    Hotel Clariana 👎👎👎👎

My husband stayed in this hotel after his business meeting at Paso Robles on January 14. He was upset because he paid over $300 a night for this, shower didn’t work. He had to use glass to take a shower, just like in 3rd world country. This hotel should be removed from hotels.com before you get more bad review. The only reason why he didn’t raise this problem at the hotel manager at that time, he checked in late and he had to leave early the next morning to catch a flight back to Los Angeles. Bu the time he arrived in Los Angeles, he was buried with his work. He HAD no time until today. We were actually having a weekend in San Francisco and stay at Grand Hyatt downtown and pay only $250, the comparison is like heaven and earth he said.

I love staying in historic properties, and this hotel did not disappoint. The outside is charming and the inside has been renovated. Check in was efficient at the front desk, although my room key did not work to open the door of the room we were given, the hotel staff worked quickly to put us in a replacement room. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The bed was super cozy with the softest duvet - I slept very well. The snack basket on the desk was a nice touch, with good prices (most everything was $1) and a good assortment of snacks and drinks. The shower was a bit tricky, but the hotel staff did a great job of explaining how it works, and there was an info card on the bathroom counter with photos/instructions as well. I am a small female and traveled with my 13 year old son, walked to SAP Center from the hotel at night and back for a game, and did not feel unsafe at any point. There are a bunch of restaurants and bars close by, and this is a noisy area on a weekend night, but I was able to drown out the sounds of the late night bar crowd by turning the thermostat to "on" at a comfortable temperature which did the trick. The continental breakfast in the lounge area had a pretty good variety of food, which included fresh fruit, an assortment of hot and cold cereal, pastries, donuts, bread, bagels, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, packaged yogurt and drinks such as fruit juice, oj, coffee, ice water, and hot water with several flavors of tea.
