Hotel was clean and remodeled. The room size was huge and could have fitted an inflated mattress if more people with staying with us.

The photos and design of the hotel drew us in, but ultimately the room was smaller than expected. Parking is not free (as mentioned) but the price is crazy high at $40 a night while parking for visitors is only $15? There's parking garages around town that are way cheaper or you can park on the street. Staff is pleasant and check in was easy, but we were stuck in a room without a/c and weren't told that until we were already in our room and noticed the heat. Unfortunately only OUR level didn't have a/c and it was okay the first nights when it was cold out, but as it got warmer it was way too difficult that we needed the doors open, extra fans, and etc. Bathroom area is very small and the piping can be seen all along the walls of the room. Otherwise, the beds are fine and a mini refrigerator is provided. There is a pool and gym but the pool there are no towels given or umbrellas as it is an outside pool.

I've stayed here twice already this year on work trips. I would definitely stay again. The hotel is way nicer than you'd expect for such a low price in this area. I picked it on a recommendation from a friend, just trying to save money and thinking I didn't care much as long as it was clean. It's great though! Amazing for walking; I've walked down to the Ferry Building, through the shopping district, to the Modern Art Museum. Plenty of food, shopping, and entertainment nearby. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars (compared to other hotels of a similar nature, obviously we're not comparing it to the Hilton) was because on my second trip I was in a room with no A/C during a heat wave, and I couldn't sleep because of the heat. They're in the middle of installing A/C in all rooms (which do have ceiling fans), I just happened to get one without because I booked last-minute. The first time I stayed, it was a fully positive experience. The rooms are cute, I love the mod style. It has a pool, it's clean and cheap, there's a restaurant and bar attached, and staff are friendly - what more do you want?

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Worth the money. Easy to catch a taxi from that location.

The rooms look like they have recently been updated with a retro look. It was a little warm in the room though, no AC so comfort level wise that was unfortunate. The staff were excellent which really made the stay great. I'm never quite sure when staying in a city what to expect and everyone from the valet to the desk were great.

Every staff member was welcoming and accommodating. The decor is modern and eccentric, but the bathroom was outdated and I refused to take a bath in the tub because it looked dirty. The ceiling fan was also covered in dust and our fire alarm went off for no reason in our room for over 15 minutes, but that was just a faulty smoke detector. The staff was very apologetic and offered to move us, but that would have been a hassle. Overall: I would stay here again. I hope they update the bathrooms and start evaluating the cleanliness in each room, but even if they didn't I would stay here again because of the good people and location.

we asked for 5 people. the accommodation was two queen beds--we had to pull to gather and yet not enough for 4 people. the fifth was sofa come bed--Hopeless. The senior person could not even pass an hour on it without back problem For five people 4 blanket!! when we asked to give us roll on bed , we were denied even when we offer the money--the reason against rules Not even five towels--only four No cream for coffee not enough soap and shampoo when you rent a room for five why not make sure all the provision is for five two water bottles were in the room one with $2.00 prize tag other had none so if we would have used, they would have charged us two dollars I did ask then when leaving why are you misleading customer---no answer would i go there again? NO

Would like to have air conditioning. The ceiling fan was quiet but helpful. Carpet needs to be cleaned - washed. Windows could not open much and the shears were missing so we had to keep the black out curtains closed all the time. The bathroom light would occasionally turn on and off by itself. Overall we were satisfied as the location was central and the staff were helpful.

location somewhat seedy otherwise hotel was adequate

In a city where nightly hotel rates are going up faster than my cholesterol, it's nice to find a semi-affordable place to stay.

My stay was excellent at this location. I had a large group staying with me and we all fit comfortably in the room. The room was priced right, clean, and fit the job.

Clean, modern looking room. Friendly customer service. Although they charge for parking, there is alot of available street parking around.

Stayed here a night for black friday and very satisfy with the cleanliness of the room.

The position is perfect. They have an eating place.

The hotel is special. It has good location and good staffs, my girlfriend and I enjoy the trip to SF. But the room is not as good as the service. But it could understand, because the BW is not one of the luxury hotels. All in all, the hotel is good.

THE LOCATION IS GOOD BUT THE HOTEL IS NOT THE RIGHT ONE TO HAVE FUN IN SAN FRANCISCO

The hotel was clean and comfortable, a little bit noisy when foot traffic was outside the room. Overall a very good value.

We liked our stay in Americania. We could pay more for that design, comfort and good location. We'll definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

Everything is fine except for the price that is kind of high, since this is still motel-type place.
