SJ Hilton, which made it effortlessly. Great hotel, location (close to San Pedro Square for dining) & easy access to both Hwy 101 & Hwy 87!

We had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms are very nice. They had a great movie collection that you can rent for free. Very quiet also.

Very enjoyable visit. The staff attended us well. Upon arriving the room was very clean. The bathrooms were amazing (tv and lots of mirrors included!) The bed was comfortable. Loved that it was in a great location. Thanks!

My last visit to this hotel was not pleasant but i did decide to give this place another shot. we were very pleased with the service that we received this time around. We were checked in quickly and the gentleman that checked us in was very helpful. Once inside the room we realized we needed a key to open the refrigerator, so we called the gentleman and let him know that we would be down to pick it up. He then let us know that he would personally deliver it to our room. Overall, we were happy that we decided to stay with this hotel one more time. We will be returning. Thank you for letting us enjoy a night out downtown!

I have stayed at the DeAnza multiple times through the years when I have had to travel to San Jose for business. I have stayed at other hotels in the area but the DeAnza is very nice, comfortable, warm and inviting. I would recommend it to anyone traveling to San Jose.

Within walking distance to all downtown destinations. Nice jazz lounge downstairs. Good city view if you get the upper floors.

I surprised my husband with a night away from the kids. Nice that hotel is in walking distance to restaurants. Hotel staff was friendly and professional and room was fine. Free wireless was a big plus! Dessert and drinks in the bar downstairs were delicious. I only wish they had a pool or hot tub.

The staff was good. The hotel is on the older end of hotel. A little re modeling is due.
