Old and not clean enough for a 3 stars , photos looks good but is not inside is like a antique store . Not impressed

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean as well. We felt safe walking the streets to the shops and restaurants during the day but at night there were homeless people in the area and it felt unsafe. My daughter and I were happy with the location with the exception of walking back from the restaurants at night.

Once there we got "upgraded" to a "suit", which had 3 main features: a view into one meter far away wall of the neighbor building, handrails in the bath, which made us feel 90 years old, and the "aroma" of used baby diapers in the whole room. We asked to change the room, but they refused, so we left next day. Ah, and don't forget their restaurant, we went there for breakfast and my stomach regrets it even today, 5 days later. It was dirty, the stuff unfriendly and food terrible. DONT GO THERE

A nice, clean, comfortable hotel. Easy walk to Union Square, Chinatown, or Borth Beach.

discounted price for a reason. Bsd neighborhood. Homeless people getting high right across the street. We left immediately because we felt unsafe. Didn't even make it to the rooms.

Nice hotel for the price. Basic, but clean with a friendly staff. Central location. Easy street parking(during the day).

Parking was very expensive at the hotel so it was a hassle parking around that area.

Staff was great. Rooms were dirty and we checked out early and stayed at a different property. They would not refund. The bed skirt was covered in black soot and there were what looked like body fluid stains on the sofa.

Nice and convenient place to stay in SFO at a reasonable price

Good. We love it, nice location room little bit tight and needs be remodeld

Gorgeous view of the bay when you walk out the back door! Great location to walk to any of the piers. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Coffee in the lobby. Decor was cute.

Great, historic charm. Nice staff and friendly help when needed.

Had a great 2 day stay at a cozy hotel with plenty of character! Ideal location for balance of walking distance of Moscone attendee and Union Square shopper without being in a chain hotel. Staff was very friendly, rooms clean and quiet, excellent wifi and free coffee in the AM. PERFECT.

I stayed at this hotel almost 10 years ago, and I think the beds are the same from that time. The bed was so uncomfortable that I couldn't wait for my trip to be over. Sadly, there wasn't an option to change rooms due to the hotel being full. I wouldn't stay here again for any future trips to San Fran. Positives: near the convention center and great restaurants.

Layout is relatively small, but the rooms are clean and it serves it's purpose as a hotel just fine. Staff are super friendly, and Jasper's has pretty nice food!

Many great "non touristy" local restaurants in the area, yet close enough to Powell street shopping, and the cable cars. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable. We used Uber to get everywhere that was beyond walking distance, and they were always just a few minutes away.

I'm a disabled Vietnam veteran. I booked 2 rooms for 1 night before my daughter moved into her 1st year Student Dorm at UCSF. I requested a reclining chair, because I'm unable to sleep in a bed. The room had a single bed (I paid for double beds), and no room for me.

Near Union Square, many good restaurants close by. Easy to get to from the BART station so no need to pay for a shuttle or taxi from the airport.

Dirty hotel with horrible decor. Mold in the bathroom, blood on the ottoman, awkward rooms with no room for the toliet, and curtains from the circus (bright yellow and red strips with yellow/green diamond carpet). Overpriced at 270 bucks for 1 night plus have to shell out an additional hotel fee and parking fee (either valet at 55 bucks or garage at 40 bucks). There is nothing historical or 1920s about this place. Not a resort of any kind just a dirty hotel ripping people off.
