Hotel was at a pretty good location. Near beaches, attractions etc...The office staff, housekeeping, cooks etc were ALL very nice and friendly. Anytime we needed somerhing, they were nice enough to accommodate. Hotel needs lots of cosmetic work. We stayed near the vending machines & pool....there was always loud noises at ALL times of the day/night. Our room had a king bed and sofa sleeper. King bed was comfortable and clean. I pulled out the sofa sleeper for my kiddos to sleep on, the mattress springs were coming out of the cushion, the sheets were filthy, had lots of sand/dirt/hair. I called the front desk and they immediately came and brought us clean sheets. The sheets they brought us seemed clean but we're so old, they had many stains and very worn out. During the night, I got up to use the bathroom, when I turned on the light, there were roaches on the entertainment center where I had some boxed snacks for my kids. Thankfully everything was closed and sealed...it was still gross to see roaches!! Underneath the door, there was about a 1 inch gap where anything could come in or out. Price wasn't cheap during our stay so I expected a better quality hotel.
The hotel looks nice in the pictures but it definitely is not. It's also not in a nice part of town.
The staff at this hotel was very kind and helpful. The hotel itself is disgusting. Don't stay here!!
there was no Wi-Fi all week. I told them about it over and over, and they said they would fix it, but they never did. Plumbing problems all week...one morning I woke up to no water in my room!
Trash, around bulding, terrible parking, waterbugs in the bathroom the size of a dollar coin, if u like that, get it but don't bring your kids here,
My room was clean, and for the price it was very good. All appliances worked. It even had a small microwave! along the coffee machine and refrigerator. I didn't have a chance to try the free breakfast. as a woman traveling alone, safety is important, i booked this hotel online, once there I felt safe around the hotel facilities. Yes, it was a good stay and will highly recommend it.
This a nice stay kid friendly with breakfast not to mention great price
I loved this hotel. It wasn't a five star hotel. but we got a very nice room with a great view and the pool was really nice. I would have really liked more options when it came to breakfast but what they had was really good, too.
Rooms smell me and my mother and rooms both us had to get air freshener because smelled of Body odor small bugs all over the room when returning home we had to drop off the clothes to get washed right away DO NOT STAY HERE
I was nervous about the area, based on the large homeless population around, as well as a "massage parlor" across the street, and an all nude strip club nearby. But, I figured it was only for one night, right? The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the price was great for San Diego. I'd stay there again.
We arrived at 2:00 p.m. and were told to come back in 1 hour and 5 minutes to check in. We have checked in early at a few places before and if they could not accommodate us at other places they were never so rudely abrupt about it. The room itself was okay, but the television (despite an HBO brochure) would only go on, volume up & down but channels would not change. So we had Hallmark Channel for our stay. The bathroom exhaust fan would work sporadically. Amenities were minimal, shampoo, conditioner, soap and 2 cups of coffee. The complimentary breakfast was good but a little confusing. It was across the street and the coffee was in a separate room from the main breakfast. The pool was also across the street. This was okay, but just enough of an inconvenience we didn't use it.
Very disappointed with the facilities here. The outside of the buildings look fine but inside is a different storyline. This hotel is old and the mechanics seemed to be the originals. Our ac spewed musty moldy air and was almost unbearable. Half of The electrical outlets were useless because the receptacles were worn out and our devices literally kept falling out of them unless we physically held them in. We also went through several door keys because they just stopped working. I will say the staff is very helpful and responsive but this facility needs some serious maintenance. It is close to mcrd
Quick and easy stay if your looking for a beach access
I woke up to no hot water and had to take a cold shower. Then at 8:45 I got a knock on the door for "housekeeping" even though checkout isn't until 11:00. I had a horrible experience and will never stay there again.
Ok cons frirst, When we arrived we noticed that a portion of the parking next to the office was blocked off by cones, I ended up parking in the back of what they call the first lot. Going into the office all the staff were polite and did their best to help. It was obvious enough however that at least the girl checking me in had never been to the back rooms where she put us. She said we had a pool view when in reality ur front view was a hallway wall and the balcony view was a car wash/street. Pro- When we entered the room it was more welcoming that I had expected. There wasn't those horrible bed covers that small hotel normally have. There was a small sitting area to have our coffee, it was set up in an odd spot but wasn't hard to move. Con- The plugs were behind the beds or across the room so having a long charger was helpful. And finally the biggest complaints from my mother would be there was only one small trash for everyone to use and it wasn't located in the bathroom when we showed up. the sliding door was difficult to use, especially for my mother. Pro- the beds were comfy enough and there were ample pillows for the both of us, it was clean, we went to the hot tub for a bit and spoke with others about their rooms. We all seem to have the same complaints(one family had a flushing problem, but that was fixed while we were at the hot tub). Also if u have a larger family stay I suggest requesting more towls before getting to the room. price was good, I'd stay again.
It's near to beach, sea world and other places. It's clean. The staff is nice. It's easy to walk to have dinner.
We were greeted and told where our room was. That was the end of the customer service. I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews already shown on Orbitz. Got to the room to find out the air conditioner barely worked. Most of the drawers were missing the knobs and one of the drawers kept rolling open to create a knee high obstacle right in the middle of the walkway. The beds are old and dilapidated. Practically separated my shoulder the first night trying to get comfortable but to no avail. We asked for more towels since our family of six could not function on the 3 towels provided. This became an issue when we asked for towels to be brought up while we were at SeaWorld. We did have a "No Service" sign on the door cause all we needed were the towels. One of the kids' medication came up missing the next morning. We turned the room upside down but alas medication was gone. Manager refused to hear us since was our fault for asking for more towels and leaving the sign on the door. Somehow they are not responsible for their employees actions once a guest leaves the "No Service" sign out. Had to make special order for medication, luckily Walgreens is right next door but still ruined most of the day waiting for prescription to be refilled.
The staff was really nice and offer for a free upgrade.
Nice hotel for the price. Better than I expected it to be. Had a couple issues, but hotel staff immedialty corrected them .Nice little breakfesr served to save on money and travel time. Only downside was they have a small parking area in terms of the spaces size for each individual car.
The hotel was in a good location but the bathroom and floors weren't clean, and the beds and pillows weren't comfortable.
