Motion sensor light in bathroom turned off every 10 seconds and was not able to be disabled or kept on. The hotel was still under construction, so there were some areas that were not clean. We chose to skip housekeeping the first day to be environmentally conscious. Then the next 2 days we requested housekeeping as we were low on toilet paper, however, we only got a set of towels. No trash, making the bed, or refill of toilet paper was provided.

Bright clean room. Good location. Our room was right next to elevator so it was a little noisy.

Very nice remodel but it is really loud and bright in rooms from street noise. Hard to sleep.

It was close to everything we wanted to see. Market center, Golden gate, pier 39, and Chinatown—-for the price. You can be in a better spot but you will pay for it

We will stay here again.My wife was in the hospitol and i needed to sray one more night abd they hinwres my on line rate if $99.

Second time in the hotel and everything works well

There was a billing issue immediately after I checked in that ultimately came down to the woman who checked us in not understanding the process, So a needlessly stressful start to a vacation. The area the hotel is in is absolutely horrible, though I wouldn't say necessarily unsafe as long as you treat the area like any other city, i.e. don't interact with strangers, make sure your items are secured, etc. I didn't bring a car with me to park, so I cannot attest to the safety or quality of parking at the hotel, but I will say that even though you do have to pay $25 a day to park your car, that is much cheaper than most hotels I passed that have parking available. The room itself was a mixture between an absolute nightmare and comfortable. The bed wasn't very comfortable, very springy, but that's to be expected honestly. The sheets and everything seemed pretty new, though there was no fitted sheet, just a plain sheet tucked in. The fire safety of this building is a nightmare. There was no working smoke detector in the room, no emergency evacuation plan, and the stairs were not marked and I was never told where they were located. The door to the shower didn't close all the way as it was a tiny bit too big for the stall and the shower head was absolutely horrible. It seems like the rooms are going through renovations right now, so the shower head is forgivable, but the non-existant fire safety isn't. The balconies are decent but connected, so you need to keep the door locked.

Room was awful. I didn't expect much for the price but it was horrible! Beds awful, room was run down and dirty. We left early wasn't worth the stay.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly with my requests. The spot is close to everything and beats everybody's price.

The hotel is a few blocks through a rougher neighborhood from the nicest part of the city. If you don't mind walking during the day or taking a cab, you'll find a very nice set of rooms with a nice staff.

Must say that my initial contact with the manager and owner was very nice. I had to cancel my first booking due to health reasons no one at the hotel answered the phone the day of my reservation. I showed up the next day and showed them on my phone that I had called twice to inform them, so they honored my two day stay... I thought that was very fair. The room was large and a little out dated but would surfice for the rental rate. The heaters are out dated baseboard heaters and the "main" one wasn't working and there was a portable one also in the room. And there wasn't one in the bathroom. This was in the middle of January and the temps were in the forties. I alerted the management that the heater wasn't working. I had to wait an hour before someone came with another space heater. Once he came I told him that another space heater would be necessary for the bathroom he told me that more than two heaters would trip the circuit and that hotel bathrooms don't have heat. That may be the case in a modern hotel that is fully heated but not an outdated drafty room with inadequate heat to begin with. We were very tired and took the lone heater plugged it in and the circuit tripped and out went the lights and electricity. So we packed up our belongings got a refund and kept it moving. Also there was no fridge or microwave. Luckily we found a cheaper and much nicer room a mile or so away with great heat, a microwave, and a coffe maker!
