Super 8 San Francisco / Near the Marina

the only reason I booked this hotel was because they said they had free parking. In fact there were only a few spots, maybe only half the rooms could possibly have a spot. For three nights in a row I could not park in the hotel, had to park on the street. The third night I got towed, still fighting through protests with city on SF on this one. Do NOT believe the claim there is adequate parking here!

Disappointed with the stay, as there was only limited parking space and the heater was noisy and disturbed my sleep.

Only issues was that we could hear the upstairs walking around all night and tight parking spaces. Otherwise, pleasant stay.

The room itself was small, or maybe it just seemed that was because there was a king bed taking up the majority of the space, but it did have a fridge, a microwave,a small desk and a chair so overall not terrible, it's not like we went to sit in the room anyways. It wasn't terribly noisy and the area was descent. I've been to SF a lot but I wasn't familiar with this area (Cow Hollow/Marina) but there is a lot around here, shopping, eating, bars, mostly all along Chestnut St which is the next street over. We did walk back to the hotel from Pier 39 (it's a little over 2 miles to if you attempt it wear comfy shoes!) The biggest problem that one could face here is parking. I was excited to find a hotel that didn't charge you additional for parking but then I realize that it's first come first serve. Luckily when we arrived there were spots available and then we used public transportation the rest of the weekend so we didn't have to pay for parking around SF or worry about having a spot when we got back to the hotel.

Conveniently located, good price and clean. Limited parking so spaces fill up fast. The water pressure needed a boost. Continental breakfast was adequate.

Cheap hotel. Great rooms. Rooms were clean and nice inside. Awesome location.

The only problem is parking space. The advertisement is misleading. Yes, parking is free but base on first come first serve.

This is a nice motel. The lady at the front desk was helpful and polite. The lobby area is quite small and the breakfast is very limited. But, the room comfortable and clean. The location is close to the bus line that takes you to the whaf and the cable car stop. Many eating places close by. Even a couple of laundrymats near if you need to do laundry. Only negative is that the parking is limited, but we just parked our car and took the bus for the most part. Parking is first come first serve and there are only about 10 or so space. Also there is no elevator to the upstair rooms so if you don't get one on the first floor you have to hike up the stairs with you luggage.

I am very unhappy with their unadvertised parking policy. Avoid this place if you can

The value is very low because the parking amenity was non existent. The room was very noisy and the breakfast was a joke. As a result, I paid way too much!

[...]. the room was really small and narrow, while the bathroom was incredibly big. i have travelled along the west coastline for half month, and this hotel was the worst but the most expensive. Never enter Super 8 on lombard street in San Francisco. That is my suggestion.

simple older no frills hotel. perfect if all you need is a place to sleep. close to many restaurants and bars. easy access to San Fran mass transit. walkable distance to warf and golden gate bridge.

The Hotel was awesome... It started when we couldnt figure out how to get there. The man at the front desk was so helpful to us in figuring out our way. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. It was a great experience and Ill definitely stay there again.

the brakfast was bad and the coffee served at the hotel was not tasty.

I thought I would find a cheap ugly hotel, but I was very surprised to notice they had free parking, excellent room service very clean rooms, cable TV with flat screen Tv's a microwave and a refrigerator on room it was perfect for me and the bed very confortable

Very simple rooms but clean and quiet, exactly what we wanted for that price.Wounderful location very close to all the intertaiments that are included in San Francisco pass. There are a lot of dining places around and beautiful seashore with the view to Golden Gate Bridge.

the stay was nice, very tight parking between cars, very friendly staff
