Motel 6 San Francisco - Redwood City

Desk staff was indifferent to the point of rudeness and spoke English poorly. Room was spartan beyond belief, for the price. Cancelled reservations for the following 9 nights and booked elsewhere.

I have to drop a few boxes in the hotel before checking in 2 days. The front office staff are very helpful with that

Simple, clean and convenient. Though I rang the desk multiple times for 5 minutes at a time with no response and there was a high-pitched sound ringing for a minute every 5ish minutes for 4 hours one night.

I didn't think this motel was too bad. It was nice and big for us to stay with 3 adults and one baby. It's what your money's worth. I would stay there again. To me a nice place with a nice view isn't needed, but a place that is pretty clean and don't make me feel like am boxed in a small room I am happy. It is a little farther away from the cool attractions like China town and pier 39 and such but I don't mind driving

I enjoyed being in San Fransisco metropolis the motel 6 was great.

There were drug addicts in rear of the building, prostitutes were their as well. The hotel room that was advertised was not the room given when we made it their. The manager would not give us a better room until we called orbitz. The hotel did not have irons or boards in the room. We had to wait for two days to get one and that was only because we asked for the managers boss. The manager told us we could not get a refund if we didn't like the room we had to just take it and call orbitz to see if they would refund us. We were 2000miles from home with no hotel. The lights didn't work in the room as well.

We needed a place near the airport and the Motel 6 fit the bill. It was clean and the staff was nice.

We picked this motel for its proximity to my son's home prior to a family get-together. Another son checked us in and picked up our room keys since we were arriving very late. Therefore, we had little contact with staff. Those we did interact with were quite pleasant. The motel emphasizes 'no smoking', but the hallway and our room smelled fairly strongly of smoke, so I assume guests are smoking in the hallways or open air areas at ends of halls and this is polluting the halls and rooms nearby. By opening our window to 'air the room out', we managed to get the odor reduced to an acceptable level. Since we were constantly on a time crunch, the problems we encountered were not reported to management until 'after the fact' when we left, so cannot 'fault' them for not dealing with the problems during our stay.

Seemed ok at first, but then the hotel started filling up ( I checked in early, around 2pm). First off, I was given a room on the third floor, even though I am disabled and use a cane. The elevator in the next building over sounded like it was going to break down when I rode it. The open air walkway between buildings eventually became the smoking area for people to lazy to go down to the ground floor, and a few of the hotel guests where even smoking marijuana there. Next, the restaurant that is supposed to be close next to the hotel, Cinnamon's, does not exist. There was a restaurant, Hoobees, but they close at 2:30pm. As dusk rolled around, I went to the ground floor to have a cigarette, and saw people unloading tubs (plastic Rubbermaid tubs) full of laundry. It seems that they knew someone staying at the motel, and decided to take advantage. I saw this happen several more times. The last straw, was as I finished my smoke, the cops rolled through the parking lot, checking out everyone!!! There were parties in other rooms on my floor, and someone had ripped out the smoke detector from the ceiling, and the management left the wires hanging out!! Not a good experience. I will never go back.

After seeing reviews we brought our own bedding but were pleasantly surprised and didn't end up using it. Very basic room with laminate flooring
