I paid extra for a bay view room. They failed to inform me that there was going to be an airshow (one that they advertised *in* the hotel) in the bay essentially the entirety of my stay. It was disruptive and made for an unpleasant experience. The hotel in general was fine, areas were nice, internet was slow, but if I'd been able to sleep, work, or enjoy my actual room, it'd have been a much better experience.
GOOD: Lots to see and do within walking distance, including great restaurants and attractions. Southwest view from my balcony was breathtaking. Room was clean and modern. Check-in was quick. Check-out was super easy too, with TV remote. Not so good: Starbucks inside the hotel didn't honor my complimentary birthday coffee offer. really? Valet parking was $49 A DAY!! but $4.50 for a birthday coffee was too much? I was really bummed. Also, elevators had kinda long wait times.
Staff was great, the hotel restaurant was fantastic. Excellent location to many attractions. Will definitely stay again.
I really recommended this hotel if you stay in San Diego. It was located near or a short walk to a lot of attraction such as USS Midway battleship museum, morning fish markets, ocean view restaurants, Convention Center, etc. For breakfast don't forget to go to this famous waffle restaurant just 4 mimutes walk across the street at Front St. Enjoy your San Diego visit.
All positives for my experience. Beautiful pool, nice gym, and close to everything. Hop on the train to old town and be there in 5 minutes. Same for the airport, USS Midway etc. We had a wonderful breakfast in the hotel one of the mornings, and some evening drinks by the fire. Great experience.
Great time, felt at home. Fantastic unexpected facilities, great helpful concierge, did not park, close to the airport and never heard a flight, great views facing east, super moon and sunrise
Upscale hotel, convenient location, walking distance to all San Diego sights. Great harbor views from many rooms.
Very friendly staff, amazing amenities, great design
My first choice of hotel when traveling to San Diego. Nice amenities. Great bar with a fun food menu. Excellent location to convention center and other attractions.
Overall, stay was ok. The rooms are not as child friendly as I would have hoped; my son hit his face on the glass topped side table.
I liked this hotel and even got free wifi upon checking in! I have no complaints about this hotel and thought the staff was very nice.
Was very pleased with this hotel and really can't say enough good things! The location was great and the staff was wonderful. Will definitely be staying here again!!
Everything was as expected. We have stayed here several times and look forward to staying here again.
Great property, centrally located to the Gas Lamp quarter. Easy walking distance to Seaport Village (shopping area). Unmatched views from our balcony room. Very nice accommodations, fantastic staff throughout. Would definitely stay at this property again in the future.
I love this hotel! It is immaculate , beautifully designed, luxury at a very good price. I brought my 15-year old daughter with me and I had to attend meetings. She felt safe and secure and found her way around easily. We had a balcony and Bay view -- breathtaking! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze. The beds had crisp, clean linen with just-right mattress firmness. We'll be back for our next vacation. No doubt!
This was my second time staying at this Marriott and the experience was great. The staff, amenities, location can't be beat. The rooms were clean and offered a great view. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who travels to San Diego!
Hotel was nice, easy to get to - staff went above and beyond to help out with any needs. They moved us to a balcony room that had a great view of the fireworks on the 4th.
final four tickets...hotel was close and a wonderful experience.
I loved my stay at this hotel. Great location, walking distance from Gaslamp quarters and Seaport village (boardwalk). The amenities were great. Restaurants, pools, hot tub, bonfires, bars, gift shop, and amongst other things.
Clean, modern, great pool side service! Small balcony but great view of city. Valet was $30!
