The hotel needs to be maintained in better shape. Outside hallways leading to rooms are dirty. The rooms look nothing like the pictures online.

Bizarre place. Poor attempt at flipping an old building into a "modern" hotel however, the cheap retro furniture could not makeup for the tiny cramped spaces, old plumbing and unmotivated staff. There's no room service so its more like ado it yourself motel.

I had left a piece of my clothes at the hotel I called to report this and was happy to receive a return call saying they had found this! Great!

Conveniently located near freeway. Pleasant and swift assistance by staff.

This hotel is affordable, clean, quiet and near the convention center. Walmart is nearby for misc needs Free parking I recommend this quaint hotel. Pool is nice clean and again quiet.

This place was modern and very cute! Awesome accommodations and rooms. Will definitely be back

great place we stayed here as it was close to Great America and the best part of the trip wa sthis hotel!! the restayraunt next door was great as was the Pool!

Avatar is an adorable hotel. Super stylish with a cute little modern twist. The price was great and the place has obviously been renovated. Great stay!

Not enough parking spaces, they sent me to a hotel down the block to park, and then there was not enough room there. Room was in very poor condition, smelled old, bathroom had peeling paint. Not a good place to stay. We had two kids with us, arrived about midnight and if we were not so tired, we would have looked for another hotel. The only good thing was that it's across the street from attractions and you can walk to the baseball stadium. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Hubs and I flew up to Santa Clara just for the Chargers/Niners game at Levi's Stadium. We didn't need a car for anything but getting to and from the airport. There's an IHOP attached to the hotel. In & Out is about a 10 minute walk if you cut through the business parking lots. Levi's stadium is 15-20 min with lights. If we had stayed a little longer guarens we'd have gone to Great America which you hit before Levi's Stadium. Great location. Right across the street is a small strip of convenience stores (donut shop, liquor store, nail salon, bagels) so it's perfect if you're here for an event or for Great America. Staff was super friendly. Room was clean and bigger than most rooms in San Francisco. I agree it's a little motelish since you can't really open your blinds without the people in the hallway seeing you and it being open air but just keep your blinds closed. You shouldn't be in the hotel during the day anyway.

not bad for a stay near santa clara convention center.

Staff and hotel was awesome... thank you will return again.

Recommended stay for a family. Great pool and amenities. Stylish!

I was very happy with my stay, great room and location for the price. Not to mention the free parking and no charge for dogs, good luck finding that anywhere else! They also provided a free baby crib and had it in the room before I even arrived. I would recommend this place to anyone. I don't see how people have rated this place so lowly. Some people are never satisfied I guess.

This is a standard courtyard hotel, but has recently been renovated for stylish looks. And they have fast internet.

The Avatar is a very clean hotel with a nice fitness room and pool area. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our only complaints were that: 1) the room we reserved for three was extremely cramped and we had nowhere for our bags so we were constantly jumping over our bags and each other, and, 2) The small pull-out sofa that our son slept on was incredibly uncomfortable. The staff did accomodate us in regard to this by providing some extra blankets for him to sleep on top of which did help the problem. Overall we felt it was a good deal for the price.

The kids enjoyed looking at the toy robots displayed in the hotel lobby. I was given a choice of which floor for my room and I chose the top floor (4th floor). The usual expected noises (street traffic, close by restaurant, pool goers, other guests walking by/talking) was considerably less because of staying on the 4th floor. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing lacking in the room was a microwave.

Checkin was quick friendly and helpful. I forgot toothpaste and the front desk gave me a small tube. Hotel has an attached restaurant with a good menu and a bar/restaurant chain across the parking lot. Quiet location but quick access onto freeway and approx 5min drive to SJC airport. Close to major attractions. Movie theatre restaurants and so shopping within walking dist. Room was very clean comfortable and quiet. Has a fun decor modern with a cartoon twist. Bit not over the top or Disney like. Outdoor pool a big plus and a good exercise room and activity room perfect for families! Definitely a place to stay!

The room was ok, but just like any other cheaper hotel. The modern decor was slightly better than the usual floral design you often get but didn't wow me. Rooms were very average. Nothing great. Room was not sparkling clean but clean enough. Pool area was nice but location of it, being right in front by the parking took it from "oh this is nice to oh ok never mind". there was garbage in the elevator. Was told no double bed rooms facing the pool. The only really good thing were the beds themselves. Very comfortable comforter and pillows. Otherwise just very ordinary and by the pictures online I thought it was going to be a little different and fun. disappointed.
