We paid in advance for a room with 2 queen beds as were 4. When you pay in advance you take the risk to loose entire price if you have to cancel. When we arrive they told us the had given our room to someone else because they overbooked... they were going to put some roll on bed . I find that practice absolutely unacceptable especially with customers who paid in advance. In addition beware of hidden fees. When you arrive you are told that there is a Mandatory! Fee of $36 /day on top of the price to cover internet etc. even if you do not use internet you have to pay the fee.. basically this hotel engages in dubious practices to make quick buck on you. There are plenty of hotel around just go somewhere else.

I love the location but the plane is going downhill. Shampoo / conditioner combo. Boo. Cheap

Overall hotel is a good place to stay. Public areas could be refurbished.

Very nice hotel. Upscale, close to everything. Clean and quiet.

Great facility, very affordable, clean, nice staff and comfortable room. Great location close to everything including public transportation if needed. Walking distance to Union Square and other shopping. Would recommend and stay here again on next trip!

It was a good experience, except the valet parking was just too much.

Loved the staff they were extremely kind consider and provided superb hospitality. The Irish lady at the front desk was extremely customer oriented plus Monty was very welcoming and provided great service!

Good location in the heart of downtown San Francisco.

Great hotel to stay in good location and cleanness.

While the hotel was nice and clean, there were several additional fees charged on top of the Orbitz fare that we were informed of when we checked. In addition, the sheets on my king bed did not go to the end of the mattress. I made a note to have it fixed, but the second night the sheets were again short and my feet lay on the actual mattress.

When we arrived at the room- he toilet seat was up and there was urine all around the bowl. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The receptionist was on his cell phone talking and didn't wait on us for 10 minutes. The shower curtain was dirty. So we slept on top of the covers- didn't shower after a long flight from Dallas and left at 7 in the morning and checked into the Hyatt which was phenomenal. I was furious...I have traveled around the world and have never had an experience like this one.

$65 nightly parking and $34 Fascilities Fees so add $100/nite to your listing

Nicer hotel and expensive for our family of 4, but absolutely nothing was included in the price. There was a restaurant in the hotel but you had to pay for that, there was a gym but you had to pay for that, there was wifi available but you also had to pay for that. When we checked in we were told that there were extra charges for those things so we thought it was an option and declined the package deal at the additional cost of $30+/night and were also never given a wifi password to use so we didn't use it. When we checked out we were told that those additional charges per night had been added to our credit card charge when we never used them. We argued and got it removed since they misrepresented to us, but they insisted that it's a standard non-negotiable resort fee. We thought that was really shifty. Also, the rooms, beds and bathrooms were very nice, but one of our beds was consistently shortsheeted even though we told them about it a couple of times during our 4 night stay. That ruined the nice bed experience unfortunately. Also would have liked to have pen and paper in our room to work out our itinerary, but we had to ask for them at the desk and they gave us only 3 sheets of paper so we had to ask again for more. But the hotel was in a pretty good proximity to most things we wanted to see with enough food options around for meals.

I arrived at the hotel at about 9 PM on 8/3/2016 after traveling for most of the day and so was very tired. After checking in and going to the room (2716), I got into bed. Only when I was in bed did I realize that I was room was right behind the elevator block. Therefore, I heard the elevators going up and down. As I am a light sleeper, this was a problem. I was too tired to move and so called operator to indicate that I wanted a room change in the morning. The operator indicated that would alert the front desk. At 6 AM I called the front desk to complain and ask about a room change, somewhere not near the elevator or ice machine. The attendant told me that as I intended to be out at the estimated time of the move, I should pack up my things and leave them in the room and they would be moved to the new room. When I got back to the hotel that afternoon, my new room was not yet sorted. The young lady I worked with, eventually moved the room and issued new keys. When I went to the new room, my bags were not there. I had to go back to the lobby and inquire about the bags. Apparently, they were still in the old room. The upshot was I had to go to get my bags from the old room. Got back to the new room and realized that it was by the ice machine. I had to go back to the front desk for my third room change. Finally they gave me a room away from the elevators or ice machine. Not a great front impression or did it make me disposed to give the hotel falling marks.

I've been using this hotel every now and then. Last night I have a horrible experience. When I checked in the afternoon 540 pm I requested a fridge. As a very patient person I just called after six hours if waiting. My call was received by a certain name Michael, without apology he said he will send me the aforementioned request. Waiting for more than 30 minutes I called again but I was put on hold for five minutes. Then on that time I told him that the radio or the ihome is broken if possible I told him for a replacement and with sarcasm he told me oh now you want to listen to a Radio! Anyhow, after quiet delay I spoke to the evening shift manager lamenting my saga and I told her to atleast make an incident report so it will not happen again but with all her smart move told me just to call the morning shift to relay my issues. Wow as in wow customer service at it's best. What an experience! As I mentioned, I've been using this hotel and the previous experience was awesome. Just a bad staff that particular time. Oh by the way I got my fridge pass almost 12 midnight and but no ihome radio.

The staff was very friendly, hotel was really clean and conveniently located to Union Square, the mall, and close enough to still walk to the piers.

This hotel has been recently updated. It is only about three blocks from Union Square shopping and dining, and rapid transit is just a block away. The hotel was clean and quiet, and we had a spacious corner room. We were able to store our bags before we checked in. The check in and out processes were both smooth, and the staff was friendly. The bell man was very helpful in securing us a car for five people for our return trip to the airport.

4 days in San Francisco great location. Be aware of facilities fees...

I would have given this hotel a 5 overall rating however the parking charge of $66/ day seems a little excessive. We noticed this prior to arrival and parked across the street in the hearst parking garage for $35/ day. The hotel was gorgeous and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. If at all possible try to get on the higher floors. We ended up staying on floor 25 after a free room upgrade and our room overlooked the city and we could even see a portion of Alcatraz. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
