This place has been helpful and consistent every time I make a trip to the area. They are definitely my preference. Rooms are clean. Amenities are typical. Staff/ownership are helpful.

The non-smoking room smelled like smoke, made everything still stink after we left.

We were there for only one night and it served the purpose. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Negatives: very limited parking, we left and came back and had to park in the back where there was an alley. Breakfast was very limited and not fresh, we did not eat.

Train & traffic noise even with double windows. Parking can be a challenge, not enough spaces & very tight. Good for very short stay.

The hotel is ok but lots of noise from street. Breakfast is nothing more than coffee and cereal w some yogurt. Good wifi and decent amount of channels on tv. Place is ok if you get a good rate. I paid $48/night with a promo code. Wouldn't pay their book rate for what the place is.

Good: Clean room, good mini-fridge and microwave and TV. OK breakfast for the price. Meh: Thin bath towels, you can almost see through them. Bad: Front desk closes at 9pm! If you have an issue to address after 9pm, forget it. They won't answer the phone. IT ISN'T A REAL HOTEL UNLESS SOMEONE IS MANNING THE DESK 24/7. Things happen at night that need to be addressed when they happen. Like late luggage delivery. Or cancellations and rescheduling.

Overall a decent hotel. Right next to El Camino Real so potential to be noisy but I noticed they double windowed the street facing windows, with shades between the windows and curtains inside as well...good idea. Room was OK, clean, bright bath area which I like, free wireless, limited parking, good value.

So as you might guess this is just a motel, no frills which is fine. I was given a room one of only two that sits right on the busy and very loud street, El Camino Real. When I checked out in the morning I was greeted by a nice man and I asked him, "were you sold out last night" in which he replied no. I asked, then why would you ever actually put someone in that room right on the street if you didn't need to? He just said I should have come in to request a change of room. I did check in at a normal time but just dropped off my bag and didn't make it back to the room until after midnight and didn't want to be outside ringing a bell alone at the walk up window. Point being please if you get this room 101 or 201 Do Not accept it, you'll regret it I promise! Other than this it was clean and served it's purpose just with a little less sleep than I'd have liked.

Clean but dated motel. Give three stars b/c it was very close to where we were had an appointment (downtown San Carlos) and b/c it was 80 bucks...a great deal in the Bay area. Otherwise, an ordinary motel.

Towels were thin, room not very clean. Glad the fan would stay on all night and not come on & off, so we had "white noise" to drown outside noise out. Probably wouldn't stay there again. The breakfast was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT--o.j., coffee, and packaged Danish. Never had a poorer breakfast at a motel.

ROOMS SMELLED VERY BAD, FLOOR WAS STILL WET FROM WHATEVER THE CLEANING PEOPLE DID& OUR FEET WAS BLACK FROM WALKING ON IT SO WE HAD TO WEAR OUR SHOES THE WHOLE TIME. TOWELS WERE VERY THIN& NOT VERY CLEAN. BREAKFAST WAS NOTHING BUT CHUNK FOOD.

Location was not bad, bathrooms were dirty and the carpet had stains. Parking was an issue late at night as some of their spaces were taken by some construction stuff. Staff was friendly.

We were only here two nights, but were very impressed by the amenities (minus the pathetic 'breakfast' they give you). We really liked the room, but the toilet hadn't been cleaned when we arrived. Of course the manager got the maid to come and clean it right away, but he treated her very condescendingly. Also, as we were checking in, the manager would not talk to me or address me, even when I asked questions he only answered and addressed my husband. This may be part of his culture, but he should realize that it is not the culture of many of the visitors to his hotel and he needs to participate in their culture as well. Basically I feel that the manager is sexist. Besides that, we enjoyed our stay

i had acouple issues toilet, sink drains slow pillows too worn out stains in bathroom door and on wall by toilet on right side carpet stained, cob webs on cealing lamp on table tv lamp wasnt working i arrived early and the front desk gentleman got me in my room at 11am thank you for doing that although my stay was good i was alittle upset because i requested 6 big towels cause it was me and my boyfrien and my baby and frontdesk guy was like surprise hey its not like i was going to leave with them lol i was like are you serios plus i had to give him the used ones in exchange for the one that i need house attendant were very nice

Well this place is better than sleeping in the car I suppose. The room was supposed to be a non smoking room however when we checked in it was obvious that someone had hot-boxed in this small space for what must have been a long weekend without opening the doors. there were clean ashtrays for our non smoking convenience. The carpets, bead spreads and blankets were cigarette burned as well giving it that extra added flavor. The room need a fresh coat of paint some years ago, as there were questionable and mysterious stains on the ceiling and walls. The beds billed as double queens were doubles at best. They were more comfortable than sleeping on the ground but I wouldn't classify them as overly comfy. The parking is free to guests but the spaces in front (most secure) are very very small, too small for my small car, and the ones in the back (not very secure at all) are normal size. The room was cleaned up every day and the staff were very nice and cordial so that was a good thing. Even though this was at a bargain price for the area I would not place this motel on my list further than about 1/4 from the bottom. Definitely something you settle for rather than aim for.

Front man is very good. But the room is not good.

Convenient to both San Carlos and Redwood City, this motel has microwaves and fridges in every room, decent TV channel selection, plus free wireless internet, and breakfast pastry, OJ, and coffee in the morning. It's affordably priced, fairly comfortable, and while the rooms are basically okay, the decor is getting older and somewhat worn. I've stayed there often because it was close to where I needed to be and the service has been good, but would only recommend it if you're not concerned with decor being in great condition and you don't mind being right next to a heavily trafficked business artery and across from a rail line (Caltrain).

the room i had smelled the bathroom needed maintenance i will never stay there again i will pay more for a nicer place

Staff was attentive and courteous. Saw no evidence of hot tub or sauna advertised.. Room was clean, but towels were tiny , not even normal bath size, and worn thin, pillows were very thin. The continental breakfast was stale cheap individually packaged Danish rolls like they sell in bulk at Costco, packaged orange juice and watery weak coffee. Yuck! The internet connection worked well, and blackout curtains were good.
