Generally clean and in good condition. Staff was super friendly. Good amenities. Hallway outside our room smelled faintly like vomit, but there was no evidence of anything. Really bizarre and off putting, but the room was perfectly fine.

This hotel turns a boring business trip into an event. Each evening I would enjoy the facilities on the roof-top where there is a full scale view of downtown San Diego. The bar, swimming pool and fire pits provide an extra ambience with all the amenities of an outdoor lounge. There is a DJ on Friday and Saturday evenings which create a festive, upscale feel different than the downtown Gaslamp district venues. I love this place!

The location was great as the hotel is very close to restaurants, bars, and shopping. The $45 for parking is a little ridiculous combined with the room not being very clean. You can do better.

Heard people having sex, most uncomfortable bed EVER

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for work/relaxation while photographing a wedding in San Diego. Hotel is clean, comfortable and in the perfect location. Walk out the door to stores, restaurants, etc. $8 Uber ride to the airport. Staff was super friendly and definitely went above and beyond. Can't wait to come back.

Stayed 5 nights- Friday night thru Wednesday. The area is night life central but I was there for work. I was surprised at how quiet and comfortable I was. With so much action right outside and even in the hotel. I had fun too! There is a rooftop pool with a bar that was perfect. Walking distance to everything and the staff was wonderful.

there was dirty clothing i.e. socks and underwear that was NOT ours on the floor behind the table by the window. the room wasn't serviced until late so I walked in on them cleaning and had to change quickly. I'd ordered a bigger room online and was greeted with a standard room and no vacancy for an upgrade.

Our bathroom was dirty. And the wall is glass so there is no privacy when using the restroom. The bar upstairs blasted music until 2am. It was so loud and the hotels answer is to give you ear plugs. Then drunk people wandered the halls. Our neighbors came home at 5am and started their own party.

Arrived late and staff got me into my room quickly. Very helpful. I like how the water/juice are included in the price of stay and the basket of snacks

The staff here is incredible! They were very attentive and helpful. The rooftop pool was awesome. We had breakfast every morning on the rooftop patio restaurant and the service was top notch. Rooms were very comfortable, only thing I would say is that there needs to be an exhaust fan in the bathroom as it got hot and humid in there after a shower. Loved the fact that water, soda and selected snacks were complimentry. Thank you for an amazing stay!

A nice, clean hotel in a very good location. The rooftop bar/club is really nice, with a killer view. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff very helpful, upbeat, and always there when you needed something Modern urban hotel atmosphere - Walkable to lots of resturants, public transit Happy Hour drinks, appetizers, view on the rooftop deck were fantastic!

Fun time. If you don't mind music playing until 1:30 AM on weekends from rooftop club then it's ok to stay on top floor. Otherwise stay on lower floors .

Stayed at Andaz while in town for a convention. It was a little further from the convention center than I would have preferred, but still only a 10-15min walk. The hotel was very clean and modern. The standout was definitely the roof top pool deck. Perfect for grabbing a drink and relaxing after work.

I stayed at this hotel for the first time about a month ago for a business trip. I liked it so much that I decided to take my girlfriend back for Valentines Day a few weeks later. While I like staying at luxury resorts while on vacation, there is something about the Andaz experience that makes me want to stay there instead. The location couldn't be any better. I highly recommend staying at the Andaz, San Diego

Hotel looked very nice. Staff members were friendly and informative about surrounding restaurants, bars, and other areas. Roof top bar was amazing but a little pricey. Complimentary services included WiFi, drinks (water, soda, juices), certain snacks (Chocolates, chips, etc), and wine in the lobby area. I would definitely go back and stay at this hotel again

This is my second time at the Andaz and it was another great experience. The location is fantastic and the staff is incredible. I will be back and would recommend it to all my friends and family.

Hotel was great. Service was phenominal. Location was perfect. Only complaint, small room directly next to the elevator shaft.... so during the day and early evening.. I could hear the elevator non-stop, but I didnt spend much time in the room other than sleeping so not too big of a deal.

Such a beautiful and comfortable hotel. So many of the little things included (sodas, water, sparkling water, juice, chocolate bars, tortilla chips, granola bar all free in mini bar) and wifi... where most hotels would gouge you for this stuff. Pool, bar, staff are amazing! Great location for walkable to downtown and gaslamp. Highly recommend it!

I would say I was quite surprised by the abundance of homeless right outside at the Salvation Army next door. It was pretty loud even on the 5th floor and I know we were in the heart of the city but I've stayed in plenty of big cities and not "heard" the distraction of surroundings like we did in San Diego. Overall nice hotel and great staff though!
