Everyone we met was really nice - staff and guests. Obviously a reflection of the atmosphere the respite has created.
We did not do the dinning plan, or resort trips, both seemed pricey heading into our stay.
We ended up eating at the restaurant almost every night anyway because the road getting in during the rain made it very slick to travel on and not recommended to travel after dark making dinner in San Ignacio unlikely. Another couple made a similar comment on their changing of dinner plans for the same reason. They also had their car break down on the route out of the resort - tough hill both ways.
We had a wonderful time exploring the botanic garden, using the tubes for a lazy river experience, and used the canoe to travel to the butterfly habitat at a the lodge near by. Also used our SUV (can’t stress how important a 4x4 is for the area) see the ruins and Barton’s Creek (treacherous route - seriously).
Great resort and attention to guests.
